Paper Players 337

Hello! Yesterday turned out to be a lovely day indeed! It got up into the mid-sixties with plenty of sun! I made sure that I stepped outside quite a few times while I was at the Store! I got in a bunch of new Concord & 9th, got it all checked in and played with some of it too! After work I had dinner with my Parents and came home and cleaned a little. My friend Sue came by and so did Heather and George. A bunch of friends on a Wednesday night, who could ask for anything more?! Today Renee leaves for her little scrapbooking adventure to PA with a bunch of the ladies so I’ll be manning the Store for a few days! 😀

One of the cards that I made yesterday is for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

A nice layered sketch! My card starts off with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Concord & 9th Heartstrings Die to cut out a piece of Illustrated Faith 12×12 Paper. It’s adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. Next up I heat embossed the XO from the Concord & 9th Love Notes Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder onto a strip of Vellum. My greeting is from the same set and is also heat embossed in Gold onto a strip of Black with both ends flagged. I hid the adhesive behind the black strip and adhered the vellum under it. The flower is from the Concord & 9th Fill-In Phrases Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Ballet Slippers and Bubblegum. I used my Scissors to cut it out and adhered it to the card with 3D Foam Squares. It needed a little Sparkle so I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Ballerina Pink, Pink Blush and Gold Sequins. I love that flower, so nice and simple! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge! Thank you for visiting with me! Have an interesting Thursday! 🙂

  1. Absolutely love this card, Justin, with its bright colors and the embossed vellum down the middle. So pretty. So you’ll be the man in charge for the next few days. I’m sure all will go smoothly. With the new goodies, you’ll have plenty to keep you busy. Yesterday was very nice here like your weather, but this morning it is very cold. Who’s getting the meds for Mother Nature??? Have a great day!

    1. Thank you so much HJ! It’s a little different and sort of a fish mosh but fun! I do like a little time alone, but it does get a bit lonely. I did have fun playing with all of my new goodies, definitely makes the day go fast! I think we should all get some for her, she needs them! 🙂

  2. Hi Justin,
Beautiful card!! So glad you got the Heartstrings die back in stock. 🙂

    1. Hello Gerri!
      Thank you!
So glad that you snapped up the dies! They went quick! 🙂

  3. Hi Justin:

The Heart Strings die is one of my favorites. It’s a lot more versatile then one would think when they first look at it. Your card for today is so sweet and colorful. I just love it.

Hey – did you get my email on the 27th that I sent you?

I would love a day in the 60’s. Mother Nature is fixed to give us a pretty sizesable snow storm this weekend. It
doesn’t bother me but the hubs claims he has had enough snow blowing for this year. The fact that it’s supposed to be wet heavy cement like snow hasn’t helped his attitude. Oh well – I’m sure he would slip HJ a few bucks if SHE got Mother Nature the meds. LOL You have yourself a Terrific Thursday my friend. Love and hugs to you. XXOO 🙂

    1. Hey Grace!
I love that die too! I have used it a lot and it does work for so much!
I did get the email, I have just been bad lately, forgive me!
I can’t believe that you are still getting snow!! Enough already! Hear that HJ! LOL! Love and hugs to you my friend! XOXO 🙂

  4. The fill in phrases set looks cool. I love the big bold sentiments. Awesome card as usual. Please send some sunshine here, we had another cold gloomy rainy day. And I mean heavy rain, we actually have flooding going on.

Enjoy your time being “sole” boss. You will love it

    1. Thanks Linda! I think that paper with the stencils is a great idea! Love it! I would love to share the Sunshine but I usually get my weather from you! We have too many gloomy days here, done!
LOL! I did have a nice few days, no complaints here! 🙂

  5. Love the modern patterns and touches of gold embossing Justin – they add a real touch of luxury. Thanks for joining us over at The Paper Players this week!
