Freshly Made Sketches 280

What a lovely Thursday I had! I managed to get a bunch of stuff done at the Store which was great despite me leaving at 3:00. Jim got to my house around 4:30 and we headed out around 4:45. We made pretty good time into Manhattan and went straight to Nick’s for dinner. I haven’t been there in a long time, ever since Kim moved out of the neighborhood. Dinner was delicious and after we walked for a bit and then took the Subway down to Times Square and headed to the St. James Theatre to see Present Laughter with Kevin Kline. It was a really funny play and the acting was great! Back on the Subway and up to the garage to get the car. We were back at my house by 11:45! Not bad at all! It was a very nice way to spend a Thursday evening! πŸ˜€

Today’s card is for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

I started by stamping my images from the Lawn Fawn Bicycle Built for You Photopolymer Stamp Set in Jet Black and coloring them in with Copics. Β They are cut out with the Coordinating Dies. Next I used the Lawn Fawn Road Border Lawn Cuts to cut out a piece of Black and Solar White 80lb and adhered them together and then to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My greeting is from the Lawn Fawn Happy, Happy, Happy Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the happy in Sugarplum and cut it out with the Coordinating die and two more from 110lb Card Stock. They are adhered to each other and to the card with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. The rest of the greeting is stamped in Lobster. Some 3D Foam Squares adhere the bicycle, girl and groceries and the card is done! I love that bicycle on the road and the fun greeting! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! Thank you for coming by! Have a fantastic Friday! πŸ™‚

  1. Hey Justin. So glad you guys had a nice night in the big city!! Kevin Kline rocks! Today’s card also rocks! Adorable. Clean and simple. Perfect. And so French! LOL

    1. Hello Michael! Thank you! We did have a great night and yes, Kevin Kline was great! Glad that you like the card! LOL! Yes, a little French for sure! πŸ™‚

  2. What a sweet, colorful and happy card you have created for today. I love the road die and I absolutely have to try layering the words so they stand out like you did with happy. I can think of a lot of people I’d like to make this card for. It’s nice to let someone know they give you a smile and their friendship makes you happy as a surprise note in the mail. I’m sure it would make the day of anyone who received a card like this. Beautiful, colorful, happy card – thanks for sharing it with us.

So glad you enjoyed the show last night. I take it that it was a one man show? I love theater in Manhattan. For some reason you can take the same show and have it in New Haven, Hartford, Boston, etc. but it never seems as good as seeing it in Manhattan. I can’t explain why but that’s the way it is. It is pretty gloomy here today and we have a chance of flurries on and off so that tells you it isn’t warm either. According to the forecast it’s supposed to be dreary like this all next week. It would be nice to see the sunshine once in a while. You have yourself a Fantastic Friday my friend. Love and hugs to you, XXOO πŸ™‚

    1. Thank you Grace! Yes, the road die is great! I love the way that they make so all of their dies can be used with other ones! Just a little spray adhesive and you have an almost chip-board like embellishment! We all need to smile, it’s a great feeling!
The shoe was good and dinner was delicious! No, there were a bunch of people in the play! I agree, there is nothing like a play on Broadway! You have had way too much snow! We are to have a dreary week too, oh Spring, where are you? Hope your Friday was a good one! Love and hugs to you! XOXO πŸ™‚
