Paper Craft Crew 258… Again! & Etsy!

Hello my friends! I finished taking down the wallpaper border in the kitchen yesterday. Stephanie stopped by and dropped off some heavy duty remover for the stubborn glue that wouldn’t come off and she hung out for a bit. I would like it if someone would be kind enough to send some paint stripping gnomes to help get the paint off of the cabinets! There are probably about 5 layers on there, not going to be a fun process at all! It’s supposed to rain today so I probably won’t get to start it until tomorrow, gives me time to mentally prepare myself! LOL! 😀

I promised a few weeks ago that I would let you know when all of my purge goodies were up on my friend’s Etsy Store and today is the day! There are over 150 new sets, some brand new and some gently used all up to 50% off retail! Head on over by clicking HERE and check everything out!

So last week I inadvertently posted my card for the Paper Craft Crew challenge and it wasn’t really supposed to go up until this week. I made a new card so you get a twofer! Here is the sketch once again…

I used the May 2017 My Monthly Hero Kit to create today’s card! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My background is a piece of Pool Party, on the bottom portion I used the Stencil from the Kit and some Tide Pool Ink with a Mini Ink Blending Tool. Across the panel is a piece of Calypso Coral that is flagged on the right along with some coral cut out using a Die from the Kit. The images are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and I colored them in with my Copics and then used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out. They are adhered wth 3D Foam Squares to a piece of 65lb Vellum that is cut out with the Hero Arts Infinity Circles Dies and that is then adhered to the background. I stamped the greeting from the Kit and then adhered to the panel to the card with E-Z Runner and Fun Foam. A few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins complete the card! I do think that the mermaid and the stencil are quite fun, don’t you?! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for the Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! 1. Like your “twofer” cards! More for us to enjoy! Good luck removing that wallpaper. I did that this summer and had to get help to finish it. The whole time I was saying to myself “what was I thinking” in regards to the wallpaper border! Don’t give up. It is so worth it in the end when you see the clean look.

  2. Oh, that is REALLY cute! That is really thinking outside the box. I absolutely love it! Good luck with your latest new project!

  3. Really, really cute card Justin. I can “sea” why you like this set! I would have limited my use of this set to birthday cards for my great, great nieces but you found a way to make it much more versatile. Yup – that creative little brain of your hard at work. LOL

You have really picked a tough project. Stripping cabinets is a total pain in the butt. I started to do that in one of my houses, gave up and just went and bought new cabinets. If I had half a brain I would never have attempted to strip the old paint off. Of course, that was my very first home improvement project on my own ever. At least you have had some experience. Good luck and we want before and after photos. Have yourself a Wonderful Wednesday my friend. Overcast and dreary here today. Love and hugs to you – XXOO 🙂

    1. Thank you Grace! It’s a fun set, I do love the MMH Kits! I think I have only missed one since they started them!
I’m not looking forward to stripping the cabinets but I can’t take the peach look anymore! LOL! It will get done, I have no time frame so no pressure! Hope you have a great day! Love and hugs to you! And I’m all caught up on comments! Yay! XOXO 🙂

  4. Love this!!! I’m a fan of so many companies but HA tops the list. I’m so impressed, how you caught up on a months worth of comments I’ll never know. Almost as bad as stripping paint, LOL

    1. Thanks Linda! I too am a big Hero fan! LOL! I needed to catch up on my comments! The cabinet doors will be much worse, I’m sure! 🙂
