Fab Friday 148

Fab Friday 148

Hello peeps and a very happy Friday to you! I have had a somewhat productive week. Got some projects finished and thought of some new ones to start. I’m off to see the kiddos this morning. Daniel has a bit of a cold a hopefully little miss Tristan will be in a good mood! She is in the terrible twos for sure! If she’s good we’ll be bad and go to Mc’D’s for lunch. ๐Ÿ˜€

Time for a new challenge over on the Fab Friday blog…

Most people see Halloween, not me! LOL! I dug out some oldies but goodies to make my card. It all started with the Simon Says Stamp Eliza Snowflake Die cut from some Purple Glitter Paper. I watched one of Kristina Werner’s Holiday card series videos and she made a gorgeous card with all different snowflakes cut from glitter paper. I would like all of the new snowflakes that Simon Says Stamp has released! I do love a snowflake and their ones are great! I happened to remember that there was a stamp set called Holiday Envelopes Sentiments that coordinated with the Eliza Snowflake Die. I stamped the snowflakes in Sugarplum and Carrot randomly onto a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The greeting is from the same set and is stamped in Black Licorice. I adhered the snowflake with Glue Tube. A little sparkle was needed so I added Pretty Pink Posh Amethyst and Silver Sequins and the card is done! A very simple card with really non-traditional Holiday colors, but you all know that I like that! LOL! I hope that you like my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Color Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and share yours with us in the gallery! Thank you for spending some of your Friday with me! Enjoy the rest of your day and have a fabulous weekend! ๐Ÿ™‚

Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th – Layers!

Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th – Layers!

I’m back! LOL! Here with my post for this month’s Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th. This time we have a Layers challenge…

Lately I have been really into more clean cards but who doesn’t love a few layers to give a little wow to your project?! I started my card by stamping the Deck the Halls Turnabout Photopolymer Stamp in Lime Green, Soft Cantaloupe, Tide Pool and Soft Granite Ink onto a piece of Solar White 80lb with my MISTI. It’s trimmed to 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″. My greeting is from the Very Merry Sentiments Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto a piece of Vellum. I wrapped it around the stamped panel and added it to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. For my tag I used the Holiday Cheer Tags Dies and some more Solar White 80lb. I also used the ornament die to cut out the negative from the center of the tag holder. Onto the tag I stamped the ornament from the Holiday Cheer Tags Photopolymer Stamp Set in Lime Green and added the topper cut from a piece of Galvanized Curious Metallic. A piece of American Crafts Lime Green Twine is tied through the top and the tag is added to the card. It needed just a little sparkle and to take care of that I scattered some Little Things by Lucy Shimmering Pool Gems.

I love the colors and the pop of the white tag and sentiment against the bright background! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this month’s Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Layers Challenge! There is more inspiration over on the BLOG so head on over and check it out! We hope that you will share your card with us in the gallery! Thanks for coming by again today! Enjoy the rest of your Tuesday! ๐Ÿ™‚

SIP Challenge 171 – Fall Florals!

SIP Challenge 171 – Fall Florals!

Hey there everyone! I hope that you all enjoyed your weekend! Mine was great up in PA! We all had a blast with deck parties and dinners. We really made sure that the technical last weekend for the season was a great one! We also left early yesterday and really didn’t hit much traffic on the way home which is always the best way to finish a long weekend. I’m off to see the kiddos today, what are you up to?! ๐Ÿ˜€

I will have two posts for you today and my first one is for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge…

I haven’t used my COPICS in a long time and I just felt like coloring so I stamped the large floral spray from the Concord & 9th Grateful for Everything Photopolymer Stamp Set in Amalgam Ink and set about doing some really simple COPIC coloring. Once I was finished I used the Coordinating Die to cut it out. My card base is 8″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″ and folded in half. The sentiment is from the Concord & 9th Just Because Photopolymer Stamp Set and is also stamped in Amalgam Ink onto a piece of Desert Storm 80lb and attached it to my card base with E-Z Runner Ultra Strong. My floral spray is added with the same. To give it a little extra I used my Stylus and some Forever Green Ink to add dots around the image. I love the simplicity and the bright pop of the flowers! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! Head on over to the BLOG to see the rest of the Team’s cards and share yours with us in the gallery! Thanks so much for stopping buy this morning! I’ll be back before lunch with my Design Team post for the new Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th challenge! I hope that you’ll come back for that! Until then, enjoy your morning! ๐Ÿ™‚

Paper Craft Crew 309

Paper Craft Crew 309

Ahh, halfway through the week! My brother is away this week so I have had the kiddos longer than usual. But they really are so good so I don’t mind at all. I’m off to PA for the long weekend early tomorrow morning. Last trip of the season which is a bummer. But we’ll make the most of it! Can’t wait to be in the country air again! ๐Ÿ™‚

Wednesday means it’s time for a new challenge over on the Paper Craft Crew blog…

I’m really loving navy lately! I started my card by adhering a piece of Silver Glitter Card to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Next I used the Concord & 9th Snow Flurry Dies and the circle from the Concord & 9th Globe Greetings Dies to cut out the negative of the small snowflake from a piece of Blueprint Curious Metallic and adhered it to the card with 3m Foam Tape. My greeting is from the Concord & 9th Snow Flurry Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Simon Says Stamp Ultra Fine Steel Navy Embossing Powder onto a piece of Galvanized Curious Metallic and then trimmed into to strips. They are adhered to the card with 3M Foam Tape and E-Z Runner. A few Little Things by Lucy Nautical Sparkle Sequins and Pearls complete the card! Love the negative snowflake in the circle and the sparkly silver background! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Hello everyone! I hope that you enjoyed your weekend and that your week is off to a good start! I can’t believe that it’s October already! It’s been cooler here but not cool enough to put away the shorts just yet! I’ll be off to PA at some point this week for Columbus Day weekend. Last weekend up there for the season until next Spring. Boy did this Summer fly by! ๐Ÿ˜€

Another Tuesday another challenge over on the Stamp, Ink, Paper blog…

I pulled out one of the little sets from Concord & 9th’s September release to make my card. I started by stamping the joyful from the Merry & Bright Photopolymer Stamp Set in Juice Box and then fussy cut it. Onto a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I stamped it again in Minty Fresh to help with my placement of the pine branches. They are stamped in Minty Fresh and Noble Fir. I then adhered the fussy cut joyful with 3M Foam Tape and used my Stylus and the Juice Box Ink to add the little dots. Summer simple card with lots of white space! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! Head on over to the BLOG for more inspiration and share your creation with us in the gallery! TGIF Challenge 179

TGIF Challenge 179

Hi everyone and a happy Saturday to you! I had a nice day with Daniel and Tristan. Daniel had picture day at school so I made sure that he looked all spiffy before he left! Last night I went over to Jim’s for dinner, he made homemade pizzas and they were delicious! Not sure what I’m up to today but I’m going to see if I can squeeze in some crafty time! ๐Ÿ˜€

I was playing around the other day with Distress Oxides and and made two backgrounds, one on Solar White 80lb and another on Bristol Smooth. I ended up using the one on the Bristol Smooth to make a card. I noticed that they have a background challenge over on the TGIF Challenge and I think this card fits the bill!

Here are are the two backgrounds side by side, the one on the left is Solar White 80lb and the one on the left is Bristol Smooth…

I made them by using my Mini Ink Blending Tool to add Peacock Feathers and Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide Ink. To get the spots I flicked some water onto the panels and then dried them off with a paper towel. For my greeting I used the Concord & 9th Hearts & Love Dies to cut out a piece of Super Gold Curious Metallic and Gold Metallic Vellum. The thin love is adhered to the outline with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive and then to the card with Kool-Tank Clear Foam Tape. The hearts are adhered with Multi-Matte Medium. Super simple card but I do love those Distress Oxide Inks for making a quick and fabulous background! I hope that you enjoyed my card for the TGIF Challenge! Thanks for spending some of your Saturday with me! ๐Ÿ™‚

Fab Friday 147

Fab Friday 147

Another early day with the kiddos but it’s Friday!! I spent the day on Wednesday looking for a new clothes dryer. We have some scratch and dent places around here but most of the stuff there looked like it fell off of the back of a truck doing about 80 MPH! LOL! I settled on a new one, it ended up only being about $100 more than one of the banged up ones. Not sure what’s going on for the weekend, but that’s ok, I do like a surprise from time to time! ๐Ÿ˜€

In my effort to try and get back into creating mode I have a card to share with you today for the new Fab Friday challenge…

More fun with the new release from Concord & 9th! I started my card by heat embossing the large snowflake from the Concord & 9th Snow Flurry Photopolymer Stamp Set twice in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder onto a piece of Blue Print Curious Metallic and then used the Coordinating Die to cut it out. My greeting is also from the Concord & 9th Snow Flurry Set and is heat embossed in Simon Says Stamp Ultra Fine Steel Navy Embossing Powder onto a piece of Super Gold Curious Metallic. I added a few of the snow flakes and then used the rectangle die from the Concord & 9th Just Because Dies to cut it out. I also cut it from a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock to frame it. The snowflake is adhered to a card base of Solar White 110lb. I used another die from the Concord & 9th Just Because Dies to cut out the pine branches from Gold Metallic 27lb Vellum. Some 3M Foam Tape is added to the back of the greeting and the pine branches are added tot he back before it’s added to the card. To finish it off I scattered some Little Things by Lucy Nautical Sparkle Sequins and a few Hero Arts Clear Gems. I love that Steel Navy Embossing Powder and the blue and gold together! I hope that you like my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and get some more inspiration and share your card with us in the gallery! Thanks for visiting with me today, I hope that you all have a fabulous Friday! ๐Ÿ™‚

Paper Craft Crew 308

Paper Craft Crew 308

Hello there! Two days in a row! LOL! Woo hoo! It was a gloomy rainy day here, had to take Daniel to the bus stop in the car. Tristan and I had a nice day playing in the house. We both took a little nap on the couch! Last night I went into the Stampin’ Galley to make today’s card and had a little accident, I cut my middle finger with the tip of a pair of scissors and it bled like crazy all over the card! After I got it to stop bleeding and the fainting feeling passed I went back in and remade the card. I will refrain from sharing a pic of the Merry and Bloody card with you! LOL! ๐Ÿ˜€

That card is for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge…

I used an impressive amount of goodies for such a simple card! I started by die cutting my tag using the Concord & 9th Holiday Cheer Tags Dies, the banner using the Concord & 9th Holly Jolly Banner Dies and the tree using the Concord & 9th Cozy Christmas Dies all from different shades of Grey 110lb. The tree is from the Concord & 9th Cozy Christmas Photopolymer Stamp Set and the greeting from the Concord & 9th Merry & Bright Photopolymer Stamp Set, top part stamped on the tag and the bottom on the banner, all heat embossed in Simon Says Stamp Antique Gold Embossing Powder. I also stamped the pine leaves from the Concord & 9th Merry & Bright Photopolymer Stamp Set in Smoke onto the tag. My snowflake is from the Concord & 9th Snow Flurry Dies and is cut from a piece of Silver Glitter Paper from the Concord & 9th Neutrals Glitter Paper Pack. The snowflake and banner are adhered to the card with Glue Tube and the tag and tree with 3M Foam Tape. A little sprinkle of Pretty Pink Posh Pewter, Gold and Silver Sequins complete the card! I do love all of the different shades of grey with the gold embossing! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! I’m sure that I’ll remember making this one for a while! LOL! Stop by the BLOG to see the rest of the Team’s cards and share your with us in the gallery! Thanks for visiting with me today! SIP Challenge 169 – Background Stamps!

SIP Challenge 169 – Background Stamps!

Another Monday done! I had a nice time with the kiddos and Tristan was a delight! That’s not always the case lately! Terrible two’s are no joke! LOL! I took part in the crafty garage sale on Saturday and managed to send a lot of crafty goodness to new homes! I also got to see some peeps from the store and that was really nice! I’m still cleaning and organizing the Stampin’ Galley but it’s coming along nicely! ๐Ÿ˜€

It’s time for a new challenge over on the Stamp, Ink, Paper blog…

I got to play with some of the goodies from this month’s Concord & 9th release! I started my card by stamping pieces from the Concord & 9th Cozy Christmas Photopolymer Stamp Set in Simon Says Stamp Lake Shores and Rosie Cheeks Ink using my MISTI onto some Solar White 80lb. That is then adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My greeting is cut from a piece of Glitter Paper from the Concord & 9th Neutrals Glitter Pack and two pieces of Solar White 110lb Card Stock using the Concord & 9th Merry & Bright Die. I used Multi-Purpose Spray to adhere them together and then added it to the card. A sprinkling of Shimmer Pool Gems from Little Things by Lucy finish off the card. I love the nice soft colors and big bold sentiment! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Background Stamps Challenge!
