Freshly Made Sketches 288

I was under the impression that it was not going to be as warm yesterday as it was on Thursday but it was! I went and took Heather to drop her car off in the morning and then came back home and had some Breakfast. After that it was off to get a haircut and then I met a friend for coffee. Around lunchtime I called Stephanie to see what she was up to, she had errands to run so I took a ride with her. We got McDonald’s and stopped by Heather’s for a bit. I had dinner with my Parents and then Taylor came by for a while. Today I’m going to get crafty a fun way to spend part of Saturday! 😀

I have my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge to share with you…

Nice and simple! I started by using the Concord & 9th Triangle Turnabout Photopolymer Stamp with some Altenew Morning Frost, Evening Gray, Caribbean Sky and Mango Smoothie Crisp Ink and my MISTI. I cut the panel to match the sketch and adhered it to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My lightbulb is from the Concord & 9th Shine Brighter Photopolymer Stamp Set. I heat embossed the base in Hero Arts Liquid Platinum Embossing Powder onto a piece of Galvanized Curious Metallic. The bulb is heat embossed in Hero Arts White onto some Heat Resistant Acetate along with the greeting in Hero Arts Gold. I used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out and adhered it to the card with a 3D Foam Square. A few Little Things by Lucy Brushed Gold Sequins and Rhinestones complete the card. I love that lightbulb heat embossed on the acetate, so cool! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! Thank you for visiting with me today! Have a super Saturday! 🙂

  3. This is so cool! And you pretty much answered my question of whether acetate can be heat-embossed! I had no idea there was a heat resistant version! Thanks for playing along with us at Freshly Made Sketches!
