Freshly Made Sketches 315

A good morning to you all! I managed to get a lot of the things on my list done yesterday, always a good feeling. Cali has been adjusting really well and has been good. I took her over to Heather’s last night and she played with Boris chasing him around the house. I pretty sure that Boris thinks he’s a dog and it was even funnier because he’s bigger than Cali! Here is what most of Cali’s day looks like, she likes to mess up the couch and then take long naps!

Today I’m starting the big card organization project, that is going to take a looooong time! LOL! But will be worth it to have everything in places that make it easier for me to find! 😀

I managed to squeeze in a card yesterday and it’s for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

What a nice simple sketch! To start my card I used a new tool that I recently acquired, the We R Memory Keepers Fram Punch Board. I created my frame out of a piece of Black 110lb Card Stock. All of the images and greeting are from the Concord & 9th Beautiful Branches Photopolymer Stamp Set. I cut a piece of Solar White 80lb to fit behind the frame and stamped the branch in Doe and the leaves in Freshly Cut Grass and Jalapeño. The greeting is stamped in Black Licorice. I added the frame to a piece of Acetate and then put 3M Foam Tape to create my well for the Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins. The stamped piece is adhered to the framed piece to create my shaker. Next I positioned the shaker on a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and stamped a few more leaves. The shaker is then adhered to the card. I really do love that Beautiful Branches Set, it’s definitely becoming a favorite! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches Challenge! Thank you for coming by! Have an amazing Thursday! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 270

Happy Wednesday peeps! I had a nice visit with my friend Ella in Manhattan yesterday. It was a quick one, the city is very busy now through the end of the year with everyone coming in to see the Christmas Tree in Rockefeller Center and the windows in a ll of the stores. A little too crowded for me to go on my usual little walks! Taylor was off so she took Cali to her house and then came back to my house and waited for me to get home so she wouldn’t be alone. Jim came by after work and we ran a few errands and then gave Cali a bath to get all of the shelter off of her. She is still being really good, let’s hope that she stays that way! This morning I have a bunch of errands to run and some things to get done on the computer. Another busy day! 😀

Middle of the week and I have my card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge to share…

It looks like a really complicated sketch but I took it down to a one layer card! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I placed it in my Mini MISTI, I find myself using the MISTI more and more for stamping all the time, it’s nice to have the option of double stamping if necessary! All of the images and greeting are from the Concord & 9th Bits & Pieces Photopolymer Stamp Set. The lines are stamped in Black Licorice, the flowers in Peachy Keen and the leaves in Freshly Cut Grass. I also used Black Licorice for the greeting and then added some Peach Iridescent and Lime Iridescent Sequins from my stash to give the card a little sparkle! I have said it before, I love a nice simple single layer card and these would be great to make multiples of with your MISTI! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and share yours with us in the gallery! Thanks for visiting with me! Have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 127 – All Wrapped Up!

Hello friends! I had a nice day with my little Cali yesterday. She has been so good, almost too good to be true. I took her over to Andrew’s Parent’s house to see his Mum and Dad. Then Andrew came over by me for a bit, he loves Cali! LOL! She is such a mush and goes to anyone. Taylor stopped by with her friend Jess and she was quite fond of the little miss too! I’m going to go into Manhattan today and Taylor is going to watch her for a little bit for me. I feel so bad that she will be home alone for a few hours but what can you do?! I think I’ll get a little carrier for her so that I can take her on city trips with me! 😀

It Tuesday and time for new challenge over on the Stamp, Ink, Paper blog…

I went with some tags, surprise! LOL! To create them I used the Concord & 9th Sprinkles Tag Dies to cut out three tags from Desert Storm 80lb. For my images I used the Concord & 9th Beautiful Branches Photopolymer Stamp Set. The branches are stamped in Doe and the leaves in Yeti Pigment Ink. Because I’m impatient I used my Heat Tool to speed up the white ink drying. Next I stamped the sentiment from the Concord & 9th O Christmas Tree Photopolymer Stamp Set in Noble Fir over the images on the tags. In the top of the tags I punched a hole and tied some Natural Twine through. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins and they are complete! I do love to make tags, these will go nicely with a prezzie wrapped in kraft paper! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp , Ink, Paper All Wrapped Up Challenge! We hope that you will stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of Team’s projects and that you will share yours with us in the gallery! Thanks for coming by today! Have a terrific Tuesday! 🙂

Paper Players 372

Happy last week of November?! Where on earth did this year go?!?! I hope that you all had a nice weekend and that if you shopped on Black Friday that you came out of it unscathed and with some great bargains! My weekend was not what I expected at all! Friday I was over Jim’s all day. We decorated his house for Christmas. He put up four trees!! Three full size ones and a small one. The house looks amazing, it’s just enough and so festive! On Saturday we decided that we would go over to an animal shelter in Freeport. I met him there and we looked at two dogs. The second one, a little Yorkie, was so cute. She was very friendly and we liked her a lot. Before I knew it we were bringing the owner back to my house for a home visit. In the car on the way back she called and told them to get the paperwork together. When we got back to the shelter Jim paid the fee for her and said Merry Christmas! So I’m happy to share a picture of the newest addition to my family, Cali…

Isn’t she just the cutest?! She is really good in the car and seems to have adjusted well to my house. I have taken her all over with me and she has been good as gold. I’m going to take her over to Jim’s to meet his dogs this week. I miss my Winston so much but I think he would have liked her a lot and would be happy that I get to share my time with her now! 😀

Let’s start the week off with a card for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

I finally received my November release from Concord & 9th after the Post Office had lost it for a week! I always end up using the set that I thought I wouldn’t first too! LOL! I stamped the bear from the Concord & 9th Hi There Bear Photopolymer Stamp Set in Black Licorice using my Mini MISTI. I added the piece that makes him a panda and put a little Black Glaze Pen on his eyes. The background is stamped in Jalapeño and cut it out with my Scissors. I stamped the balloon in Black Licorice and Sugarplum and the string is stamped on the background. The bear and ballon are cut out with the Coordinating Dies. On a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I stamped the distressed line from the Concord & 9th Bits & Pieces Photopolymer Stamp Set in Black Licorice. The background is adhered with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner and the bear and balloon with 3M Foam Tape. My greeting is from the Hi There Bear Set and is stamped in Black Licorice. I trimmed it out and added it to the card with more 3M Foam Tape. A few dots of Sugarplum added with my Stylus finishes the card! Isn’t that bear just too cute?! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players Challenge! Thanks for sharing your Monday with me! Enjoy the rest of your day! 🙂

Fab Friday 126

Hello friends! I trust that you all had a nice Thanksgiving?! I had fun over at my Brother’s with Daniel and Tristan. We played a lot, Daniel got a rocket for his birthday, you jump on this rectangle and it shoots way up in the air, he found that to be great fun! I got back home around 6:00 and Taylor came by for a bit. I finished off the evening with some TV. I’m not quite sure what I’m doing today, hopefully I’ll know soon! 😀

For our challenge over on the Fab Friday blog we have some fun colors for you this time…

I have another super simple card! I used the Simon Says Stamp Gifts of Love Photopolymer Stamp Set to create a one layer card. The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I started by stamping the large tree in Teal and then created a mask. The other two trees and the trunk are stamped in Catkin. I did all of this in my Mini MISTI so that I could double stamp each image. Finally the greeting is stamped in Schoolhouse Red. Very simple and would be so easy to make multiples of using the MISITI! I hope that you like my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Color Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and share your with us in the gallery! Thank you for coming by! Have a fabulous Friday! 🙂

Freshly Made Sketches 314

Happy Thanksgiving! I hope that you are all ready for your company today and that your day will be filled with family and friends! I had a very busy day yesterday jam packed with errands, I went to Lowe’s, Home Depot, IKEA, Target and the Dollar Store! Taylor was along for some company which was nice! Last night I went over to see Brian and Kim with Heather and then Andrew stopped by for a bit. I’ll be heading out to my Brother’s in a little while, that will be fun! 😀

Today I have a card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches to share with you…

I started the card by using the Concord & 9th Ornamental Dies to cut out a piece of Galvanized Curious Metallic. The topper is cut from a piece of Silver Glitter Card. They are adhered to a piece of Classic Cherry that is then adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My greeting is from the Concord & 9th O Christmas Tree Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder on a piece of 65lb Vellum. I added three Pretty Pink Posh Silver Sequins and then hid some Kool-Tak Clear Foam Tape behind them and adhered it to the card. Pretty simple but still a fun card! Paper Craft Crew 269

Happy pre-turkey day! I had a nice time in Manhattan yesterday visiting with Anna and Jane at The Ink Pad! I love that store!! So much fun stuff and I was really good and didn’t get anything, although that was really hard! LOL! Last night I went over to Jim’s and we worked on a few projects in the garage and then went out to grab some dinner at the diner. This morning I had a few phone calls to make before I get started on a whole bunch of errands. It’s going to be a busy day! 😀

Today’s card is for this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge…

I do love a vintage looking card but I’m not really great at making them, anyhow, this is what I came up with. The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. For the background I used a piece of paper from the DCWV Maps, Text & Ledgers 8×8 Paper Pad and adhered that to a piece of Desert Storm 80lb. My pine branches and berries are from the Essential by Ellen Poinsettia & Pine Die Set and are cut from Classic Cherry and Noble Fir. I adhered them to card with E-Z Runner. The joy is from the Essentials by Ellen Holiday Words Die Set and is cut from Silver Glitter Card. To add that to the card I used 3M Foam Tape. It needed just a little more sparkle so I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Rose Gold Sequins. Not super vintage but that paper definitely helps! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and share your with us by entering it in the gallery! Thanks for stoping by! Have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 126 – Grateful, Thankful, Blessed!

A quiet Monday! Who could ask for anything more?! I did get a few things done around the house and had dinner with the ‘rents. This morning I’m off to Manhattan to visit my friend Anna at The Ink Pad! It has been way too long since I have seen her and the shop! Should be a fun day!! 😀

It’s Tuesday and time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge…

I have been seeing a lot of cards with colored pencil on dark cardstock lately so I needed to give it a go! To create my background I stamped the leaf from the Simon Says Stamp One with Nature Photopolymer Stamp Set in Versa-Mark and heat embossed them with Hero Arts Platinum Embossing Powder onto Battleship Gray. I used my Prismacolor Pencils to color the leaves in using two shades of a color for each one. My greeting is cut three times from more Battleship Gray using a die from the Simon Says Stamp with Hero Arts StampTember Thanksgiving Photopolymer Stamp Set. I heat embossed the top one with more Platinum Embossing Powder and then adhered it to the two others and a strip of Vellum with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. The Vellum is then adhered around the back of the background and then to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I added some Pretty Pink Posh Platinum Sequins for extra bling and the card is finished! Now I know why I have seen so many cards like this, love the look of the pencil on the dark card! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! There is more inspiration over on the BLOG so stop by and don’t forget to share your card in the gallery with us! Thank you for stopping by! Have an amazing Tuesday! 🙂

Paper Players 371

Well hello there and a happy Monday to you! I hope that you all had a nice weekend, I certainly did! Saturday Jim and I did a little Christmas shopping and then headed over to my Brother’s house for Daniel’s 4th Birthday Party! Can you imagine that he is 4 already?! Here is a picture of the Birthday boy with his little sister…

They are just too damn cute! Daniel was a big fan of Jim, he spent the better part of a half hour hitting him with a ballon which he thought was absolutely hysterical!! We got him tickets to go and see Monster Jam in February, Jim is going to bring his Nephew too. Yesterday I did a few things in the morning, Jim stopped by on his way to a party over by my house for a quick visit. Later on Taylor came by and we watched some TV to finish the day. This morning I have a bunch of errands to run and then Sue is supposed to stop by and pick up some stuff from me! 😀

To start off the week I have a card to share with you for the Paper Players challenge…

I dug out an old set that is still one of my favorites! I stamped the pinecones from the Simon Says Stamp with Concord & 9th Cozy Christmas Photopolymer Stamp Set in Soft Brown, Cup O Joe and Sand to Chocolate Brown Ombre Ink using my Mini MISTI. They are cut out with the Coordinating Die. My background is stamped in Moss Hybrid Ink using the Concord & 9th Plaid Background Photopolymer Stamp. I stamped the lines in Delicata Celestial Copper Pigment Ink and then used my Heat Tool to make sure they were dry. The background is adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My greeting is from the Cozy Christmas Set and is stamped in Moss Hybrid on a strip of Solar White 80lb. I used some 3M Foam Tape to adhere to pinecones and greeting to the card and it’s done! I love those pinecones and that plaid background is definitely becoming a favorite too! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge! Thank you for starting you week off here with me! Have a magnificent Monday! 🙂

North Pole Fishing

Happy Friday! I had a very productive day yesterday while waiting for the new door to be installed at Jim’s house. I caught up on all of my Blog comments, all 100 of them! And yes, that took all day! LOL! When Jim came home we ran to the grocery store and then I helped him make stuffing for his lunch at work today. We also made some Shoo-Fly Pies using my Grandmother’s recipe and they came out really good! On my way home I stopped by Heather’s for a little Thirsty Thursday! Always good to see my ladies! Today I want to get some things done but as you can see by late post the morning isn’t going as planned! 😀

I did squeeze in a quick card this morning using the October My Monthly Hero Kit. To start the card I cut out a piece of Soft Sky with the Hero Arts Infinity Circles Dies. The images are all from the Hero Arts October My Monthly Hero Kit and are stamped in Black. I used Prismacolor Pencils to color in the eskimo and the ice. Onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I adhered a piece of Pacific Point that I embossed with the We R Memory Keepers Wave 3D Embossing Folder. A strip of Galvanized Curious Metallic goes down the left side and then the circle is adhered with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. A few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins finish the card! I love the images in the Kit, they are much easier to color in with pencils too! I hope that you like today’s card! I thank you for coming by for a visit and hope that you have a fabulous weekend! 🙂
