Freshly Made Sketches 277

It’s going to be a chilly weekend here, Winter is back! πŸ™ I had a nice surprise at the Store yesterday morning, my friend Brian came by for a visit. He needed a custom stamp made and I haven’t seen him in ages! My friend Sue also stopped by which was really nice! After work I had dinner with my Parents and then watched a movie. Renee has a kids class at the Store today and I have many projects to get finished! πŸ˜€

Time now for my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches

I went with nice and simple just like the sketch! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. For the background I used a little piece of paper that Renee had left over, it’s from the Illustrated Faith line. I die cut the love from the Hero Arts Love Stamp & Cut from a piece of Chinese Red and two pieces of Solar White 110lb. They are adhered to each other with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive and then to a strip of Ballerina Pink with Multi-Matte Medium with the rest of the greeting stamped in Crimson Hybrid Ink. The strip is adhered to the card with 3D Foam Square and a few Pretty Pink Posh Pink Peonies, Raspberry and Sparkling Clear Sequins are added to finish it! I do like the little brush stroke hearts on that Patterned Paper, fun and subtle! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches Challenge! Thanks for stopping by! Have a stellar Saturday! πŸ™‚

  1. Hi Justin:

I love a sweet and simple card and this one certainly fits the bill. Pretty neat the way you flagged the end of your “you and me” strip to match the angle of the V in the paper. You crafty little guy you! LOL Love it!

Pretty cold here today also. In fact I saw snow flakes flying a few minutes ago but they have already been replaced by sunshine. It isn’t going to warm up much because of the wind chill factor today so it’s a great day to stay inside and play with stamps. You have yourself a Super Saturday my friend. Love and hugs to you, XXOO πŸ™‚

    1. Hello Grace!
Thank you! I do try and tie all of the elements together, sometimes it works! LOL!
You can have all of your snow! I need the Spring and Sun please! I hope that you had a nice day stamping! Love and hugs back to you! XOXO πŸ™‚

  2. Quick and easy. Love that DP. Yep its cold here also, but sunny. I haven’t seen sun in about a week.

I just came back from a stamp show, LOL like i realy need more stamps. Actually I went because The Paper Cut was there and I finally got a nice selection of their speciality papers. I would have bought online but there shipping is high. LOL, I mentioned that as I was purchasing my goodies and she gave me a card for there warehouse sale and she said, ” You know we are only about 2.5 hours away from where you live” Hubby just cringed. LOL

I was pretty good, I only bought a few things that were speciality items from their stores and not sold online at major places. Hubby drove me, not sure why but I felt guilty so I treated to lunch. Now its playtime!!!!

    1. Thanks Linda! I do love a quick and easy card! I’m glad that you had sun!
LOL! Like any of us need ore stamps! I love The Paper Cut! I think I’m going to go to Allentown just for them! Paper shipping is really high, crazy! LOL! You’ll be off to the warehouse! I’m jealous! Hubby loves you and gets your hobby! And lunch is always nice! πŸ™‚

  3. So wonderfully clean and fresh! Love the word layered over the banner strip – and the sprinkling of sequins is perfect with the paper. Thank you for playing along with us at Freshly Made Sketches. Thank you for playing along with us at Freshly Made Sketches.
