SIP Challenge 90 – Shaker Card!

Ugh! SNOW! They keep changing the totals but we are to get between 5 to 18 inches! That’s way too much! I know that I keep on whining but I’m over Winter already! Hopefully this will be the last hurrah and we will be able to move on to warmer temps! It was another nice day at the Store! My friend Arnise stopped by and Angie was in too. I got some things accomplished and also brought my stuff home, the Store will be closed today. I’ll get to craft in the Stampin’ Galley! I had a quick dinner with my Parents when I got home, chatted with Heather for a bit and then Jim came by. We watched YouTube videos and just hung out. A nice relaxing evening with a friend, who could ask for anything more?!

It’s Tuesday and that means that it’s time for a new Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! This week we ask you to join us and make a shaker card…

I do love to make a shaker and it’s been a while since I have. I started out by cutting a piece of Solar White 80lb with the Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Ovals Stackables Lawn Cuts and using both sides to add some Fish Tank and Merman Ink to another piece of Solar White 80lb with my Mini Ink Blending Tool. All of my images are from the Sunny Studio Froggy Friends Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped them all in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored them in with Copics. They are then cut out with the Coordinating Dies. I adhered the Lilly pad to my background and stamped the ripples in Fish Tank. The cattails and flower are then added and the sentiment is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black. To make my frame I cut out a piece of Deep Blue with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangles Stackables Lawn Cuts and adhered a piece of Acetate to back with Scor-Tape. A single layer of 3M Foam Tape is added and then I sprinkled some Pretty Pink Posh Holiday Shimmer Mix Sequins onto the background and adhered the frame over it. The frog and the flies are adhered with more 3M Foam Tape onto the Acetate and then the whole thing is adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I love that super happy little frog and the flies, so cute! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Shaker Card Challenge! Make sure and stop by the BLOG to see what the rest of the talented Design Team has made to inspire you and let’s see your card in the gallery! Thank you for stopping by! 1. Totally so cute. First I like there is no white and that caught my eye immediately. Nice change. I love blue and the colors are very nice. Froggy is so cute too. He could say anything you want.
Keep warm and cozy. Glad we aren’t getting the 18!

    1. Thank you Nancy! I like to try and not use white all of the time! I love the background! Glad that the snow missed us! πŸ™‚

  2. So cute and vibrant colors to add to the “alive and kicking” feel…
I’m recuperating with flying colors and it won’t be long before I’m hobbling around my stamping rooms. Stay warm and dry! I hope the storm goes away quickly for you. Hugs, Nancy B

  3. That frog is the cutest, especially since you have him jumping up and down on the waterlily and yes, it has been a while since you made a shaker card to share with us. Love all the bright spring colors and flowers. All in all a fabulous card!

Thought it wasn’t supposed to start snowing here until after noon but it was snowing when I woke up this morning. It is just beautiful out there. One of the reasons I love being retired is I don’t have to go out in it, I can stay home and enjoy the beauty of it all. The birds are enjoying all the feeders being full of seed and the suet is being attacked. It’s all such fun to watch. Anyhow………..glad you will be home safe and have a chance to spend some time in your stamping galley. It will be a relaxing day for you I’m sure. Love and hugs to you my friend and wishes for a Totally Terrific Tuesday. Love and hugs, XXOO πŸ™‚

  4. Omg this really is toadally awesome!!!! Too cute, just love everything about it. As you know I love shakers, I’ve never made one that is a scene with just a frame around it.

Today was another day from HELL. I had only a half inch of snow, but I drive into Lake county and they got nailed. and of course the “wealthy folks” there dont want their taxes to be used for snow removal. 6 inches , the roads were horrid.

Spring is 6 days away, 50 by the weekend, that is my chant. and I know you are getting slammed so I cant complain. Be safe

    1. Thank you Linda! It is a really cute set! I love a full card shaker! The bits go all over! LOL!
I’m sorry that you have had so many crappy days! Soon it will be all behind us! Keep thinking Spring!! We lucked out, it was a non event! πŸ™‚
