Oh Happy Day Balloons

Home / Blog / Oh Happy Day Balloons

I have been wanting to have a lazy Sunday morning for a while so that’s just what I had this morning! I woke up around 8:00 but laid in bed reading Apple News on my iPad. A good way to start the day. Yesterday was nice, Taylor came by in the evening and we grabbed some dinner. She was off to Manhattan with some friends after that. I watched TV and tried to find a book to read. Any suggestions for a really good book? I’m waiting for the new Dan Brown one but that’s not until October! How is your weekend going? πŸ˜€

Ok, I apologize for my obesession with the Concord & 9th Happy Balloons Set! I have another card to share with you today using it! It’s such a great set for quick cards and just some stamping! I do love to just do some stamping! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I stamped the balloons from the set in JalapeΓ±o, Mermaid and Sugarplum in the upper left corner. My greeting is from the Concord & 9th Enjoy it All Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Black Licorice using my Mini MISTI, I like to use to the MISTI to make sure that my sentiments are lined up! For the strings I used a Coptic Multi-liner and my ruler to draw them in. Some Pretty Pink Posh Amethyst, Lucky and Sea Breeze Sequins add a little sparkle and finish the card. Another quick simple and fun card with not too many supplies! I hope that you like today’s card! Thanks for spending some of your Sunday with me! Enjoy the rest of your day! πŸ™‚

  1. Nice card. I like clean and easy. If you like murder mystery books check out author Louise Penny. Still Life is the 1st in the series.

  2. Balloons are happy. Balloons are fun. Balloons are versatile. Why would anyone get tired of using them on cards? Great colors and I really like the Oh Happy Day. You have yourself a sensational Sunday my friend. Love & Hugs to you, XXOO πŸ™‚

  3. If you like mysteries, Tana French has a series of detective novels set in Ireland.
Also the Curious Incident of the Dog is one of my favorite books.

  4. Oh…. I cant wait for Dan Brown….love him. My fav authors have been on a break, hard to find something good.

Hubby and I saw Detroit yesterday. OMG, WOW thats all I can say. The movie ended and the place was silent. Excellent!

Today hubby and my son are headig down to So. Illinois to wath the eclipse. My son is a history nut so thy will stop in Springfield on Tuesday before heading home. I have so much stuff to work on, I hope I can get motivated

I’ll have to add that movie to my list!
The eclipse was ok here, need to go somewhere to see it better the next time! I find it hard to get motivated, I feel your pain! πŸ™‚

  5. David Baldacci is an excellent author, I enjoy his books but love Dan Brown. I torture myself by waiting till his latest is in paperback, muuuch later than October, lol, read his last one in a day and a half (not much else got accomplished), also enjoy Sara Paretski, but been awhile since she published. I love the bright colours and sequins on your card, we can never have enough balloons, they make us smile.

    1. I like him too but Dan is a great author! I don’t think that I could wait that long! I love to get lost in a book for a long time! Glad that you like the card! πŸ™‚
