SIP Challenge 115 – Colors!

One day back and I miss the lake! LOL! I did have a nice day, did some cleaning in the morning and then decided that I couldn’t stand looking at the hideous wallpaper border around the soffit in my kitchen so I started to take that down. Wallpaper is annoying! This then spiraled into me thinking about repainting the cabinets, they are a hideous peach color right now… don’t ask! I’ll take some before pictures and then when it’s all finished I’ll post the final results. It will be a while, I don’t want to rush through it and I don’t know how long it’s going to take to get the layers of paint off of the cabinets!! πŸ˜€

Today is Tuesday even though because of the Holiday it feels like a Monday! That means that it’s time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

For some reason I had it in my head that I wanted to use one of the fairies from last year’s August My Monthly Hero Kit so I stamped her in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored her in with Copics. She is cut out with the Coordinating Dies. The trail of stars and the greeting are from this year’s August My Monthly Hero Kit. I stamped the stars in Butter Bar and the greeting in Tide Pool right onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The fairy is adhered to the card with 3D Foam Squares and a few Pretty Pink Posh Sea Breeze and Platinum Sequins complete the card! I do love that little fairy especially with the trail of stars behind her! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Color Challenge! Go and see the rest of the Team’s cards over on the BLOG and share yours with us in the gallery! Thank you for stopping by today! Have a terrific Tuesday! πŸ™‚

  1. AHA Justin! So you have been bitten by the refurbishing bug eh? I see Jim has been a good influence on you and you are learning a lot from helping him with his projects. I’m telling you – I expect to see you two on Flea Market Flip before the end of next year! You sound like me now – I love Manhattan and the bustle of the City and all it has to offer but I also love the peace and quiet afforded to me living here in our little log home. I think living in a typical suburb would make me crazy. LOL

Today’s card is lovely and the saying is wonderful. It’s what I would call a “relaxing” card and I agree, maybe we aren’t made of stardust but we are certainly all made of the same stuff. You have yourself a Terrific Tuesday my friend. Love and hugs to you, XXOO πŸ™‚

    1. LOL! Yes, I have Grace and it’s all Jim’s fault! LOL! How much fun would it be to get on that show?! I love it up at the lake, it’s perfect there!
Glad that you like the card! Hope you had a great day! Love and hugs to you! XOXO πŸ™‚

  2. Really cute card today, Justin. I love the fairy with the stardust and sweet sentiment. Glad you had a fun weekend and took a short vacation from the blog. Sometimes we all need a break. Today has been beautiful, but I’m not looking forward to cooler weather. Have a great day!

    1. Thanks HJ! It’s a fun set, most of the MMH ones are! The weekend was great! It definitely felt weird to not make a card or have a post but yes, we all need a break. I wish that Summer could stay! Hope you have a fabulous day! πŸ™‚

  3. Peach? OK, no questions. Careful, one thing leads to another. Remember
I just wanted a desk, then I thought a quick paint job, but the paint didn’t match the carpet, so new floor. ETC. But i do love my new scrap room.

Cute card,,,, I’m fighting it but Im giving into fall creations. Its in the 40’s here at night. Such a shame

    1. I know… peach, can you imagine?! And it’s sponge painted! YIKES! LOL! There is a lot that needs to be done here and little by little I will get through it all!
Glad that you like the card! It has been nice here thankfully, not too cold but in the 40’s at night up at the lake. A taste of fall that they can keep! πŸ™‚
