Mojo Monday 495

I had a quiet Sunday. I had a little work to do for a friend on the computer, cleaned a bit and watched far too much TV. It was sort of overcast most of the day and a little chilly too. I had thought about going into Manhattan but then decided that I didn’t feel like taking the train or driving in so that took care of that. I guess it was a relaxing day, although I did find it a bit boring. Today back to the Store and I will fill the day with some craftiness, that always makes the day better! πŸ˜€

It’s Monday people and time for a new Mojo Monday sketch…

This card came out of nowhere! My base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and the background is a piece of Kraft. I used the Hero Arts Skylines Fancy Dies to cut out a piece of Gold Glitter Card Stock for the buildings and some Gold Mirror Card for the Bridge. The buildings are adhered to the card with a strip of Battleship Gray underneath. I adhered the bridge to a piece of Chinese Red, trimmed of the excess and adhered the square to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. Next I die cut the happy from the Hero Arts Happy Stamp & Cut Photopolymer Stamp Set from a piece of Solar White 110lb, heat embossed the birthday in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto a strip of Black and adhered the happy to the top and then the black to the card. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins and the card is done! I will admit that I wasn’t really sure as I was putting the card together but I really do like the finished product, especially the colors! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! There are more cards to see over on the BLOG so stop by and take a look and let’s see your take on the sketch too! Thank you for starting your week off with me! Have a marvelous Monday! πŸ™‚

  1. Love this card Justin! Of course glitter paper and foil paper combined with these fabulous dies really makes for a WOW card. You did a great job with this challenge for sure.

I can’t believe you had a day you could have gone into the City and didn’t! You must be getting the flu or something. It does sound like you got to relax for a bit and that is so, so important. Rainy and yukky here today and it’s supposed to be like this most of the week ahead. I would like a bit of sunshine but you have to work with what your given. LOL You have yourself a Memorable Monday my friend. Love and hugs to you. XXOO πŸ™‚

    1. Thank you Grace! I do love a little sparkle just as much as you do!
I know, it’s very unlike me to not go into the city, but I waited too long and then just lost the urge. I have been trying to relax, it’s not easy! LOL! πŸ™‚

  2. Awesome card – love it! The skyline is the perfect element to ground everything.

  3. love this! ThoseSkyline diesae so cool. Relaxing is good…

I swear it will never stop raining here! And cold, down to upper 30’s tonight. Weather folks say we are in an”indescrminate” pattern of rain till the end of the week. I love their terminology. Just say, “non stop rain, mostly heavycausing flooding, heavy winds and darn cold., LOL Oh well…. cant do much about it

    1. Thank you Linda! Yup, I do love those dies!
We don’t usually get Spring, winter straight to summer so I guess we shouldn’t complain! The weathermen do try to sugarcoat it don’t they?!

  4. What a neat birthday card, Justin. I love the skyline and all the different elements you used to make the perfect card. Great take on the sketch. Enjoy your week.
