Paper Players 340

It couldn’t decided whether it was going to be sunny or rain yesterday but it did finally make up it’s mind around 5:30 when it started to drizzle. Another relatively quiet day at the Store. I did make a card, it’s my daily therapy! After work some dinner with my Parent’s, tacos, and then a night on the couch with the TV. Sometimes when I have a lot on my mind I find the TV distracts me, does that work for you too? Card Class today… fun!

I have my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge to share with you today, they have a fun one this week but before we get to it I want to thank Deanne for choosing my card from last week for her Cut Above! You can see my original post HERE and the winners post HERE! Now for this week…

I haven’t made any sort of 3D card in a long time so I decided I needed to do something about that! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I googled and found some instructions on how to make a step card, got out my Scoring Board and got to work. The Lawn Fawn Road Border Lawn Cut is cut from Battleship Gray and adhered to the front left and back right. My images come from three sets from Lawn Fawn, the Bicycle Built for You, Happy, Happy, Happy and Fab Flowers. I stamped the images from Bicycle Built for You in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored them in with Copics. They are are cut out with the Coordinating Lawn Cuts and adhered to the back step with Tombo Dot Runner Adhesive. My happy and Mother’s Day are from the Happy, Happy, Happy Set and are stamped in Lobster, the happy is cut out with the Coordinating Lawn Cut and adhered to the middle step and the Mother’s Day is stamped on the front step. I stamped two butterflies from the Fab Flowers Set in Ballet Slippers, Bubblegum and Memento Tuxedo Black, cut them out with the Coordinating Lawn Cuts and adhered them to the left panel with 3M Foam Tape. I wanted to keep the card on the simple side as to no take away from the step aspect! LOL! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge! I thank you for visiting and wish you a happy Thursday! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 240

Another nice day here on Long Island. We are getting ready to have like seven days of rain in a row, that should be fun! The Store was quite yesterday, Renee was off , it was her boyfriend John’s birthday. I finished getting my tax stuff together and thanks to Melissa they were filed on time! I met Jim at my house after work and we ran to Michaels to get a few supplies to continue working on our crafty project, He made dinner and we watched a little TV before calling it a night. I’ll get ready for card class today, like to have everything done well ahead of time! 😀

It’s Wednesday and time for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge…

I went with some bright colors for this one! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Lemon Lime. I used the Lawn Fawn Zig Zag Rectangles Stackables Lawn Cuts to cut out a piece of Cosmic Grape and Lollipop 12×12 Paper. The patterned paper is cut and adhered to the the front bottom and back, on a slight angle. A piece of Pink Baker’s Twine is tied in a bow to hide the seam. The panel is then adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My images and greeting are from the Lawn Fawn Sewn with Love Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the images and the second half to the greeting in Memento Tuxedo Black. The images are colored in with Copics and the Sew is stamped in Bubblegum. I used the Coordinating Lawn Cuts to cut them out and adhered them to a piece of Ballerina Pink that I cut out with the Zig Zag Circles Stackables Lawn Cuts. The circle is adhered to the card with 3D Foam Squares. After I finished the card I decided that the purple was a little too plain so I stamped some more images from the set in Sugarplum, then it was done! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thanks for stopping by today! Have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 95 – A Sketch!

Another Monday behind us! It was overcast but warm here yesterday, I’ll take that! The Store was busy, it was Home Decor day and everyone came in to paint their wood pieces. I worked on some cards for upcoming classes and got some more of my tax stuff together which is also what I did last night! Nothing like waiting until the last minute! I had dinner when I got home and was going to do a little cleaning but the taxes had to come first. I also had to run over to my friend Sue’s house for a bit to pick up some things and stopped at Target on the way back to get Winston some food. I like Tuesday’s because this evening I get to work on the crafty project with my friend! 😀

Today it’s time for a new challenge from Stamp, Ink, Paper

I started my card by using the Concord & 9th Floral Fill-In Patterned Paper and the Coordinating Stencils to add Merman Ink to the paper with a Mini Ink Blending Tool. I then used the second stencil to add Versa-Mark and heat embossed it with Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. The panel is then adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. I stamped the flower from the Concord & 9th Fill-In Phrases Photopolymer Stamp Set in Merman heat embossed the second layer in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder to match the paper. It’s cut out with my Scissors and adhered to the card with 3D Foam Squares. The greeting is from the Concord & 9th Happy Day Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black onto a strip of Solar White 80lb. Some more 3D Foam Squares adhered it to the card right under the stamped flower and the card is done! I do love that Fill-In Paper, such a very clever idea!! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Sketch Challenge! We have some great inspiration from the rest of the Team over on the BLOG and we can’t wait to see your card in the gallery! Thank you for coming by today! Have a terrific Tuesday! 🙂

Mojo Monday 493

I hope that you all had a happy Easter! I had a nice day with my family, got to play with Daniel and Tristan and spend some time with Taylor too! The weather was lovely except for a little shower. The rest of the evening was spent relaxing, watching a little TV. Back to the Store today to get some more projects finished! 😀

The start of a new week always means a new Mojo Monday sketch…

My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I ran a strip of American Crafts Plum Glitter Tape down the left side. Next I stamped some images from the Concord & 9th Flourish Photopolymer Stamp Set in Black Licorice, Ballet Slippers, Lobster, Fresh Lavender, Grape Soda, Sugarplum and Freshly Cut Grass. To continue on with my love of fussy cutting I used my Scissors to cut out the images. My panel is a piece of Solar White 80lb backed with a piece of Purple Hearts. I stamped the greeting from the Concord & 9th By Your Side Photopolymer Stamp Set In Sugarplum and adhered it to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My images are adhered with 3D Foam Squares. TGIF Challenges 103

Happy Easter everyone! It’s funny because what I remember about Easter is that we brought Taylor home from the hospital when she was born on Easter Sunday and it snowed! Another fun filled day at the Store. I was very productive and managed to get three cards made! After work some dinner with the Parent’s and the I spent the rest of the evening watching TV and working on fixing a friends computer. I really hate Windows PC’s, I think I have mentioned that before! LOL! Today I’ll be going to my Parent’s for Easter. My Brother and Erika will be coming over with the kiddies and Taylor will be there too! Should be a fun day!

One of the cards that I made yesterday actually sort of worked for this week’s TGIF Challenges sketch…

I started off by stamping the flowers and leaves from the Concord & 9th Brushed Blossom Photopolymer Stamp Set in Moonstone, Fish Tank, Freshly Cut Grass and Black Licorice Ink onto a piece of Solar White 80lb. To my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I added a strip of American Crafts Black Glitter Tape to each side and then adhered the panel with my stamped images to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. The wonderful is from the Concord & 8th Wonderful Words Dies and is cut three times from Black. I adhered them to each other and to the card with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. The rest of the greeting is from the Concord & 9th Kindhearted Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Black Licorice onto a strip of Solar White 80lb. I adhered that to the card with 3D Foam Squares. I was going to add a few sequins but liked it just the way it is! I hope that you like my card for the TGIF Challenge! Thank you for spending some of your Eater with me! Have a fun day with your peeps! 🙂

Freshly Made Sketches 283

And we are at the weekend once again! We closed the Store a little early today, 3:00PM for Good Friday. When I came home Erika, Jason, Daniel and Tristan were at my Parent’s. I played with the kids for a while and had Pizzaz for dinner with them too. Around 7:00 I came home and watched the last three episodes of Th1rteen R3asons Why on Netflix. I highly recommend the series, the cast is excellent and it’s a very powerful show. Get your tissues out, it’s not a happy show but something that everyone should watch. I’ll be working on more projects at the Store today and we are closed for Easter Sunday! 😀

I love the nice simple sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches and I have my card to share with you today…

I started by creating my background using Merman, Fresh Lavender and Freshly Cut Grass and applying them to a piece of Solar White 80lb with my Mini Ink Blending Tool. I cut the Lawn Fawn Road Border Lawn Cut from a piece of Black and also a Post-It to use as a mask while I applied my ink. The Road is adhered to the card and then the background is adhered to a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I stamped the greeting from the Lawn Fawn Bicycle Built for You Photopolymer Stamp Set in Memento Tuxedo Black bending it slightly to follow the curve of the road. My car is from the Lawn Fawn Home for the Holidays Photopolymer Stamp Set, I stamped it in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored it in with Copics. The Coordinating Lawn Cut is used to cut it out. Some clouds are cut out of Solar White 80lb and a piece of Silver Glitter Paper using the Lawn Fawn Simple Puffy Clouds and Simple Puffy Cloud Frames Lawn Cuts. The frames are adhered to the clouds with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. To adhere the car and clouds I used 3D Foam Squares. I do love an ink blended background, especially the purple to blue part! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! Thanks for coming by today! Have a super Saturday! 🙂

Fab Friday 110

For some reason it felt like Friday yesterday, don’t know why! It was a little cooler today, no top down down on the way to the Store but I put the heat on and the top down on the way home! We had a quiet day at, a few people stopped by to crop and chat. After work I stopped by my Parent’s and the kiddies and my Brother were there. Jim came by around 6:30 and met Daniel, Tristan and my Brother. Daniel showed him the truck video that he was watching on YouTube and Tristan just smiled like she always does! We brought Winston home and went to Friendly’s for dinner and then came back to my house and watched Split. Quite the disturbing movie! Today apparently is Friday! LOL! More projects to be finished! 😀

It’s also a Fab Friday and this time we have some colors…

I substituted some colors and so can you! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I stamped the flower cluster from the Concord & 9th You’re My Person Photopolymer Stamp Set in Black Licorice onto my card base. I love the set because there are fill-in stamps for all of the flowers and leaves. I stamped them in Grape Soda, Merman, Peachy Keen and Jalapeño. The lucky is cut from 48lb Vellum and Deep Blue using the Concord & 9th Lucky Die. I adhered the Deep Blue to the Vellum with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive and then adhered it to the card with Kool-Tak Clear Foam Tape. The rest of my greeting is from the stamp set and is again stamped in Black Licorice and adhered with more Clear Foam Tape. Love that flower image and the greeting! I hope that you like my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Color Challenge! check out the rest of the Team’s card and enter yours in the gallery by stopping by the BLOG! Thanks for coming by today! OSAT March Blog Hop – Flower Power!

Happy Thursday! We had another warm but not quite as sunny as Tuesday day yesterday! I’ll take it! I did get to ride to the Store and home with the top down in the car so it’s all good! Renee had her Kiwi Lane class in the morning and I worked on some projects. Dinner with the ‘rents when I got home and then some Heather time to finish off the evening! Today I’ll be concentrating on more projects and hopefully enjoying another nice day! 😀

For my projects today I’m participating in a blog hop with a bunch of my friends from one of the Facebook groups that I belong to. It’s called One Stamp at a Time Cards and More. If you have arrived here from the talented Marisa Gunn’s blog, welcome! This month we have a Flower Power theme! Nothing says flower power to me like the big bold Pretty Petals Set from Concord & 9th! I made a card and a coordinating gift tag to share with you today!

The card begins with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock, I covered the front in a piece of Shale. The flowers from the Concord & 9th Pretty Petals Photopolymer Stamp Set are stamped in Minty Fresh and Grape Soda onto a piece of Solar White 80lb. The greeting, also from the same set is stamped in more Grape Soda and the panel is adhered to the card. My flower centers are cut out with one of the dies from the Concord & 9th Pretty Petals Dies from more Shale and adhered to the card with 3D Foam Squares. The tag is created the same way with the flower cut out with another die from the Pretty Petals Dies. I punched a hole in the top and threaded some May Arts Natural Twine through. If you are a regular to my blog you can tell that I’m obsessed with the flower. I have used it a lot and love it!

I hope that you enjoyed my card and gift tag  for the OSAT Flower Power Blog Hop! You can click on the next button below to go back to the start and see what good friend Andrea Tracy-Tucker has come up with!! Thank you so much for stopping by to see me today. Have a thoroughly awesome Thursday! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 239

Hello my peeps! It was a super day here yesterday! I had the top down in the car on the way to the Store and on the way home! It just makes the day so much more bearable! Speaking of the Store, I did get my paperwork sorted out and worked on some projects. After work I came home and met Jim. He brought stuff to make for dinner, chicken, stuffing, mixed veg, it was quite tasty. He’s good too, he always shares with Winston! We worked on our crafty project and then watched a little TV. Today I have a ton of stuff to get finished up, but I do so love what I do! 😀

Let’s see, Wednesday so time for this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge…

I have been really into simple cards lately and believe it or not this one was pretty simple to make! I started with a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and ran it though my Big Shot with the Concord & 9th Say Hello Die and cut out the negative from the front panel. To the back of the front panel I adhered some Acetate. The thin hello is cut from Gold Glitter Card Stock along with a few hearts using one of the dies from the Concord & 9th Lucky Dies. I adhered the thin hello to the negative space hello with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive and the solid and outline hearts with Multi-Matte Medium. All that was left to do was to adhere a piece of Solar White 80lb to the inside so that when you write on the card you can’t see it! I do love the simple gold and white and the see through hello! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! As always, I appreciate you taking the time to stop by and see what I’ve been up to! Have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 94 – Tic-Tac-Toe from LeAnne!

The weather men were right for a change, it turned out to be a very nice sunny day here! I think Spring may have finally come! We had a busy day at the Store with Renee, Angie and I all working on projects. I had a little dinner with the folks when I got home and then had a nice relaxing evening. I did start watching 13 Reason Why on Netflix, it’s a pretty good show and I think that it should be required for all teenagers to see. Maybe we would all be a little nicer to each other. It’s sad but sometimes we need to see that the way we treat other people can have lasting repercussions. Today will be spent organizing paperwork, I need to get my tax stuff together! 😀

It’s time now for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge and we have a fun Tic-Tac-Toe Board from LeAnne…

To start my card I stamped the shirt, pants and flowers from the April My Monthly Hero Kit in Memento Tuxedo Black, colored them in with my Copics and used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out. I also stamped the head and feet onto a Post-it note and cut them out with my Scissors. The Hero Arts Paper Layering Eiffel Tower Die is cut from Kraft. I placed the images and Eiffel Tower onto a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock to decided where I needed to stamp the head and feet for the girl. Once they were stamped I removed all of the pieces and added the masks over the stamped images on the card. Using my Mini Ink Blending Tool I added Hero Arts Soft Pool and Green Hills Ink, a piece of Post-it Tape helps give me the nice crisp line between the colors. Next I removed the masks and adhered the pants, shirt and flowers too the card. The Eiffel Tower was adhered after I added the lace to the top of the card with Multi-Matte Medium. All that was left to do was to add the greeting, also from the April My Monthly Hero Kit and also stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black. I do really like the images in the kit, they sort of remind me of vintage Barbie! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge from LeAnne! We hope to see your creation in the gallery so stop by the BLOG for some more inspiration from the rest of the Team! Thank you for visiting with me today! Have an amazing Tuesday! 🙂
