Bamboo Birthday

Hello all and a happy Saturday to you! It was a little chilly here yesterday and somewhat dreary. We had a busy day at the Store, got to meet some new customers and I got to help a very nice lady with some thank you cards. I had to stop at the Post Office on the way home to drop off an order and I had a little dinner with my Parents when I got home. The rest of the evening was spent just relaxing and watching some TV. Today there is a crop at the Store, I will get to see the ladies! ๐Ÿ˜€

I have a card that was inspired by a oneย that Yana made the other day to share with you. I started by stamping the flowers from the Altenew Bamboo Rose Photopolymer Stamp Set in Memento Tuxedo Black onto some Solar White 80lb and then colored them in with my Prismacolor Pencils. I don’t have the dies for them so I used my trusty Scissors to cut them out. My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I stamped the greeting from the Altenew Painted Greetings Photopolymer Stamp Set in Memento Tuxedo Black onto a piece of Kraft Card Stock and some of the berries from the Bamboo Rose set, colored them in with pencils and then tied a piece of May Arts Twine around the top. The panel is then adhered to the card base with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. All that was left to do was to adhere the flowers with 3D Foam Squares. I have always loved the way Kraft looks on a card, I think that it makes the flowers really pop! I hope that you like today’s card! I thank you for your visit today and wish you a stupendous Saturday! ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. Oh Justin:

Again with the fabulous use of your scissors. Honestly there is no way to tell if you used a die or not anymore! Also, I need to comment on how perfect the bow looks. You always seem to be able to to tie a bow that looks absolutely beautiful. I have invested in three different bow makers and still can’t get a bow to come out to perfectly!!!! Fabulous card and I hope you Saturday is Special. Love and hugs to you, XXOO ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Thank you Grace! I do really enjoy a little fussy cutting! Although if there is a die for the image I’m all for it! LOL! It has taken me years to get to tie a nice bow and sometimes it takes longer to tie the bow than to make the card! LOL! I hope that you are enjoying your week! Love and hugs! XOXO ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. Beautiful card, Justin. I love the flowers scattered around the card instead of in one bouquet. That’s a nice change from what we usually see. I agree with Grace that your fussy cutting is always perfect. Have a great day, my friend.
