Paper Players 376

Hello friends and a happy Martin Luther King Day to you! A Monday is always better when it’s a Holiday!! I had a nice weekend and hope that you all did too! On Saturday Jim and I drove up to the lake house in PA to check on the work that was done, not very happy with it so I emailed the contractor and told him what needed to be fixed. It was incredibly cold but so beautiful there! Really great to get to see the place in the winter!

We stopped and had dinner at Cracker Barrel on the way home, not as good as we had remembered! Yesterday we painted his Mother’s den a nice grayish blue color. That was an all day project, the cutting in and trim takes such a long time! Today I will be recovering from using all of those muscles that I never do! LOL! 😀

I squeezed in a quick card this morning for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

Whenever I’m feeling a lack of Mojo I always grab some solid image stamps and create a stamped background. It also lets me get some more use out my neglected sets! Onto a panel of Solar White 80lb I stamped the greeting and images from the June 2016 My Monthly Hero Kit. The greeting is stamped in Charcoal and the images in Stone Wash, Lemon Yellow, Bubble Gum and Antigua. I adhered the panel to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and added a few Pretty Pink Posh Watermelon and Lemon Drop Sequins. A simple a fun card to let someone know that you are thinking of them! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players Color Challenge! Thanks for starting your week off here with me! Have a marvelous Monday! 🙂

  1. I love making my own background on cards. It always works so much better for me then using DSP. I also love that you added the Bubble Gum pink. Nice, quick yet beautiful card Justin. Great job.

  2. Really cute card, Justin. Love your hand-stamped background with those tiny images in fun colors. That’s a good tip I should follow about making my own background paper. Take care. Have a great day!
