SIP Challenge 102 – Masculine!

It was a pretty gloomy day here, rained a lot and was overcast for the rest of the day. I stayed inside and crafted and watched TV. Not the most exciting day ever but a productive one none the less. Today I think more rain is on the way but I will need to get out and do something other than be in the house! We’ll see what I can come up with! 😀

It is time for a new Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

Just because it’s a masculine card doesn’t mean that it can’t have a little color on it! To my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I added a piece of Pacific Point to cover the front. My background is created with the Concord & 9th Triangle Turnabout Photopolymer Stamp, my MISTI and some Black Licorice and Hippo Ink. It’s stamped only twice, and I skipped a turn with I did the stamping. I trimmed it to 4″ x 5 1/4″ and added it to the card. On the strip across the middle I stamped the world map and greeting from the Concord & 9th Map Love Photopolymer Stamp Set in Jalapeño and Fish Tank Ink and that’s it! I love that Map Love Set, it’s no longer available but maybe if enough of you like it they will bring it back! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Masculine Theme Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out what the rest of the Designers have done and let’s see your card in the gallery! Thanks for stopping by today! Have a terrific Tuesday! 🙂

  1. Nice card, Justin. I love the Turnabout stamp and how you used two colors to give it an industrial look. The world in green and greeting in blue adds a bit of pop that looks great. The days pass quickly and I’m sure you’ll find some interesting things to do today. Take care, my friend.

    1. Thank you HJ! I love the Turnabout Stamps, so innovative! The days do go by so fast! Hope all is well by you! 🙂

  2. Masculine cards are not easy for me. I don’t care for coloring as in the fantastic job the two ladies from the SIP group did with the old trucks. My hubs would just LOVE getting a card like that. This card is not only masculine it’s got color and you did one heck of a great job with it. I need to get inside that creative brain of yours. You enjoy your no pressure, nothing planned day today. Sometimes those kind of days turn out to be the best ever. Love and hugs to you my friend! XXOO 🙂

    1. I think a lot of people have difficulty with Masculine cards, there are just too many flowers out there! LOL! I like coloring but lately I have just wanted to stamp! The creative part might me ok, but you wouldn’t want to be in the rest of it! I do like a nothing day every so often! Love and hugs to you! XOXO 🙂

  3. What a simple to do card with great meaning! I like the turnabout stamp. It leaves good white space and makes the green and blue stand out. Bright, sunny day here in the 70’s. Nice! Enjoy your day! Nancy B

    1. Thank you Nancy! Love that you can decide how much white space you want with the Turnabout Stamps! Hope you are having a great day! 🙂

  4. What a unique idea, combining those two stamps. Love this card.

Still sunny and 70’s here with no humidity. Although
my garden would not mind a few sprinkles, just a few. Not the 7 day stretch of rain and gloom that we had

    1. Thanks so much Linda!
It’s either feast or famine lately with the rain, although I prefer none! 🙂
