Freshly Made Sketches 278

As they promised it snowed for much of the day. We got about 4 inches or so but thankfully it didn’t really stick to the roads. I got to the Store and Renee said that she was going to stay home. She lives an hour away so better to be safe than sorry. I got a few things done and then around 1:00PM we decided to close. Heather was off yesterday because she had another procedure on her back so I went straight to her house from work. I got all caught up on my blog comments! Finally! Sorry for the delay! I do read them as they come in but the bank issues on Tuesday really messed up my week. I ran home around 5:00 and saw my little buddy Daniel, Tristan, Jason, Erika and my Parent’s for a bit and then went back over to Heather’s for dinner. She is watching This is Us, trying to get caught up so I watched a few episodes with her. I think she only has five left! Today there is a crop at the Store so it will be a very fun Saturday! 😀

The card that I have for you is for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

I have a few new things from Sunny Studios and I haven’t really made an Easter card so I decided I need to make at least one! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Ballerina Pink. I used two pieces of paper from the Lawn Fawn Watercolor Wishes Petite Paper Pad, one yellow and one green. On the green one I stamped my greeting from the Sunny Studios A Good Egg Photopolymer Stamp Set in Memento Tuxedo Black and adhered the paper to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My images are from the same set and are all stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored in with Copics. The Coordinating Dies cut the out and some 3D Foam Squares hold all of them to the card. I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Pink Blush, Raspberry and Amethyst Sequins and the card is finished! I do love that set especially the cute little happy chick! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches Challenge! Thank you for coming by today! Have a super Saturday! 🙂

  1. Oh Justin! How dang cute! A little chicky painting Easter eggs. I love the soft colors of the background versus the bright colors on the eggs. What a fun Easter card. You kind of outdid yourself with this one for sure.

We got some snow last night but just enough to cover the driveway. I’m sure the sun will take care of that however, the meteorologists are saying that mid week we will have a nor’ easter come through bringing a foot or more of snow to our area. One last blast from old man winter. AND just after we “spring ahead” with out clocks tonight. Have fun at your crop today and thanks for sharing this great card. Have yourself a Super Saturday my friend. Love and hugs to you. XXOO 🙂

The weekend shouldn’t be for cleaning but that’s the way it goes. I need to spend more time doing that, unfortunately! Hope that you had some time to play! 🙂
