Paper Craft Crew 241

And it rained all day yesterday just like they said it would. If they were right about that then today will be more of the same. I had a busy day at the Store which is not a bad way to spend said rainy day! Jim came over when I got home and we worked on some more of the crafty project, got some Greek food for dinner and then just relaxed and watched TV. Today I’m flying solo at the Store, Renee is off to take care of some baby shower duties! πŸ˜€

It’s Wednesday and that means time for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge…

Are you sick of the stamped backgrounds yet?! I’m still loving them! My card base for today is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I stamped the images from the Hero Arts Everything Smiles Stamp & Cut Photopolymer Stamp Set in Memento Tuxedo Black randomly onto a piece of Solar White 80lb and colored them in with my copics. The panel is then trimmed to 3″ x 3″ and adhered to a piece of Tropical Sea and that is adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. I die cut the speech bubble from the same set from a piece of Wild Honey and adhered that to the card with more Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. The HI is cut from Black using the Hero Arts Alphabet Uppercase Dies. The rest of the greeting is from the Hero Arts Many Everyday Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black onto a strip of Chinese Red. That is adhered over the speech bubble with E-Z Runner and 3D Foam Squares. I decided that the background needed a little something more so I added some dots with my Signo Gold Gel Pen and just a few Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins finish the card! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG to check out the rest of the Team’s cards and let’s see your take on the sketch in the gallery! Thanks so much for your visit today! Have a wonderful Wednesday! πŸ™‚

  1. Emojis as stamps! How cute is that?! And such happy ones at that…Great colors on your card, too. The cupcakes look good enough to lick. We have had bright, sunny weather here in the 80’s, but the rain will return for about 4 days on and off. Yuck! That’s Cincinnati! Strange weather. Enjoy your day at the shop! Hugs, Nancy B

    1. Thanks Nancy! I have been wanting to use the set for a while! LOL! The cupcakes do look tasty! Yes, we have had odd weather here too. Soon it will be Summer and all will be good! Hope you have a nice day! Hugs to you! πŸ™‚

  2. So dang cute Justin. AND no, I never get tired of stamped backgrounds. Saves a bit of $$$ compared to buying all the DSP’s. In addition it just seems a lot easier then spending forever going through the DSP to choose the perfect one for a specific card. Additionally you know there is absolutely no chance that the recipient is going to receive a card with a similar background. In fact, I just got rid of a 9″ pile of DSP 12 X 12 paper and yes, that is a lot of paper. Evidently when I bought it I had something specific in mind but never got around to making whatever it was. LOL

Rainy and dreary yet again here but my daffodils are starting to bloom and that’s enough to make me smile while I wait for some sunshine! Hey, you take what you can get right? You have yourself a Wicked Fun Wednesday my friend. Love & Hugs to you. XXOO πŸ™‚

    1. Thanks Grace! I really have been loving them lately and it does save some money on paper and lets you make them any color that you want to! The fact that they are one of a kind is pretty neat too! LOL! If you only know how much paper I have!
I’m glad that you flowers are blooming and they wouldn’t without the rain. I hope that you are having a nice day! Love and hugs! XOXO πŸ™‚

    1. Thanks Linda! It’s fun to just stamp a nice background! Rainy and gloomy here today. Yes, the flowers are coming up! πŸ™‚
