Butterfly Hello

Yay for the weekend! Yesterday was nice, I did a few things around the house. My Brother and Erika stopped by my Parent’s with the kids and we all had dinner together. After that Taylor and I ran a few errands and I spoke to my friend Greg for a while. Today I have a lot of things to get done, I will be spending a lot of time in front of the computer and then maybe squeeze in a little crafting! šŸ˜€

While I was thinking of cards to make yesterday I was looking around the Stampin’ Galley and it’s amazing how much stuff I have accumulated and not used! I’m sure that you know what I mean! LOL! So in an effort to use up some of the excess that I have I used some paper and embellishments to make my card! The base is Ivory 110lb Card Stock. I adhered two pieces of paper from the My Mind’s Eye My Story 6×6 Paper Pad to my card base, the second one with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. Next up is one of the My Mind’s Eye Die Cut Journaling Cards and that is adhered with 3M Foam Tape. The little gold butterfly in the upper left is one of the My Mind’s Eye Chipboard Buttons. I tied a piece of American Crafts Black Twine into a bow before adhering it to the card. My greeting is cut from a piece of American Crafts Gold Glitter Card and two pieces of Black 110lb with the Simon Says Stamp Painted Hello Die. I adhered them to each other with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive and to the card with Multi-Matte Medium. One last thing to finish the card, a few Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins! A pretty simple card to put together and how neat to get to use some of those goodies that have been just sitting there?! I hope that you like today’s card and are inspired to use some of your collections! Thank you for stopping by and have a super Saturday! šŸ™‚

  1. Hi Justin:
I love the way you stack the sentiments to create a shadow effect. Of course your use of the glitter card stock and gold sequins are what bring the beauty of this card out and make it shine!
Nice to see that you are getting to spend time with the family as well as friends. You haven’t shared photos of Daniel and his beautiful baby sister in quit a while. Are you becoming an absent Uncle? Can’t let that happen! LOL You have yourself a Sensational Saturday. We will be finishing up the housework we started yesterday and then watching the Daytona race tonight. Enjoy your day. Love and hugs to you my friend! XXOO šŸ™‚
