Paper Players 352 & Freshly Made Sketches 296

Well, I did get some of the stuff done that I wanted to finish yesterday. I also had to take a ride over to Heather’s job to drop something off to her. When I got back home I went next door to do some laundry and locked myself out of the house! Don’t know how that happened! Around 5:30 I headed over to Heather’s, she made me dinner and we ran some errands. A good way to end the evening! This morning more stuff that needs to get done will get done! 😀

I have a double challenge card for you today! That almost never happens but I wanted to get my Paper Players card in before it was too late and I had an idea for the Freshly Made Sketches challenge so I combined them! Here are the two challenges…

My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I stamped the My Favorite Things Romantic Script Background in Smoke Ink onto another piece of Solar White 110lb and adhered it to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. The bird is from the Hero Arts Color Layering Bird and Branch Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped him in Thistle, Hot Mama and Grape Juice, his feet in Khaki, and then used the Coordinating Frame Cuts to cut him out. His feet are adhered with E-Z Runner and the body with 3D Foam Squares. My greeting is from the Hero Arts Many Everyday Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto a piece of Black 110lb. It’s adhered in the lower right corner and the card is done! I love that scripty background and the fun bird! I hope that you enjoyed my card for the Paper Players and Freshly Made Sketches Challenges! Thank you for coming by! Have a fantastic Friday! 🙂

  1. I love this one too Justin. The scripty background is really fun and by framing it with the dimensional bird in the center it looks almost like a diorama rather then a card. Very cool indeed.
It sounds like you are getting very focused on being productive and that’s a good thing. The best part is you are doing this while remaining creative. Sometimes I think we get so focused on what we should/need to be doing that we push our creativeness aside to avoid feeling guilty. There, do I sound like a psychologist or what? LOL You have yourself a Fabulous Friday my friend. Love & Hugs to you. XXOO 🙂

    1. Thank you Grace! I have had that card in my head for a while! I need to get more focused! It’s so easy to get distracted! LOL! Sounds very psychological!! I try to be creative whenever I can be, keeps me sane! Love and hugs to you! XOXO 🙂

  2. Love this, Justin! That script background is perfect for your pretty little bird! It’s been fun seeing what everyone creates with these colors, and your bird is one of the sweetest! Thanks for playing with my colors this week!
