Grateful Pinecone Wreath

Good morning my peeps! Hope everyone had an amazing day yesterday along with me! My apartment is finally the way I wanted when I set out on this mission, beautiful and spacious! LOL! Who knew a little purging could make such a big difference?! I spent a little time outside yesterday too, having some coffee and reading the news in the beautiful weather! No more rain here today! I went out and got some shelves to finish up a few last minute organization projects, and I think they’re going to work perfectly! I just have to find a little more time to stain them! I also want to let you guys know that this weekend I will be out of town. I’m taking a little last minute trip up to Pennsylvania to spend some time with Jim at his cabin and enjoy the lake! There will be no post on Saturday or Sunday, but I will return to my regular posting on Monday! 😀

Lets jump into the card! For my base I used my trusty Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. To create the background, I stamped the Hero Arts Designer Woodgrain Background Stamp onto a piece of Desert Storm and attached it with the E-Z Runner to the card base. I then ink blended the die cuts from the Hero Arts September 2016 My Monthly Hero Kit and clustered them together. They are attached the with a little Multi-Matte Medium and some 3D Foam Squares to give the smaller pieces a little dimension on the wreath that is die cut from some Chocolate Chip twice. Then, I took my Just Rust ink and stamped my “grateful” from the September My Monthly Hero Kit right onto the background paper. I hope you all enjoy my attempt to embrace the forthcoming cooler weather with this fall themed card! I hope that you enjoyed today’s card! I’ll be back tomorrow with a post for Concord & 9th! Enjoy your Thursday! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 258

It was overcast here all morning and then the rain started around 2:00. I went over to Heather’s and we ran some errands, had a little lunch and then did an early Thirsty Thursday last night with Stephanie. Not bad for a rainy Tuesday! I’ll get back to my cleaning and purging this morning. I can’t seem to stop which is a good thing! 😀

For our mid-week fun I have my Paper Craft Crew card…

Maybe it was the gloom and chill yesterday but I felt compelled to make a winter card. LOL! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. For my background I used a piece of paper from the Trim Craft Silent Night 6×6 Paper Pad with a piece of Soft Sky across the bottom and then a flagged piece of Smoky Slate along the center. The images and greeting are from the Hero Arts Kelly’s S’Mitten Stamp & Cut and they are stamped in Soft Granite and cut out with the Coordinating Dies. I adhered the panel to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner and the Snow Day and Mittens with 3D Foam Squares with a little Silver Thread behind. Five Pretty Pink Posh Silver Sequins finish the card. I’m not looking forward to the colder weather but I do love me some winter colors! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! SIP Challenge 114 – A Sketch!

Yes, the cleaning and purging continues! It feels so good to get rid of things that I haven’t touched in years! I have become somewhat of a minimalist where before I was a collector of many things. I guess I owe that in part to my friend Jim, so much easier to maintain the house when you don’t have to move so much to clean! LOL! In the evening I ran a few errands with Heather and then made my card for today. More cleaning and purging is on tap for this morning! 😀

It’s Tuesday and that means it time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

The sketch is actually mine so I had the idea in my head for the card when I created it! I used the Concord & 9th Flower Turnabout Photopolymer Stamp with my MISTI and Ballet Slippers and Minty Fresh Ink to create my background. The panel is adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My images are from the Concord & 9th Let’s Chat Photopolymer Stamp Set and they are stamped in Hippo and cut out with my Scissors. The latte heart is stamped in Doe. I adhered them to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. For the greeting I choose one of my favorites from the Concord & 9th You’re My Person Photopolymer Stamp Set and stamped that in Doe and adhered it to the card with 3D Foam Squares. It looks like the coffee is sitting on a pretty tablecloth doesn’t it?! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Sketch Challenge! Check out the rest of the Team’s cards over on the BLOG and share your take on the sketch with us in the gallery! Thank you so much for coming by! Have a terrific Tuesday! 🙂

Paper Players 359

It’s the last Monday in August?! Where did that month go?! I’m not looking forward to the Summer ending and Fall beginning at all! We’ll have to make the best of what’s left! I managed to get a lot more purging accomplished yesterday. I have come to the realization that I’m really good at playing Tetris in real life! LOL! I have stuff crammed in a ll sorts of places! Three more bags of trash and another bag of shredding are gone. I’ll continue this morning and then do a little cleaning later on. Another productive day is ahead peeps! 😀

I did pause to make a card yesterday and it’s for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

I stared my card by creating a stamped background on a piece of Solar White 80lb with the stamps from the Concord & 9th Sprinkles Turnabout Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the cupcake outlines in Black Licorice and then filled them in with Fresh Lavender and Ballet Slippers with a little Plastic Flamingo for the sprinkles. An extra one is stamped separately and cut out with the Concord & 9th Sprinkles Tag Dies. I used the largest circle from the Simon Says Stamp Nested Circles Dies to trim the stamped panel and adhered it to piece of Guava with some random sprinkles stamped in Plastic Flamingo. That is then adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My greeting is stamped in Black Licorice onto a circle of Solar White 80lb and adhered to the card with 3D Foam Squares along with the single cupcake. A few Pretty Pink Posh Orchid and Sparkling Clear Sequins complete the card. A fun little twist on a birthday card, don’t you think?! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players Sketch Challenge! Thank you for starting your week off here on the blog with me! Have a highly productive and fun Monday! 🙂

Dropping You A Lime

A little bit of a late start this lovely Sunday morning! I have grown to enjoy a lazy day on Sunday’s. Yesterday I had a great time with Kim in Manhattan! I met her at our friend’s Jason & Bev’s apartment, she is dog sitting for them. We had a little coffee on the deck and then went out for breakfast. From there we wandered around for a while. No particular place to go just wandering. After our outing we went back to the apartment and had a drink before heading to a Cuban restaurant for dinner and that was delicious! Nothing like an authentic place and there are so many in the city! I got the 8:12 train back out the Island and then just relaxed before calling it a night! I did take a few pictures once I got Penn Station of the Empire State Building. It was only white lights but it still looks cool!

I think that I will try and get a little more cleaning done today, have to have a somewhat productive day! 😀

I have a fun simple stamped background card to share with you today! I used the Concord & 9th Orange You Sweet Photopolymer Stamp Set with Black Licorice and Freshly Curt Grass Ink to create my background on a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. For the greeting I heat embossed it on a strip of Black 110lb Card Stock and adhered it randomly onto the card with Black 3D Foam Squares. That’s it… done! Quick, simple and fun! I hope that you like today’s card! I thank you for visiting and wish you a simply amazing Sunday! 🙂

Cherry on Top

The weekend kinda snuck up on me! LOL! I did have a nice day yesterday, got some more purging done. I know you are thinking boy he must have a lot of crap and yes, you would be correct! LOL! I also ran to BJ’s with Heather and Steph in the afternoon and had a little dinner with my Parents. Today I’m off to Manhattan to visit my friend Kim. I haven’t been to the city in forever! It will be good to be back in! 😀

I had so much fun paying with the Concord & 9th Here’s the Scoop Set yesterday that I made another card using it today! I stamped the sundae onto a piece pf Solar White 80lb Card Stock and used my Copics to color it in. The Coordinating Die cut it out. I wanted to put some Clear Heat Embossing onto the bowl and cherry so I used a Versa-Marker and some Hero Arts Clear Embossing Powder for that. The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and I stamped the greetings from the same set in Memento Tuxedo Black using my Mini MISTI. Love the bottom greeting and the clever little you with the arrow pointing to the cherry! I hope that you like today’s card! Thanks for stopping by and have a superb Saturday! 🙂

Sprinkled Sundae – Concord & 9th Guest Designer for Feature Friday!

Hi peeps and a happy Friday to you all! I spent the morning yesterday doing more purging! Three bags of trash and a bag of shredding! I think that I will do more of that today, feels so good! Last night was Thirsty Thursday and a good time as always! What’s on your agenda for today?! 😀

I have the pleasure of being a Guest Designer for Concord & 9th this month along with the rest of the fabulous Design Team over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog! For the next two Friday’s we will be featuring a new product from the August Release! This week it’s the Fun Here’s the Scoop Stamps and Dies!

One of my friends always complains that there are no greetings inside my cards, so I decided that I’d make one with the image inside! To start my card I cut a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock to 5″ x10″ and folded it in half. The outside front panel is stamped with the Sprinkles Turnabout Photopolymer Stamp using my MISTI and Merman and Sunflower Ink. I then place the Here’s the Scoop Die on the front and ran it through my Big Shot to cut out the negative from the front panel. Back into my MISTI so that I could line up the sundae from the Here’s the Scoop Set and stamp it in Memento Tuxedo Black. It’s colored in with Copics to coordinate with the sprinkles! My greeting is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto a piece of 28lb Vellum and that is adhered to the inside of the front of the card with Vellum Adhesive. Love the little peekaboo of the fun sundae from the front of the card through the Vellum! There, now there is something even better than a greeting inside!

I hope that you enjoyed my Guest Designer card for Concord & 9th! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of talented Teammate’s projects! I thank you so much for stopping by! Enjoy the rest of your Friday! 🙂

Freshly Made Sketches 302

Another fun filled productive day with Sue yesterday! We got a lot accomplished and that is always a good thing! I stopped home and had a quick dinner and then headed over to Heather’s to get her so that we could go and see Brian Kim for a bit last night. We sat around the fire pit just like old times! Kim is taking the kids to see her Aunt in Florida this weekend, a nice quick getaway for them. Today I’m going to continue to work on some projects and get them out of the way! 😀

I did squeeze in a card yesterday and it’s for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

To start my card I stamped my images from the Concord & 9th Enjoy it All Photopolymer Stamp Set in Jalapeño, Fresh Lavender, Sugarplum, Merman and Peacock. They are cut out using the Coordinating Dies from the Detailed Blooms Photopolymer Stamp Set and arranged them onto a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock so that I would know where to stamp my greeting from the same set in Jalapeño. The flowers and leaves are adhered to the card with 3D Foam Squares and I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Amethyst, Lucky and Sea Breeze Sequins for a little shine! A simple little flower cluster and a nice bold greeting makes for a fun card don’t you think?! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! Thank you for visiting today! Have an awesome Thursday! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 257

Yesterday was an interesting day indeed. I got a call from Heather around 9:30 asking me if I would come be her house. She had a meeting with her manager at 10:00 via phone and thought that she was going to be laid off. Guess what… that’s exactly what happened. They are cutting about 50% of the workforce from her company. Such fun times we live in. I took a ride with her to her office to pick up her things and drop off her laptop. For a little cheering up after we went by Stephanie’s and went in the pool with the kids. I haven’t been in a pool all Summer and it was nice! After that I came home and worked on a few things. Taylor stripped by later on and we ran a few errands. This morning I’m off to Sue’s for some more Etsy fun! 😀

Mid-week and time for a new Paper Craft Crew challenge…

Today’s card may be one of the simpliest ones that I have made! I was digging around in the Stampin’ Galley and came across a set that I don’t think I have ever used! It’s the Simon Says Stamp To Thine Own Shelf Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the shelves in Kahaki and the books in Thistle, Lake Shores, Catkin and the clock in Smoke. My greeting is stamped in Khaki and that’s the card! It’s a fun card, especially for a book lover! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Back to School Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery to share with us! Thanks for stopping by! Have a wicked Wednesday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 113 – Back to School!

Well, I did get a lot accomplished yesterday! Most of it was in front of the computer, not the best way to spend a good part of the day but it needed to get done! The kiddies were at my Parent’s so I went over there for a while and saw them. We all had dinner together and then Taylor stopped by my house for a bit. Today, more computer stuff to get accomplished, JOY! 😀

It’s Tuesday and that means that it’s time for a new challenge over on the Stamp, Ink, Paper blog…

I kept my card super simple and got to use two stamp sets that have been waiting to see ink for a long time! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I stamped the greeting from the Mama Elephant Words Defined Photopolymer Stamp Set in Memento Tuxedo Black using my Mini MISTI so I could double stamp it. My apple is from the Mama Elephant Fresh Fruits Photopolymer Stamp Set and is also stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black. I colored in the image with my Copics and used the Coordinating Dies to cut it out. A little 3M Foam Tape adheres it to the card. Super simple and a good card to mass produce. It’s nice to let all of those teachers out there know that they are appreciated every once in a while! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! We hope that you take some time and share your card with us in the gallery! Stop by the BLOG for some more inspiration from the rest of the Team! Thanks you for coming by today! Have a terrific Tuesday! 🙂
