Dropping You A Lime

A little bit of a late start this lovely Sunday morning! I have grown to enjoy a lazy day on Sunday’s. Yesterday I had a great time with Kim in Manhattan! I met her at our friend’s Jason & Bev’s apartment, she is dog sitting for them. We had a little coffee on the deck and then went out for breakfast. From there we wandered around for a while. No particular place to go just wandering. After our outing we went back to the apartment and had a drink before heading to a Cuban restaurant for dinner and that was delicious! Nothing like an authentic place and there are so many in the city! I got the 8:12 train back out the Island and then just relaxed before calling it a night! I did take a few pictures once I got Penn Station of the Empire State Building. It was only white lights but it still looks cool!

I think that I will try and get a little more cleaning done today, have to have a somewhat productive day! 😀

I have a fun simple stamped background card to share with you today! I used the Concord & 9th Orange You Sweet Photopolymer Stamp Set with Black Licorice and Freshly Curt Grass Ink to create my background on a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. For the greeting I heat embossed it on a strip of Black 110lb Card Stock and adhered it randomly onto the card with Black 3D Foam Squares. That’s it… done! Quick, simple and fun! I hope that you like today’s card! I thank you for visiting and wish you a simply amazing Sunday! 🙂

  1. Hi Justin:
Glad you had a fun yet relaxing day in Manhattan yesterday. Today’s card features one of my favorite Lawn Fawn color inks. The Freshly Cut Grass ink is one of the prettiest green inks I own and that IS saying a lot. The card would be a great one to send to a friend for no reason at all except to make them smile when they received it. Thanks for sharing the photos of the Empire State building. I can’t believe what amazing photos these new phones take. Have yourself a Super Sunday. Love and hugs to you my friend. XXOO 🙂

    1. Hello Grace!
It was a really nice day, I missed the city! I love the Fresh Cut Grass, you are right it’s a really good green! I love my iPhone, it has a great camera on it for sure! Love and hugs to you! XOXO 🙂

  2. Gorgeous pics of the city. One of the best things about city life is the ability to get good authentic cultural food. In Chicago you will never run out of places to eat.

Lazy day again for me.. but oh well….

Love the card, I’m really into fruit cards in summer

    1. Thank you Linda! I always have a good time in the city! The restaurants are great and yes, there are so many!
