Freshly Made Sketches 285

Happy weekend! I had a nice day in Manhattan yesterday! I spend some time with my friend Mary in he morning and then went to meet Kim for lunch. She’s working in our old building at 345 Park Avenue. We stopped at Chop’t and got lunch and went to eat in this little park with a waterfall…

It was a beautiful day as you can see from the picture! I got back out on the Island around 3:00 and came home for a bit. Jim came over around 7:00 and we went for a nice long walk on the Bethpage Bike Trail before heading to the diner for dinner. A little TV when we got back to my house before saying good night. Today I’ll be at the Store and there is a Crop, fun! πŸ˜€

My card that I have to share with you today is for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

I went with a nice simple card. The background is a piece of Kraft that I stamped with the Concord & 9th Tree Ring Background Photopolymer Stamp in Hero Arts Unicorn White Pigment Ink. I added some Hero Arts White Satin Pearl Embossing Powder and heat set it. The background is then adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My butterfly is cut from Black withΒ the Concord & 9th Floral & Flutter Dies. The greeting is cut from more Black three times using the Concord & 9th Beautiful You Dies. They are adhered to each other and to the card with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. A little scattering of Pewter Pretty Pink Posh Sequins and the card is done! I love that butterfly and the subtle Tree Ring on the Kraft! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches Challenge! Thanks for stopping by today! Have a super Saturday! πŸ™‚

  1. I love CAS cards and this one is no exception. I’m getting more and more into the Concord & 9th line. I think their stamps and dies are a cut above other companies. You did a great job with this layout Justin and I just love the way you do triple cut outs and get them aligned so perfectly with just a bit of spray adhesive. Fabulous.

Thanks for the photo from the City. I forget about all the little park-lets and the beauty of individual buildings. So glad you had a nice day. Grabbing a sandwich from on of the fabulous delis and eating it in Battery Park while watching the Liberty boat is one of my favorite things to do on a nice day. You have yourself a Superb Saturday my friend. Love and hugs to you. XXOO πŸ™‚
