Fab Friday 107

Ahhh… Friday! Still my favorite day of the week! I did feel like Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz yesterday, it was so incredibly windy! You could actually lean into the wind and not fall over! I had my Pop-Up Box card class at the Store yesterday, a good time as always! Renee left a little early to go and have dinner with her daughter and I had dinner with Daniel and my Parents when I got home. My friend Jim came by and we watched TV and had a nice relaxing evening. I really do need to plan a trip into Manhattan but I think I will wait until the weather gets a little warmer!

Today I have my card for the Fab Friday challenge to share with you…

My card is nice and simple! I started with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My little bit of embossed gold sticking out at the bottom is from the Concord & 9th Lace Leaf Photopolymer Stamp Set. I heat embossed the leaf in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder onto a piece of 48lb Vellum and cut it out with the Concord & 9th Grateful Leaf Die. Across the card and on top of the leaf is a piece of Deep Blue with both ends flagged. Next up is a piece of American Crafts Gold Glitter Paper and that is adhered with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My greeting is the Concord & 9th Kind Card Add-On Die, I cut it out of Deep Blue three times and cut off the ends. The die cuts are adhered to each other with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive and to the Glitter Card Stock with Multi-Matte Medium. I decided that I liked it nice and simple so I resisted the urge to add some sequins! I do love the simplicity of the card and we all could use as much kindness as we can get! I hope that you like my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Sketch Challenge. Make sure that you stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and let’s see yours in the gallery! Thanks for spending some of your Friday with me! Have a fabulous day! πŸ™‚

  1. Sweet, simple and the color combo reminds me of Royalty! I love the way you triple cut words and assemble them together so perfectly that one would never know how many layers there are. The effect is stunning. Nice, clean and to the point Justin. You’re right, we could all be a bit kinder and make an effort to perform at least one random act of kindness each day. How enriched our life would be. You have yourself a fabulous Friday my friend. Love and hugs to you. XXOO πŸ™‚

  2. Beautiful card, Justin. I love the colors and the lacey gold leaf is a special touch. It’s supposed to be cold here over the weekend but by mid-week it should be back to 60’s. Can’t really complain about that. Have a wonderful Friday.
