Freshly Made Sketches 294

The weather was pleasant again here yesterday and so was the ride into the city on the train! I had a very nice visit with Jon and Mary, Jon had a little bit of a cold so he was nice enough to keep his distance! Before I got on the train to come home I did a little shopping. I have a wedding to go to tonight and needed something to wear! My friend Jen is getting married. I used to change her diapers when she was a baby! Boy I’m old! LOL! Should be a fun way to spend a Thursday evening! 😀

The card that I have to share with you today is the one that I made for the wedding! It’s also for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

To start the card I stamped some images from the Simon Says Stamp Handwritten Floral Greetings Photopolymer Stamp Set. The flower is stamped onto a piece of Solar White 80lb and the leaves onto some Desert Storm, both in Black. I cut the flower out with my Scissors and adhered it to the Desert Storm panel with 3M Foam Tape. My greeting is from the Simon Says Stamp Hello Beautiful Photopolymer Stamp Set and is also stamped in Black. My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and to that I added a panel of Black 110lb and a strip of Black Glitter Tape. The Desert Storm panel is adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins to give it some shine and the card is done! I really like the flower and leaves in the stamp set and I did try and coordinate the card a little with the invitation! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! Thank you for coming by today! Have a fun Thursday! 🙂

  1. Hi Justin:
Jen is going to love this card! You cut the flower out with your scissors? No way! It’s too perfect. LOL I could never get that absolutely even cut around every petal. Glad you had a nice day yesterday, we did too until the sky opened up all of a sudden while the hubs was on the farthest part of the property mowing. To say the least he got a bit soaked and looked like a wet rabbit! LOL You have yourself a Terrific Thursday my friend and dance your feet off at the wedding. Love & Hugs to you, XXOO 🙂
