Kind Heartstrings Friend

It’s the weekend peeps! It’s supposed to be warm here but rainy all day today, better than cold and windy, right?! I had a nice busy day at the Store, got to see my friends Arnise and Marianne and I got to talk to Grace!! I was a little tired yesterday, late night Thursday’s will do that! I got home, had some dinner, cleaned a little and then parked myself on the couch for the rest of the evening. Sometimes a lazy Friday is just what you need! πŸ˜€

I needed a nice simple card, my brain wasn’t functioning at full capacity yesterday! This is what I came up with. My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and I placed it in my Mini MISTI and stamped the heart from the Concord & 9th Heart Smile Photopolymer Stamp Set in Lawn Fawn Merman Ink. I stamped it three times to get a nice saturated impression. Before I took it out of the MISTI I stamped the friend sentiment from the same set in more Merman Ink. The Concord & 9th Heartstrings Die is then used to cut out a piece of Ballerina Pink and that is adhered to the card over the stamped heart with 3D Foam Squares. I cut out the kind from another piece of Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the Concord & 9th Kind Card Add-On Die and adhered it to the heart with my Quickie Glue Pen. I love the way the kind seems to come out of the Heartstrings die cut! I hope that you like my quick card for today! Thanks for stopping by and have a super Saturday! πŸ™‚

  1. Hi Justin:

Since getting the Heartstrings die from you I have used it so very much more then I thought I would. I learned that it isn’t limited to Valentine’s cards by any means. I’ve used it for Get Well, Wedding and New Baby cards. It’s become one of my favorite dies. I think your card is fabulous today. Nice amount of white space so the main image really pops. I need to start buying some word dies. I don’t know why I haven’t done that yet after looking at all the great cards you do with them.

It was so nice to get to actually speak to you yesterday and catch up a bit instead of emailing. It did end up snowing all day yesterday here but it didn’t amount to much on the ground when all was said and done. Maybe an inch or so. Today will be cloudy and gloomy so I am going to continue my serious spring cleaning and tonight I’ll goof off and watch a video. You have yourself a Sensational Saturday my friend. Love and hugs to you, XXOO πŸ™‚

I love getting to talk to you on the phone! So much better than email! Enjoy what I hope is the last of your snow for a while! I hope that you got some of your cleaning done and was able to watch a movie! I had a wonderful Saturday! Love and hugs to you! XOXO πŸ™‚

  2. I love that die, and the card! CAS my favourite style. I see it’s out of stock. I wondered what it would cost to ship to me in Canada, but that could be a slippery slope for my Paypal account, LOL

    1. Thanks Lynne! It’s a great die! I should have some in the store later in the week! I don’t think it’s too expensive to ship to you! I have shipped to Canada before. LOL! πŸ™‚

  3. Thats is what you create when your brain is not functioning, OMG, this s gorgeous. I love this die so much.

Its cold and rainy here also, only 39, so much for the 50’s they promised. Oh well perfect day to get this darn scrapbook room cleaned out. Funny story, the simple desk that i wanted turned into a room makeover. OMG the desk was not enough storage and I wanted a few more items. Then I deceided I’m tired with the room, I want somethng bright since I mostly live in this room. Hubby said absolutely not! So, just looking, I found paint that I love, Son agred to paint. Problem, the carpet is 23 years old and does not match paint. Hubby is like, “Fine at this point do what every you want, Dangerous statement. fine lets just put floorig down. I cant just change one thing, lol. So I’m frantically trying to get this room emptied so we can start. I will love it when its done but right now . GRR……

    1. LOL! Yup, sometimes I guess it’s good to not think! Thank you so much Linda!
I’m so over the crap weather! I’ll bet that your room will be lovely when you are finished! I need to do something with my kitchen and bathroom and can’t bring myself to deal with the mess! My Brother is having his kitchen re-done and it’s taking forever! Too much disruption! πŸ™‚
