Paper Players 341

I managed to have a nice productive day at the Store, it’s nice to have a day to myself but I do miss Renee. I spoke to her last night and she got all of her stuff done for the baby shower that she needed to! My Parent’s came by the Store with Daniel for a bit, that was a nice surprise! I also got to see him when I got home. I had some left over Greek food for dinner and then spoke to Andrew for a bit. Some TV and that was the day for me. Today I have some peeps coming in to make the step card and then I’m off to a friends for dinner tonight! πŸ˜€

I have my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge to share with you today…

I had gotten one of the add-ons from the April My Monthly Hero Kit release and hadn’t inked it up yet so I decided to use it on today’s card! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I adhered a strip of dark peach down the center. On my panel I stamped the image and greeting from the Hero Arts Dress Up Stamp & Cut Photopolymer Stamp Set in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored the girl in with Copics. The dress is a piece of Echo Park Summer Party Blazing Floral 12×12 Paper that I cut with the dress die in the set. I folded it and adhered it to the card with E-Z Runner. The panel is then adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Rose Gold Sequins complete the card! It’s a nice fun set and the pleated dress is pretty cool! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge! Thanks you for visiting with me today! Have a fun Thursday! πŸ™‚

  1. What a fun stamp set that is. I wonder how it would look with a piece of fabric cut with the die. Anyway, the folded paper skirt is such a fun addition. I also note all the different facial expressions that come with the set. Like playing with paper dolls. You did a fantastic job with this one Justin (no surprise there with all your artistic talent). AND, as always, thanks for sharing your creations with us every day. You always start my day with a smile!

Another drab and dreary day here in the north country. However, the promise of a sunny and 75 degree day on Sunday does give us something to look forward to. I’m making some progress on redoing my craft room and getting rid of lots of stuff. I think one of my goals is going to be to limit stamps I buy to photopolymer. They take up so much less room then other types of stamps and now that I have the Misti I can get rid of the 5 or 6 different types of stamp positioners I own. Yeah! I’m also going to limit new purchases to photopolymer sets that have matching dies mostly because with arthritic hands it’s a lot easier then scissors. You have yourself a Totally Wonderful Thursday my friend and enjoy your dinner out tonight. Love & Hugs to you. XXOO πŸ™‚

    1. It is a fun set Grace! I’ll bet it would look really nice done with some fabric! Thank you! I’m glad that I still get to start your day with a smile after all of this time!
We have had some drab and dreary and a few sunny days so I’m ok with that! I think that Photopolymer Stamps are definitely the way to go, they take up so much less room for sure! I remember the old stamp positioner! I thankfully only had one. I hope that you enjoyed your week! Love and hugs! XOXO πŸ™‚

  2. OMG, Love this. I did not get the skirt die, now I’m kicking myself.

It is back to almost winter here. Low 40’s now with possible light frost tonight. Only in Chicago do you have 80 one day and frost the next.

    1. Thanks Linda! I’m glad that I got it, I wasn’t sure at first but I do like it!
Sorry that you are having crap weather again, but please don’t send it my way! Although we have some of the same here! πŸ™‚

  3. Love the folded skirt!! What a great idea. Your card is very pretty and anyone receiving it would be thrilled. As Grace pointed out, that stamp set has so much versatility with the expressions, etc. Great coloring job. I’m still catching up.

    1. Thanks HJ! It’s a fun die, I did have to think how to use it! LOL! πŸ™‚
