Paper Players 340

It couldn’t decided whether it was going to be sunny or rain yesterday but it did finally make up it’s mind around 5:30 when it started to drizzle. Another relatively quiet day at the Store. I did make a card, it’s my daily therapy! After work some dinner with my Parent’s, tacos, and then a night on the couch with the TV. Sometimes when I have a lot on my mind I find the TV distracts me, does that work for you too? Card Class today… fun!

I have my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge to share with you today, they have a fun oneΒ this week but before we get to it I want to thank Deanne for choosing my card from last week for her Cut Above! You can see my original post HERE and the winners post HERE! Now for this week…

I haven’t made any sort of 3D card in a long time so I decided I needed to do something about that! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I googled and found some instructions on how to make a step card, got out my Scoring Board and got to work. The Lawn Fawn Road Border Lawn Cut is cut from Battleship Gray and adhered to the front left and back right. My images come from three sets from Lawn Fawn, the Bicycle Built for You, Happy, Happy, Happy and Fab Flowers. I stamped the images from Bicycle Built for You in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored them in with Copics. They are are cut out with the Coordinating Lawn Cuts and adhered to the back step with Tombo Dot Runner Adhesive. My happy and Mother’s Day are from the Happy, Happy, Happy Set and are stamped in Lobster, the happy is cut out with the Coordinating Lawn Cut and adhered to the middle step and the Mother’s Day is stamped on the front step. I stamped two butterflies from the Fab Flowers Set in Ballet Slippers, Bubblegum and Memento Tuxedo Black, cut them out with the Coordinating Lawn Cuts and adhered them to the left panel with 3M Foam Tape. I wanted to keep the card on the simple side as to no take away from the step aspect! LOL! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge! I thank you for visiting and wish you a happy Thursday! πŸ™‚

  1. Wow! That’s not a card — that’s a work of art! Awesome! I am sure your Mum will love, if that’s who is receiving it. Have a terrific Thirsty Thursday! Nancy B

    1. Thanks so much Nancy! I’m sure that Mum will like it! Hope you are having a great day! πŸ™‚

  2. Holy buckets of fun! I just adore your card…I will have to learn how to make this side step card layout. So fun!

    1. LOL! Thank you so much Lynn! It was pretty east, just a cut and some scoring! πŸ™‚

  3. Is that Winston in the basket? LOL What a fabulous, colorful, fun and imaginative card you made for today. I absolutely love the step cards and the way you put the road on was really neat. I would never have thought of that. If this is for your Mum, she is going to love it! The butterflies on the left are the perfect finish to the card. If I were getting that card I would treasure it forever, that’s for sure.

Same weather here yesterday as you had. I went grocery shopping (which I hate to do) and got that out of the way. I’d rather be spending my money on craft supplies. When I have too much on my mind working on cards or quilts takes my mind off the overwhelming stuff because I need to concentrate on the fun stuff. I just can’t seem to get into TV unless it’s Big Bang Theory, Blue Bloods or that flip show where contestants buy junk and turn it into treasures to sell at a flea market. Even with those I miss them half the time because I don’t have the TV on. Go to Thirsty Thursday tonight and have fun with your friends. Love and hugs to you my friend, XXOO πŸ™‚

    1. I should have colored the dog gray and then it would have been Grace! Thank you! I haven’t made a step card in years and it was fun to do!
I’m not a fan of grocery shopping either. I’m with you, we just need to be a little wealthier! I like the Flea Market Flip show too. I never used to watch TV but I find that it helps shut my brain off. I’m going to do something tonight, not quite sure what just yet. Love and hugs to you! XOXO πŸ™‚

  4. Is that you, (jut a few years ago) riding your bike? This is so perfect. I love it!!!I have never made a step card, I really like how the bike is on the open end.
