Fab Friday 109

Oh yes, it’s Friday and an actual one for me! I did have a nice day at the Store, my Parents stopped by in the morning and some peeps came in to pick up their orders. My Parents were out at my Brother’s watching the kiddies so I had to fend for myself for dinner, pancakes it was! LOL! We had Thirsty Thursday at my house and Heather and Brian came by. We had a good laugh and it was nice to catch up with Brian, he has been so busy lately we don’t get to see him. I spoke to Jim on the phone for a while, he’s getting ready for his company this weekend. Today I have a haircut in the morning and then another fun filled day at the Store! 😀

What makes today an even better Friday, why it’s time for another Fab Friday sketch…

I played with some more new Concord & 9th goodies! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My background is a piece of Solar White 80lb, I stamped the Concord & 9th Barnwood Background Stamp in Ballet Slippers and adhered the panel to the card base. I added a piece of Ice Gold Curios Metallic with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner along with a strip of Gold Glitter Card to the background. The flower and greetings are from the Concord & 9th Lily Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the Lily in Black Licorice using my MISTI so I could get a nice bold impression by double stamping it. The center is more Ballet Slippers and the flower is cut out with Scissors. My thinking of is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto a piece of Black and that is adhered to the panel. I stamped the you in more Black Licorice and also used my scissors to cut it out. Some 3D Foam Squares adhere the Lily and you to the card and it’s done! No one likes to make a sympathy card but I think this would make a very nice one. I hope that you enjoyed my card for the Fab Friday Sketch Challenge! There is some more inspiration for you over on the BLOG and we hope to see your creation in the gallery! Thank you for taking some time to come and see me today! Have a fabulous Friday! 🙂

Paper Players 337

Hello! Yesterday turned out to be a lovely day indeed! It got up into the mid-sixties with plenty of sun! I made sure that I stepped outside quite a few times while I was at the Store! I got in a bunch of new Concord & 9th, got it all checked in and played with some of it too! After work I had dinner with my Parents and came home and cleaned a little. My friend Sue came by and so did Heather and George. A bunch of friends on a Wednesday night, who could ask for anything more?! Today Renee leaves for her little scrapbooking adventure to PA with a bunch of the ladies so I’ll be manning the Store for a few days! 😀

One of the cards that I made yesterday is for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

A nice layered sketch! My card starts off with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Concord & 9th Heartstrings Die to cut out a piece of Illustrated Faith 12×12 Paper. It’s adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. Next up I heat embossed the XO from the Concord & 9th Love Notes Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder onto a strip of Vellum. My greeting is from the same set and is also heat embossed in Gold onto a strip of Black with both ends flagged. I hid the adhesive behind the black strip and adhered the vellum under it. The flower is from the Concord & 9th Fill-In Phrases Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Ballet Slippers and Bubblegum. I used my Scissors to cut it out and adhered it to the card with 3D Foam Squares. It needed a little Sparkle so I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Ballerina Pink, Pink Blush and Gold Sequins. I love that flower, so nice and simple! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge! Thank you for visiting with me! Have an interesting Thursday! 🙂

Another rainy day, well it actually poured in the morning and then just drizzled for the remainder. The weather was gloomy but I had a bright sunny time at the Store. We got a few visitors and Renee and I had a good laugh as we always do! I left around 4:30 to come home and meet Jim. He was already cooking when I arrived. We had a nice dinner, saw Taylor, went over and visited with my Parents and then worked on the crafty project. It’s coming along! I have some Concord & 9th arriving at the Store today! New goodies! Can’t wait to play! 😀

I have a little card to share with you today for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge…

Funnily enough I actually made this card three week’s ago, it helps to pay attention when checking the Design Team group to see what the next challenge is! LOL! To start my card I stamped the images from the Hero Arts Welcome Home Photopolymer Stamp Set in Memento Tuxedo Black and used my Copics to color them in. The greeting is cut out with the Hero Arts Infinity Circles Dies and the images with the Coordinating Hero Arts Welcome Home Frame Cuts. To my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I adhered a piece of Chinese Red that I flagged both ends on. My background is a piece of 48lb Vellum, I heat embossed the Hero Arts Wood Floor Bold Prints Background in Hero Arts Copper Embossing Powder.  The images and greeting are adhered to the Vellum with 3D Foam Squares and then I adhered the Vellum to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. Apparently I really do like that Welcome Home Set, I have gotten a ton of use out of it! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see what the rest of the Team has dome and let’s see yours in the gallery! Thank you so much for visiting with me today! Have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 92 – Color Inspiration!

What started out to be a rainy drizzly morning brightened up by the afternoon. Renee and I kept busy at the Store, she had her Monthly Memories class and I worked on some projects. After work I went straight over to see Heather. We ran a few errands and then had dinner. After that we watched a little TV. Today I have so many more projects to work on at the Store and then Jim is coming over this evening to make dinner. We will work on more of the crafty project too! Should be a very good day! 😀

It’s Tuesday and that means that it’s time for a new Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

I wanted to make a nice simple card, these colors are some of my favorites! I started out by stamping the blossom from the Concord & 9th Brushed Blossom Photopolymer Stamp Set in Wet Cement, Passion Fruit, Grape Soda, Charcoal and Soft Pool using my Mini MISTI. The greeting is stamped in Charcoal and the dots in Wet Cement. I adhered the panel to a piece of Soft Sky and then to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The delicate die cut is cut from Kraft using the Concord & 9th Blossom Die and it’s adhered to the card with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Amethyst and Sparkling Clear Sequins give the card a little sparkle! I do love that flower, so deconstructed. I also like that the Die doesn’t match up perfectly! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Color Inspiration Challenge! Make sure and stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Design Team’s cards! We hope to see yours in the gallery! Thanks for dropping by today! Have a terrific Tuesday! 🙂

Mojo Monday 490

Oh, it’s Monday already. The weekend really does go so fast! I did have a very nice day off! I ran a few errands in the morning and then Jim came over with lunch and we worked on his crafty project a little more. The rest of the evening was spent watching a TV and just being. It felt so nice to do not much at all. Today back in the swing of things at the Store! 😀

It’s Monday and time for this week’s Mojo Monday sketch…

My card starts off with a base of Ivory 110lb Card Stock. The notebook paper is a piece of Authentique 12×12 from the Twisted Collection. A piece of Echo Park Wintertime This & That 12×12 is adhered to a piece of Chinese Red and that is adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My image and greeting are from the Hero Arts Welcome Home Photopolymer Stamp Set and are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black. I colored in the bunny with Prismacolor Pencils and adhered him and the greeting to the card with 3D Foam Squares. A few Pretty Pink Posh Raspberry and Sparkling Clear Sequins and the card is done! I Hate When…

I have been liking Sunday’s as my day off! The one day crop at the Store yesterday was fun as always! I made some cards with Evelyn and Susan, that was a lot of fun! After work I came home and visited with my Parents for a bit and then Jim came over and we watched Rogue One – A Star Wars Story and then ran out for some late night Diner! I haven’t done that in a long time! Today I think that I have some craftiness on tap and then who knows?! I’m sure it will be a good day! 😀

My friend Sue called me the other day and told me that she was going to place and order with Lil’ Inker and there is a stamp set that I have wanted from them for a long time! That’s what I used to make today’s card! The base is Neenah Solar white 110lb Card Stock. I stamped the images from the Lil’ Inker Tribal Chic Photopolymer Stamp Set in Lawn Fawn Grape Soda, Ballet Slippers and Minty Fresh Ink onto a piece of Solar White 80lb. That is then adhered to a piece of Black and then adhered to the card. My greeting is from the Lil’ Inker The Fine Print Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black. I used the Lil’ Inker Dual Stitched Triangle Dies to cut out the greeting and a few pieces of Black. They are adhered to the card with E-Z Runner and 3D Foam Squares. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Orchid and Onyx Sequins and the card is done. I really do love that very different greeting set! So clever! I hope that you like today’s card! Thanks for spending some of your Sunday with me! Have a simple and fun day! 🙂

Kind Heartstrings Friend

It’s the weekend peeps! It’s supposed to be warm here but rainy all day today, better than cold and windy, right?! I had a nice busy day at the Store, got to see my friends Arnise and Marianne and I got to talk to Grace!! I was a little tired yesterday, late night Thursday’s will do that! I got home, had some dinner, cleaned a little and then parked myself on the couch for the rest of the evening. Sometimes a lazy Friday is just what you need! 😀

I needed a nice simple card, my brain wasn’t functioning at full capacity yesterday! This is what I came up with. My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and I placed it in my Mini MISTI and stamped the heart from the Concord & 9th Heart Smile Photopolymer Stamp Set in Lawn Fawn Merman Ink. I stamped it three times to get a nice saturated impression. Before I took it out of the MISTI I stamped the friend sentiment from the same set in more Merman Ink. The Concord & 9th Heartstrings Die is then used to cut out a piece of Ballerina Pink and that is adhered to the card over the stamped heart with 3D Foam Squares. I cut out the kind from another piece of Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the Concord & 9th Kind Card Add-On Die and adhered it to the heart with my Quickie Glue Pen. I love the way the kind seems to come out of the Heartstrings die cut! I hope that you like my quick card for today! Thanks for stopping by and have a super Saturday! 🙂

Freshly Made Sketches 280

What a lovely Thursday I had! I managed to get a bunch of stuff done at the Store which was great despite me leaving at 3:00. Jim got to my house around 4:30 and we headed out around 4:45. We made pretty good time into Manhattan and went straight to Nick’s for dinner. I haven’t been there in a long time, ever since Kim moved out of the neighborhood. Dinner was delicious and after we walked for a bit and then took the Subway down to Times Square and headed to the St. James Theatre to see Present Laughter with Kevin Kline. It was a really funny play and the acting was great! Back on the Subway and up to the garage to get the car. We were back at my house by 11:45! Not bad at all! It was a very nice way to spend a Thursday evening! 😀

Today’s card is for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

I started by stamping my images from the Lawn Fawn Bicycle Built for You Photopolymer Stamp Set in Jet Black and coloring them in with Copics.  They are cut out with the Coordinating Dies. Next I used the Lawn Fawn Road Border Lawn Cuts to cut out a piece of Black and Solar White 80lb and adhered them together and then to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My greeting is from the Lawn Fawn Happy, Happy, Happy Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the happy in Sugarplum and cut it out with the Coordinating die and two more from 110lb Card Stock. They are adhered to each other and to the card with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. The rest of the greeting is stamped in Lobster. Some 3D Foam Squares adhere the bicycle, girl and groceries and the card is done! I love that bicycle on the road and the fun greeting! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! Thank you for coming by! Have a fantastic Friday! 🙂

Paper Players 336

Well, it was back to Winter here again yesterday! We had chilly temps and lots of wind! I appreciate the tastes of Spring but I really would prefer that it stick around! I had a very busy day at the Store. I did manage to get a lot done and most of it was while I was multi-tasking which never usually goes well! LOL! I made four cards and got a few orders together. After work I came home and spent some time with Daniel. We had to go down in the basement with the flashlight and wander around! He’s such a funny little man! Heather came by around 7:00 and I helped her with her passport form and she helped me with my shredding! We ran to BJ’s and then it was time to call it a night! Tonight I’ll be heading into Manhattan to go and see play with my friend Jim, should be a great evening! 😀

Two of the cards that I made yesterday were requested by a friend and I’m sharing them with you today for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

For the first one I used the Lawn Fawn Critters Ever After Photopolymer Stamp Set. The images are stamped in Jet Black and colored in with Copics. They are cut out with the Coordinating Dies. To create my clouds I used the Lawn Fawn Puffy Cloud Borders to cut out some Solar White 80lb and adhered them to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. On the bottom one I stamped the Birthday from the Lawn Fawn Let’s Bokeh and the Little One from the Lawn Fawn Little Bundle Photopolymer Stamp Sets in Jet Black and adhered the cloud with 3D Foam Squares. My happy is from the Happy, Happy, Happy Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Lobster and cut out with the Coordinating Die, it’s adhered to the cloud with Multi-Matter Medium. I added the castle and the unicorn with more 3D Foam Squares and the card is done!

For the second card I used the Lawn Fawn Elphie Selfie Photopolymer Stamp Set. The images are stamped in Jet Black and again colored in with Copics, the Coordinating Dies cut them out. The Stitched Hillside Borders cut out a piece of Herb Garden and the Little Picket Fence Border cuts out some Solar White 80lb. I adhered them to a piece of Moonstone and then adhered that to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The greetings are from the same sets as the first card with the happy stamped in Bubblegum. The stamped and colored images are adhered to the card with 3D Foam Squares and again, the card is done!

I didn’t add any sequins or other embellishments, the cards are to celebrate two one year old girl’s birthdays! I hope that you like my two cards for this week’s Paper Players challenge! I thank you so much for coming by today! Have a totally awesome Thursday! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 236

It was a beautiful day here yesterday, a little taste of Spring! The Store was pretty busy, I did get the Lawn Fawn order in and emailed everyone to let them know that their goodies had arrived. I got to see Sandy for a bit and then Sue stopped by and right after that Debbie! Today I have to get my butt in gear and make sure that I have all of the projects for upcoming classes ready! I’m even going to send out a newsletter!! Gotta get back into the swing of things! Last night my friend Jim came over. We ran a few errands and picked up dinner, we even put the top down in the car! A little time was also spent working on a special project! It’s going to be great when it’s finished! 😀

It’s Wednesday today so time for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge…

I actually made the tag for this card a few weeks ago and then made it into a card. I dusted off some older Lawn Fawn sets too! The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Lawn Fawn Grassy Hillside Borders to cut the top and bottom of a piece of Herb Garden Card Stock and adhered that across the center. My circle is a piece of Kraft that I cut out with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Circles Stackables Lawn Cuts. The tag is cut from a piece of Solar White 80lb with the Lawn Fawn Tag, You’re It Lawn Cuts, I tied a piece of Natural Twine through the hole and adhered it to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. All of the images except the worm and branch are from the Lawn Fawn Love you S’more Photopolymer Stamp Set and are stamped in Jet Black and colored in with Copics. The worm and branch are from the Lawn Fawn Bugs and Kisses Photopolymer Stamp Set, I used the Coordinating Dies to cut out all of the images and then adhered the to the card with 3D Foam Squares. I love those stamp sets and I’m so happy with the way the marshmallows tuned out! They look nice and toasty! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s card and let’s see yours in the gallery! Thank you for spending some time with me today! Have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂
