Paper Craft Crew 237

Another rainy day, well it actually poured in the morning and then just drizzled for the remainder. The weather was gloomy but I had a bright sunny time at the Store. We got a few visitors and Renee and I had a good laugh as we always do! I left around 4:30 to come home and meet Jim. He was already cooking when I arrived. We had a nice dinner, saw Taylor, went over and visited with my Parents and then worked on the crafty project. It’s coming along! I have some Concord & 9th arriving at the Store today! New goodies! Can’t wait to play! 😀

I have a little card to share with you today for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge…

Funnily enough I actually made this card three week’s ago, it helps to pay attention when checking the Design Team group to see what the next challenge is! LOL! To start my card I stamped the images from the Hero Arts Welcome Home Photopolymer Stamp Set in Memento Tuxedo Black and used my Copics to color them in. The greeting is cut out with the Hero Arts Infinity Circles Dies and the images with the Coordinating Hero Arts Welcome Home Frame Cuts. To my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I adhered a piece of Chinese Red that I flagged both ends on. My background is a piece of 48lb Vellum, I heat embossed the Hero Arts Wood Floor Bold Prints Background in Hero Arts Copper Embossing Powder.  The images and greeting are adhered to the Vellum with 3D Foam Squares and then I adhered the Vellum to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. Apparently I really do like that Welcome Home Set, I have gotten a ton of use out of it! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see what the rest of the Team has dome and let’s see yours in the gallery! Thank you so much for visiting with me today! Have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

  1. Aaaahhhh, warm hugs, is exactly what was needed yesterday. Love the fireplace and the vellum layer.
    Happy Hump Day.
    🙂

    1. Who doesn’t like a warm hug Nancy?! I love that set! Hope your week is going well! 🙂

  2. Hi Justin:

Love today’s card with cute little critters. They look pretty content in front of that beautiful fireplace. You did a fabulous job of coloring the pieces of this card and embossing on the vellum. Yesterday was one of those days when I really wished I had the fireplace from our last house here in this cabin. It was a pretty yucky day here also. Cold, damp and drizzly all day long.

Glad to hear you had a nice day at the store. It’s always fun to hear people who enjoy what they do for a living talk about their “jobs”. I love the job I have now – it’s called retirement and it was worth the wait for sure. LOL You have yourself a whimsical Wednesday my friend. Love and hugs to you! XXOO 🙂

    1. Hey Grace!
Thanks!! I like the set and love that fireplace! I so enjoy that fireplace, it’s a really good one! A fireplace in your house would be the icing on the cake! Over all of this rain!
I do have fun at the Store and my favorite part is talking to people! I am also looking forward to retirement! Hope you had a nice day! Love and hugs to you! XOXO 🙂

  3. Love the scene of this card, Justin. Yes, we needed a warm hug after the dreary day we had here as well. Loving the vellum, the warm fireplace and the red banner to tie everything together. Take care and have a great day!

    1. Thank you HJ! I wish I had a fireplace in my house! I would like to sit in front of it and read. Hope your week is going well! 🙂

  4. So cute! I love the fireplace. It is cold, gloomy and rainy here also. It is getting old, especially since winter was so mild.

Ok Im flippin mad. I took an afternoon off waiting for my desk and cabinets to be delivered. I even called today at 1030. And was told yes, everything is on the truck, delivery after 3pm. Well its flippin 830pm and nondelivery, no one picking up the phone. Happy hump day!

    1. Thanks Linda! I’m so over the rain and gloom! Soon we will all be experiencing nice weather and lots of sun!! Positive thinking!
OMG! I would be livid! Why can they never get furniture deliveries right?! You should be compensated!! Call and complain! 🙂
