SIP Challenge 89 – A Sketch!

Yup, still cold here! I did have a very fun day in Manhattan yesterday! Ella and I had a nice visit and took a little trip to the Apple Store to get her iPhone fixed. From there I headed down to The Ink Pad to see my friend Anna! We got caught up and I had some Dirty Bird for lunch, delicious. I took the 3:01 train back out to the Island and got to spend some time with my Brother, Erika, Daniel and Tristan. We had cake for my Dad’s birthday which was on the 1st. I stopped home quick and then went over to Heather’s so that we could take a drive to see our friends Patti and Tom and the kids. We had a nice time and quick ride home. Today I’m back at the Store with lots of things to catch up on! 😀

It’s time now for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

I do love a new release from Lawn Fawn and I haven’t really played with the Bicycle Built for You Set yet so that’s what I used on today’s card! The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I adhered a strip of Lawn Fawn Rudolph 12×12 Paper and a thin strip of Black Licorice down the left side. To create my little scene I cut out a piece of Mermaid with the Lawn Fawn Zig Zag Circles Stackables, I also used the Lawn Fawn Grassy Hillside Borders to cut out a piece of Noble Fir and the Lawn Fawn Road Border to cut out a piece of Black Licorice and Solar White 80lb. The Zig Zag Circles are used again to cut the edges off of them and they are lined them with the Mermaid Circle to adhere them all together. I used a some Fun Foam and E-Z Runner to adhere the circle to the card. My images and greeting are from the Lawn Fawn Bicycle Built for You Photopolymer Stamp Set and are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black. I colored them in with Copics and cut them out with the Coordinating Dies. They are adhered to the card with 3D Foam Squares. All that was left to do was to stamp the greeting in the lower right! I do like the set and all of the little pieces that you can change up! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! Head on over to the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards including this month’s Guest Designer Sue Plote! We hope that you will share your take on the sketch by adding it to the gallery! 1. Good morning, Justin. What a cute card. I love the scene with the bike, boy and dog. All the thought that went into creating it is amazing. I think we’re supposed to have a couple of warmer days before cold comes back over the weekend. Mother Nature likes to keep changing things. Have a wonderful day!

    1. Hello HJ! Thank you! I do enjoy Lawn Fawn, they have some really cute stuff! I want the warm days to stay! Mother Nature is a little crazy lately! Hope you had a great day! 🙂

  2. Well dang Justin – isn’t this just the cutest card EVAH? Put this one away for Daniel when he is 4 or 5. The puppy in the basket is so sweet and that little boy looks like he couldn’t be happier. I just love this one and all the colors, well you just have to smile when looking at it. You are one creative guy for sure. AND I did notice there isn’t any snow on the ground in this card. LOL

Glad you had a fun day in Manhattan. Actually it would be kind of hard not to have a fun day in the city right? Also, happy birthday to your Dad. I’m so glad you all get together to celebrate these special days. If you lived away from your family like I do you would really, really miss these celebrations. Have yourself a Terrific Tuesday my friend. Love and hugs to you – XXOO 🙂

    1. Thank you very much Grace! I have a bunch of Daniel cards, and I never used to make kids card, it’s all his fault! Nope, no snow, as it should be!
I do love a trip into the city! Love my Dad, he’s the best! I would miss my family if I lived far away, you are right about that. Hope you had a nice day! Love and hugs! XOXO 🙂
