Paper Players 338

After another dreary start to the day the sun finally came out in the afternoon and it turned out to be quite pleasant! Our friend Evelyn stopped by the Store and I helped her make a wedding card using some dies and a few stamps. When I got home I picked up Winston from my Parent’s and then my friend Danielle came by. We went to Smashburger for dinner and then did a little shopping before coming back to my house to hang out and chat. Today I have my Wedding Card and Gift Box Class and then tonight is Thirsty Thursday! πŸ˜€

I have a nice quick quirky Easter card to share with you for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

To create my background I used my Mini Ink Blending Tool to add Soft Pool and Cup O Joe Ink to a panel of Solar White 80lb using a piece of Post-it tape so I got a nice crisp line between the colors. Next up I die cut the fence using one of the dies from the March My Monthly Hero Kit from another piece of Solar White 80lb and adhered that to the background. My rabbit and lettuce are also from the March My Monthly Hero Kit and are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored in with Copics. I used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out. The background is adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and the images with 3D Foam Squares. I didn’tΒ have a happy Easter greeting from Hero so I used the Lawn Fawn Eggstra Special Easter Photopolymer Stamp Set and stamped it in Memento Tuxedo Black. Like I said a nice quick card, everyone always uses carrots so I decided to go with lettuce instead! LOL! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge! I appreciate you stopping by and wish you a fun Thursday! πŸ™‚

  1. Hi JustiN:

That is just the cutest Easter card. I love that the bunny is making his own garden as we used to get tired of them eating our plantings as they ripened. LOL You did a fabulous job with the background. Just enough of the soft pool. I’ve seen lots of cards where the background is very overdone and it takes away from the images. Great job my friend.

Drab and rainy here today and it’s supposed to stay that way right through the weekend. Toni and her hubby are driving up tonight and I’ll be pacing until they get here which will be late. Driving on the turnpike in heavy rain is scary to me. You have yourself some fun tonight at Thirsty Thursday. Relax and renew your unbounding energy! Love & hugs to you, XXOO πŸ™‚

Thank you! I was going to use the carrot and then I thought, nope he needs some lettuce! LOL! I love doing an ink blended background, a nice change from just plain paper!
We had the same weather here yesterday too. It’s sunny this morning but is supposed to rain later on. I hope that Toni and hubby got there safely! I’m sure that you will be very happy to have them there!! I had a nice evening! Love and hugs to you! XOXO πŸ™‚

Well i’m happy to report the weather man was wrong! I’m not sure if the front shifted or the heavy winds moved it quicker but no snow. I actualy drove to work in dry weather and now the sun is breaking though in some spots. Oh….we need the sunshine. I do feel sory for my neighbors in IN and MI but so glad its not me. TFIF its Friday tomorrow, its been a long work week

I’m glad that your weather was nice! I know I’m over the rain and we have some sun here but it’s going to rain again later. I’m looking forward to Sunday, that’s my weekend! πŸ™‚
