Freshly Made Sketches 309

I don’t think that the internet is enjoying the shift to cooler weather, it’s painfully slow here lately! I did had a very productive day yesterday despite my little three hour trip into Manhattan to drop off Taylor. She was little anxious but after 6 hours of travel she made it safely to her destination. We also finally got one of the contractors to send an estimate for the work on Jim’s PA house. Things move at a very different pace up there! This morning I’m going to try and check a few more things off my to-do list and then Jim will be by later for dinner! πŸ˜€

My little bit of craftiness yielded my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches Challenge…

To start my card I stamped the large flower from the Concord & 9th Pretty Petals Photopolymer Stamp Set in Fresh Lavender and Sugarplum using my Mini MISTI so I could double stamp. The flower is cut out with the Coordinating Die. Onto a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock trimmed to 4″ wide I adhered a strip of Gold Mirror Card and then the flower. My greeting is from the Concord & 9th Enjoy it All Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder onto 65lb Vellum. I used the squashed hexagon die from the Concord & 9th Blooms Fill-In Dies to cut out the greeting. The right edge is folded over and adhered to the inside of the card with a few dots of Multi-Matte Medium behind the heat embossing to keep it in place. A simple card with that awesome huge flower! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! Thanks so much for coming by! Have an interesting Thursday! πŸ™‚

  1. Yes, I agree with Linda that this is a fabulous flower, Justin. One can never go wrong using vellum. Love the inspiring greeting! Good luck with your to-do list today.

  2. Love the velum die cut partial overlay. Makes this card.

No only the internet, I detest this colder weather, and its not even winter yet.
