Freshly Made Sketches 318

Good afternoon from the frozen tundra! We are having a big snowstorm today, it’s windy with blizzard conditions… and yes… I’m over it! LOL! Guess I’ll be finding things to do around the house! I had a quiet day yesterday, some errands and a little time with Taylor last night. Getting gas last night was a treat! People go into full blown panic mode, like we have never had snow before and this will be the last time that they can get gas for at least a month! Relax peeps, everything will be ok! If there is anyone out there with some really nice weather that they would like to send my way I would really appreciate it! 😀

I was looking around this morning for a sketch and found that Freshly Made Sketches is still going on from before Christmas…

I had the urge to color this morning so I took out the Concord & 9th Hello Lovely Photopolymer Stamp Set and my Prismacolor Pencils! The flowers are stamped in Hippo on a piece of 110lb Card Stock from the Storm Clouds Pack. I did a little no line coloring but kept it simple and bright. Onto a card base of another piece of 110lb Card Stock from the Storm Clouds Pack I stamped the Hello in Noble Fir. A strip of Amethyst Stardream metallic goes down the left and the floral panel is adhered with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. A simple but really fun card to make and that Hello Lovely floral is still one of my favorites! I hope that you like my little bit of craftiness for today! Thanks for visiting! Have a warm and cozy Thursday! 🙂

  1. We had to cut our vacation short and only got to spend one day with our children – yup 2 days spent driving to spend one day with the kids. I should not complain, at least we got the one day. So we are here waiting for the inevitable loss of power. Seeing your beautifully colored flowers was just what I needed this morning. You did a fantastic job with your Prismacolor pencils. I should dig mine out, I can’t remember the last time I used them. You take care and spend the day making cards. It will take your mind off the storm. Be sure to check on your parents and make sure they have everything they need to whether this storm. Big hugs to keep you warm!

  2. The nice part of being retired is when it snows we don’t have to wonder if we should try to get to a job or not!! Sleep in and do as we please the rest of the day. Of course, hubby is out shoveling the 3-4″ we got. The wind was blowing it so it’s hard to tell how much is snow and how much is drifting. Anyway, it is part of winter…the part I could do without. Love your beautiful card. Love my Prismacolor pencils, but don’t use them much. This card is great incentive to get me back to them. Love these colors. Enjoy your day!

  3. Frozen tundra, OMG you are so right. We are back to below zero. I honestly can not get warm. This is the longest stretch of below zero days in my life. They say we should reach 20 by Saturday, it will be a heat wave, but then flippin snow.

Not complaining, I’m looking at pics from The Bomb Cyclone. Just mind boggling.

Love this card, I need to try pencils on gray paper. Love it

  4. You created such amazingly brilliant flowers!! Colored pencils are my nemesis – but I love seeing the possibilities! Thank you for playing along with us at Freshly Made Sketches!
