SIP Challenge 105 – Summer Fun!

I had a lovely first half of the day in Manhattan yesterday with Isabella! I missed her! We got all caught up and I got to see her new office too! So nice! I took the 3:07 train home and Taylor picked me up at the train station and we spent the rest of the day together. We ran a few errands and had some sushi for dinner. Today I need to get crafty and make some cards for the week! I also need to get all caught up on my blog comments! I’m way behind!! πŸ˜€

Its Tuesday and time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge…

My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and I used my Mini Ink Blending Tool to add some Lake Shores Ink to give it some subtle color. Next up is a piece of Solar White 80lb that I added Sunkist to and then cut out with the Hero Arts Infinity Circles Dies. That is adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My boat and greeting are from the Simon Says Stamp Sail Away Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped both with my Mini MISTI and then cut out the sailboat with the Coordinating Dies and adhered it to the card with 3M Foam Tape. The greeting is adhered to a piece of 65lb Vellum that I used the Simon Says Stamp Border Waves to cut the top of. A piece 3M Foam Tape is hidden behind it to adhere it to the card. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Sea Breeze and Sparkling Clear Sequins complete the card! I love using my inks to make card stock the exact color that I want, so much fun! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! Don’t forget to check out the rest of the Team’s cards over on the BLOG! We hope to see your card in the gallery! Thank you for visiting! Have a terrific Tuesday! πŸ™‚

  1. Justin,
Beautiful card!! Love the sailboat…. and of course, you can’t lose with vellum & sequins.

    1. Hi Gerri!
Thank you! I like that little sailboat too! You know how I feel about vellum! πŸ™‚

  2. Hi Justin:

I love that you use vellum. I have a bunch of it but never think to get it out of the file cabinet. You can’t get much more summery then a sailboat and sailing is a huge thing around here. The Sunkist ink you used is perfect – it can either be interpreted as a super hot sun or the blazing colors we so often see on a summer sunset sun. Go ahead, say that five times in a row. LOL

So jealous that you got to spend such a fantastic summer day in the City. It was wonderful to be able to have all the windows open all day here. I would love to have a week straight of yesterday’s weather. Today it’s supposed to rain yet again. I need to get some birthday cards made so perhaps that’s what I’ll do this afternoon. Just a note for other stampers. If you get rheumatoid arthritis like I have been diagnosed with, you can still make cards if you use a Misti. Thanks to whoever invented it. If not for the Misti I, and others like me, might not be able to continue with a craft we love. Love and hugs to you my friend! XXOO πŸ™‚

I do enjoy summer in the city! We have finally gotten out of the rain sun pattern! Yes, the MISTI is a fantastic tool for so many different reasons! Love and hugs to you! XOXO πŸ™‚
