Huge Thanks

Hey there! Happy Saturday to you! We had a rainy drizzly day here yesterday. I spent most of it in the house watching TV, it was just one of those kinds of days. I did go over and have dinner with my Parents and later on in the evening Taylor came by and we watched Dr. Strange. Today I’m off to Manhattan again this time to see my friend Kim! Should be a good day! 😀

My card that I have to share with you today uses the June My Monthly Hero Kit! I used my MISTI to repeatedly stamp some of the elephants in Wet Cement onto a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock along with a larger one onto a piece of Solar White 80lb. The single elephant is cut out with the Coordinating Die. I stamped the grass along the bottom to even out the card. The sunset die is used to cut out a piece of Orange Vellum and I heat embossed my greeting in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder in the upper left. The large elephant is adhered to the Vellum with 3M Foam Tape and then the vellum to the card with Vellum Adhesive. I love the outlines of all of the elephants, especially the big one in front of the sunset! I hope that you enjoyed today’s card! Thank you for visiting! Have a super Saturday! 🙂

  1. What a cute card, Justin. I love the different stamps of elephants and that sunset die makes a gorgeous scene in the orange vellum. Wow! Your stamping always amazes me. Have a great day in the City today. Please pass along to Grace that I would love to have her daughter come to Delaware and organize my craft room!! LOL!!! Have a great day!

    1. HJ – If there is letter boxing done in your area and you gave them a place to sleep for a few nights, I think they would be there in a jiffy. They are amazing. My oldest daughter spent one day and got the entire room done including things like putting magnetic paper into stamp set boxes to hold the matching dies. I am thrilled to be this organized and have the mess I was in all cleaned up. LOL

    2. Thanks HJ! It’s a fun kit! I always fun in the city! LOL! I’m sure that Grace saw that! Hope you enjoyed your day! 🙂

  2. oh my! how lovely! your color combo is on point. these elephants are calling–or trumpeting–my name! thanks for sharing!

  3. Hi Justin:

That sunset die is amazing and doing it in orange just reminds me of all the scenes I’ve seen about elephant herds in Africa. Using the vellum was really fabulous. You are one talented guy for sure.

Hey, we all need a “do nothing” day once in a while to refresh our body and spirit. You should enjoy them when you are able to get one. How great that you are going into Manhattan again today. I hope your weather will be better then ours today and I know you will have a great day with Kim no matter what the weather is like. Have yourself a sensational Saturday. Love and hugs to you my friend! XXOO 🙂

    1. Hello Grace!
I really did enjoy this month’s kit! Thank you!
I have had a lot of do nothing days, too many. I have been in a funk and can’t really get out of it. The rain didn’t spoil any of my fun. Love and hugs to you! XOXO 🙂

  4. Grace, thanks for your comments. I’m not aware of letter boxing around here. It sounds fabulous to have your room organized in one day. I have used a professional organizer in the past, but now I need a craft room specialist! I’m sure you will love crafting days in your newly organized room. I have put a magnetic sheet for dies in the box with the stamps and it helps to know which dies go with which stamp set. So easy to find. Enjoy your weekend.

  5. Justin,
Awesome card!!! Love all the elephants and the vellum sunset is just perfect.
Enjoy your day in the city.

  6. I am a firm believer in “Do Nothing Days'” We all need these occasionally for our mental health..

So loving this card, still patently waiting for my kit…..

    1. Yes Linda, I like a do nothing day, but too many is not good! I can’t believe that you never got your kit!
