Beep Boop Birthday!

Today’s lesson was that Justin does not do well on 4 hours of sleep! To make my morning even more fun, I discovered that Citibank has once again screwed up my checking account, can’t wait to go there on Monday. Then, when I arrived at the Bethpage train station at 6 AM, I discovered that last night someone had used their car to remove the crossing gates. That made the train late. I did manage to get to The Ink Pad by 7:15 where I waited outside with the rest of the peeps for Jane to come. We gave everybody their goodie bags and boarded the bus. It was a quick, pleasant ride down to Allentown with our nice driver, Michelle. I found the Stamp Show to be a little bit smaller than last year’s but there was still some great stuff to be seen and nice demos being done. I also ran into Virginia, her daughter and granddaughter, Nancy, Renee and Angie, and a bunch of other people. We left around 5 o’clock and I was home by 8:15. Andrew came by to hang out for a bit. Always great to see him, and a nice way to end my Saturday! This morning I’m off to Manhattan again to see my friends Jon and Mary. πŸ˜€

Sometimes when I do reorders for Lawn Fawn, I take time to go through the sets that I don’t have, and I snuck one into the last order that I did. I thought it would be good for making simple cards, so that’s what I used it for. I stamped the images from the Lawn Fawn Beep Boop Birthday Photopolymer Stamp Set in Jet Black ink and colored them in with my Copics. I used the coordinating Lawn Cuts to cut them out and placed them on a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Next I stamped the cogs in Hippo ink and then adhered the images to the card with 3D Foam Squares. Like I said, a nice simple card, and I love that little robot! I hope that you enjoyed today’s card. As always, thank you so much for coming by. Have a simply wonderful Sunday! πŸ™‚

  1. Well, he’s adorable! And robots are pretty hot right now. I hope today goes well for you–maybe you can crush a power nap later. Stupid banks! Mondays are never fun anyway–and now bank bloopers! I’ma say a little prayer for you. Hang in there!

    1. Thank you Ann! I can’t believe that I didn’t have this set! I did get a nap on the bus on the way home! I am done with citibank! Thanks for the prayers!! Moving on now! πŸ™‚

  2. very cute CAS card, have fun today, share some city pics with us please! maybe change banks, or threaten to…would make me very mad!

    1. Thanks Lynne! It was a super quick trip in but I’ll remember to take some next time! I’m done with citibank, twice in less than a month is too many! πŸ™‚

  3. Love this cute little card. That robot is a smile maker for sure and the cogs are the perfect background pieces. It seems like I often read about contests for kids to build robots of their own. Some of the stuff they come up with is simply amazing.

So, you had an exciting day yesterday! Consider yourself lucky. You could have been here where it snowed all day. The heavy wet white stuff that is great for making snowmen but too icy to have a snowball with. I know that would have been your preference. When I first moved here we had stamp shows for 2 years in a row and then suddenly nothing. I guess the people that organized it didn’t want to do it anymore. I would love to go to one and see all the new ideas the companies are coming up with. You have yourself a Sensational Sunday in the City. Love and hugs to you my friend…….XXOO πŸ™‚

    1. Thanks Grace! Nice and quick and simple card! Love the kits that they have for kids, can’t wait for Daniel to get a little older so I can buy him one!
I did have a nice day! I’m glad that I’m not there in the Winter wonderland! You know how I feel about snow! The show is always fun! I get to see people that I don’t usually get to see and that’s the best part! Love and hugs to you too! XOXO πŸ™‚

  4. What a fun, cute card, Justin. I love that little robot and the gears. I’m loving stamp sets with matching dies to make everything so easy….read “lazy”. Hope you have a wonderful day in the City.

    1. Thank you HJ! Sometimes you really do need the dies, although I always get them if they are available. The city was fun as it always is! πŸ™‚

  5. Justin,
I was at Allentown the same time your were. I had to leave my house at 7:30 so I didn’t see your blog yesterday. I would have looked for you. The show was smaller than previous years and the lines to pay in the booths were really long. But I do love seeing all the new stuff. Sorry I missed you.
    You’re card is super-cute today.

    1. Gerri!
Oh no! I’m so bummed that I missed you! It was definitely smaller, hopefully it won’t disappear! I’m so sorry that I missed you, next time!
Glad that you like the card! πŸ™‚

  6. OMG! I thought Office Deport was a nightmare. At least I can cancel them. Hard to cancel a bank until you get the mess straightened up,good Luck!

I agree, I’m not a morning person and I can not live on 4 hours of sleep. OK, scrapbook room offically emptied out. My house is a disaster. Color of paint picked out……and son got called into work. LOL Eventually it will get done

    1. Life is filled with little nightmares Linda, the bank is probably the worst one!
Thanks! Love the robots! I have to use that set again soon, so much fun! I love that mirror card, I got some more too!
I used to be able to live on 4 hours, not so much anymore, I was dragging by 1:00! You are being thwarted at every turn with you room! Sending positive thoughts your way!! πŸ™‚
