Oyster & Pearl – Hero Arts

Well, it rained all day yesterday just as they promised so I had myself a crafty day! I also got a few movies in too. It’s Mother’s Day today so Happy Mother’s Day to all of you Mom’s out there! I hope that you will be spending the day with your loved ones! I’ll be seeing my Mum and maybe the kiddies too!

I had this card in my head for a while and it finally came together yesterday! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I spattered the front in Heidi Swapp Gold, Bronzer, Navy and Teal Color Shine and set it aside to dry. My oyster is from the Hero Arts May My Monthly Hero Kit, I stamped it in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored it in with Copics. The greeting is heat embossed in Hero Arts Platinum Embossing Powder onto a piece of 48lb Vellum. I cut the oyster out with the Coordinating Frame Cut and the greeting with the Hero Arts Infinity Circles Dies. The oyster is adhered to the Vellum and to the card with 3M Foam Tape. To give it a little more sparkle I added some Sequins from the Little Things by Lucy Nautical, Platinum and Brushed Gold Mixes and a little Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen to the pearl. A nice simple card with a really neat greeting! I hope that you like today’s card! I thank you very much for spending some of your day with me! Have a fantastic Sunday! 🙂

    1. Wow! The card you created is so cute. I would gladly receive such a wonderful card. Thanks for the mothers day wishes. Have yourself a nice sunday with your mom.

  1. OMG what a unique take on this stamp set. I love this. Simple yet elegant.

It is gorgeous here, finally late spring! Just waiting for my daughter to come over and then out for brunch. I know it will be crowded but I do not cook breakfast on the weekends. My sons are all home too so it will be a great day.

My goal: Get my inks organized today. Slow going but eventualy this room will get back together

    1. Thank you Linda!
I’m happy that you finally had some nice weather! We had some here too! Any day spent with your family is a good day!
I hope that you did get your inks done! I need to swatch out the rest of mine. It’s always a slow process! 🙂
