SIP Challenge 92 – Color Inspiration!

What started out to be a rainy drizzly morning brightened up by the afternoon. Renee and I kept busy at the Store, she had her Monthly Memories class and I worked on some projects. After work I went straight over to see Heather. We ran a few errands and then had dinner. After that we watched a little TV. Today I have so many more projects to work on at the Store and then Jim is coming over this evening to make dinner. We will work on more of the crafty project too! Should be a very good day! πŸ˜€

It’s Tuesday and that means that it’s time for a new Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

I wanted to make a nice simple card, these colors are some of my favorites! I started out by stamping the blossom from the Concord & 9th Brushed Blossom Photopolymer Stamp Set in Wet Cement, Passion Fruit, Grape Soda, Charcoal and Soft Pool using my Mini MISTI. The greeting is stamped in Charcoal and the dots in Wet Cement. I adhered the panel to a piece of Soft Sky and then to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The delicate die cut is cut from Kraft using the Concord & 9th Blossom Die and it’s adhered to the card with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Amethyst and Sparkling Clear Sequins give the card a little sparkle! I do love that flower, so deconstructed. I also like that the Die doesn’t match up perfectly! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Color Inspiration Challenge! Make sure and stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Design Team’s cards! We hope to see yours in the gallery! Thanks for dropping by today! Have a terrific Tuesday! πŸ™‚

  1. Hi Justin:

When I first looked at today’s card I thought you had stamped and heat embossed what turned out to be the Blossom die from Concord & 9th. The dimension it gave today’s card was just enough and I think the offset die look is starting to grow on me. Of course the sequins were the perfect finishing touch to the card. Just lovely.

Sounds like you have a busy day today and that’s good. The weather here is yucky so I am going to buckle down today and do a bunch of stuff that I have been putting off while I was on my nutty cleaning spree. During that demented time (LOL), I found a photo album that is filled with the metal stencils from a few years ago that were all the rage to use with paste from Dreamweaver. I’m leaving them out so that they will actually get used. Obviously I need a bigger crafting space so I can see things and actually use them. You have yourself a fun filled Tuesday my friend. Love and hugs to you, XXOO πŸ™‚

    1. Hello Grace!
I love that stamp and die set, I think mostly because it doesn’t match perfectly! Thank you!
I do like when my day is a fun busy one! I remember the metal stencils! That was a while ago! Yup, if you leave them out you will actually use them! Hope you had a good day! Love and hugs to you! XOXO πŸ™‚

  2. I love these colors too and you made a beautiful card! Simple but with impact. This one is another winner! Have a bright Tuesday. It’s rainy and dreary here. Nancy B

    1. Thanks so much Nancy! I like a nice simple card lately! We have had enough rain if you ask me! Come on Spring! πŸ™‚

  3. I agree with Grace and Nancy that this is a beautiful card, Justin. I love the colors and the Blossom die really sets it off. It is rainy and dreary here today, but just right for some cardmaking. Rain or shine it’s good for crafting, right? Have a good one!

    1. Thanks HJ! I do love that die! I’m over the rain and the clouds! It’s always good for crafting no matter the weather! πŸ™‚

  4. i was thinking ho much I loe these colors, then I scrolled down to your card. WOW! Gorgeous. I especially like the gold diecut which frames everything.

I woke up to birds chirpping today, Just to clarify I am not a morning person, I hate getting up in the morning, but the birds mean Spring. W aere still cold and gloomy so I needed some type of a sign.

    1. They are some of my favorite colors too! Thank you Linda!! I love that die!
LOL! I think that I remember that you are not a morning person, I used to be, not so much anymore. I do like the birds chirping but I never hear them, I sleep like the dead! Hopefully the weather will get nice soon! I’m over it! πŸ™‚

  5. *Love* the color combo, Justin! Beautiful card design and beautiful color stamping!!!
