Freshly Made Sketches 242

Happy weekend peeps! We had another warm sunny day here on Long Island! Perfect weather for my little car! The Stamp, Ink, Paper Store was good times as always! Renee went and had her hair did and the Novack sisters stopped by with a friend of theirs for a while. I managed to get my Reverse Confetti order in finally! Can’t wait to play with their new goodies! Angie came in around 5:00 to get ready for her Art Journaling Class. I left around 6:30 and had dinner at my parents. My sister-in-law said that she thinks that her contractions are starting! Daniel will have a new baby brother or sister soon! Can’t wait to meet him or her! I ran out last night to get gas and pick up a few things from Target. While I was roaming the aisles I came across Blueberry Oreos! If you see them and you like blueberry pie pick yourself up a pack! They are quite tasty! Especially with a cut of coffee! Today I will work on my cards for next month’s card class while I’m at the store. The administrative stuff can wait, I need to have a crafty day!

Today I have my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches to share with you…

Freshly Made Sketches 242

I promise that this will be the last layered die cut card for a while! You know me, I get on a kick! LOL! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I heat embossed the Hero Arts Confetti Bold Prints background onto the front in Ranger Silver Pearl Embossing Powder. Two circles are cut from Soft Sky and So Saffron using the Lawn Fawn Cross Stitched Circles Stackables Lawn Cuts. I used some Gold Mirror Card to cut out the ticket and the word fun from the Spellbinders Amused 1 Die D-Lites and Etched Alphabet Shapeablities. The big top is also from the Amused 1 set and is cut from Wisteria Wonder. Some Black 110lb and a piece of Strawberry Slush cut out with the mustache and bow tie which are from the Spellbinders Hipster 2 Die D-Lites. The flag is cut from Silver Glitter Paper. I adhered the FUN to the So Saffron Circle with Multi-Matte Medium and the big top, flag and ticket to the Soft Sky circle with Dot Runner. My bow tie and mustache are adhered with Foam Tape. A little more Dot Runner holds the So Saffron circle to the card and Foam Tape adheres the Soft Sky one. I tucked in the banner cut from Coastal Cabana from the Amused 1 Set under the top circle and the card is finished! I do love the layering of dies cuts to make a “fun” different card! LOL! I hope that you like today’s card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! Thank you for coming by today! I wish you all a spectacular Saturday! 🙂

Fab Friday 90

A very happy Friday to all of my peeps! What a nice day I had yesterday! I spent the morning getting the rest of Renee’s computer issues straightened out, 2 hours of my life I won’t get back! Thanks Microsoft! LOL! Sue stopped by the store so I got to wish her a Happy Birthday in person and give her her card! Renee got her a little chocolate cupcake too! Sandy stopped by to say hi and we played with some Altenew stamps. After they left I set out to make my card for last night’s Intro to Altenew class at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store! Nothing like cutting it close! There were 10 people scheduled and 14 showed up! YAY! We had so much fun and everyone left with a beautiful card and bunches of Altenew goodies so they can recreate their art at home! Bill stopped by on his way to say hello, love a visit from him! On my way home I stopped by Heather’s for a low key Thirsty Thursday. Brian was there and we sat and chatted and laughed as always! I got home around 11:30 and then set out to make my card for today! I don’t think that I have been to bed before 1:00AM in over a month but it’s all good!

The card that I made is for the Fab Friday Challenge! This time we have some colors…

Fab Fri 90 6-24-2016

A little patriotic, just in time for the 4th! My card is nice and simple! I have been really enjoying playing with die cuts lately! It’s all the My Monthly Hero Kit from this months fault! 😀 The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I adhered a piece of postage themed Washi Tape down the left side. The die cuts are from the Spellbinders Feather Shapeablilities, Hipster 1 and Hipster 2 Die D-Lites. I cut them from Real Red, Tempting Turquoise, Pacific Point and Night of Navy. My greeting is form the Hero Arts Many Everyday Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. I adhered the phone and feather to the card with Dot Runner and the greeting banner and coffee cup with Foam Tape. It needed a little something else so I added Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins and a few Studio Calico Wood Veneer Stars. I love the phone and coffee cup die cuts and I need to get some more of the Wood Veneer Stars! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Color Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you for taking the time to stop by and check out my latest! Have a fabulous Friday! 🙂

Mojo Monday 453

Hello my people and welcome to the beginning of another week! I hope that you all enjoyed your weekend and that you got to spend some time with family! I woke up super late yesterday! I think that the previous three days finally caught up with me! I had to help out my neighbor with his new printer before I headed over to the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store. It was another lovely day here on Long Island so it was a top down day all day! Angie, Renee and I got some things done and I left the store around 1:00 to head out to my brother’s to spend Father’s day with him, and the rest of the family! Here is a picture of Taylor, Me, my Dad, my Brother Jason and little Daniel!

Father's Day 2016

Three generations of Krieger’s! Jason made a really good dinner and Erika made my favorite, Couscous! Around 5:15 I headed back home to let Winston out and I ran a few errands before coming back to make my card for today and then work on some orders for the store! I have my Intro to Altenew this Thursday so I have to get ready for that!

Starting off another week my favorite way… playing along wth the rest of the Design Team for this week’s Mojo Monday sketch…

My obsession with ink blending and stamp layering sets continues! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I masked off where the two diagonal pieces of paper would go and used my Mini Ink Blending Tool and applied some Mermaid Lagoon to the bottom and Mustard Seed to the top. After I removed the mask I adhered a piece of Hello Honey and Tangerine Tango for my diagonal pieces. A few clusters of grass are stamped in Hero Arts Green Apple Hybrid Ink. The center panel is a piece of Tim Holtz Watercolor Card that I added some Mustard Seed and Spiced Marmalade to after I cut it out with the Lawn Fawn Cross Stitched Rectangles Stackables Lawn Cuts. It’s then adhered to the card with E-Z Runner and Fun Foam. That gorgeous Flamingo is from the Hero Arts Color Layering Flamingo Photopolymer Stamp Set. I used my Mini MISTI to stamp it in Pale Tomato, Unicorn White and heat set that, White Dye Ink and heat set that and then stamped the final layer in Ultra Pink. The beak, eye and legs are stamped in Intense Black and then he’s die cut with the Coordinating Frame Cut and adhered to the card with Multi-Matte Medium and Foam Tape. My greeting is from the same set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto a piece of 46lb Vellum. I flagged the right side and adhered it to the card with Kool-Tak Clear Foam Tape. Yup, I just had to add some Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear, Pumpkin and Marigold Sequins! I do love the mix of bright colors and the awesome Flamingo! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Design Team’s fabulous cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you for starting your week off here with me! I wish you all a magnificent Monday! 🙂

Freshly Made Sketches 241

What day is today?! LOL! It was another late night at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store with the second night of the June Lawn Fawn Card Class! Night two was just as much fun! We all had a great time and my friend Maggie came all the way out from Manhattan to take the class! I picked her up at the train station and then dropped her off before heading home for the evening. I do so love to get see all of the talented card makers and newbies making the cards and letting me know which ones are their favorites! I think that it was a tie between the shaker and the slider this month! We also tried a new format for getting the cards done, I think it worked better than previous months but I’ll have to see what the feedback is from the classes. After all, it’s all about making it a great experience for the people that take the class! Today we have Jen Starr coming to teach a few classes for Scrap-A-Latte, I’m looking forward to seeing her! She’s a great teacher and a really funny person!

The card that I have for you today is my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

Freshly Made Sketches 241

I stamped and die cit my images at the store and then put the card together when I got home last night! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I embossed a piece of Soft Sky with the We R Memory Keepers Waves Next Level 3D Embossing Folder and adhered that to the card with E-Z Runner. Across the bottom is a piece of Pacific Point with the sentiment from the Hero Arts Color Layering Seahorse Photopolymer Stamp Set heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. That too is adhered to the card with E-Z Runner. The images are from the same stamp set, I stamped the seahorse in Soft Pool, Pool and Deep Ocean, the large shell in Soft Brown and Cup O Joe and the small one in Wet Cement and Butter Bar. They are all cut out with the Coordinating Frame Cuts and adhered to the card with Foam Tape. It needed just a little sparkle so I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Sand, Aquamarine and Sparkling Clear Sequins. I love the Hero Arts Color Layering sets and the new 4 packs of ink that coordinate perfectly with them are great too! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! Thank you for coming by today! I wish you all the best Saturday ever! 🙂

Paper Players 299

Another stellar day here weather wise! Top down in the Saab to and from the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store! I had a ton of stuff to get done and with a little help from my friends Sue and Brian it all did get finished! I had a Lawn Fawn, Hero Arts and Notions order to check in, price and put out. I also had to cut for class. I never realize just how complicated the class cards are until I go to cut! Brian helped with the mountains and Sue and I did the rest! When I arrived home I had some dinner and finished up my laundry, ran out to get gas and then did a late night run to Target. I think I also snuck a little 20 minute nap in there! Today I need to rearrange some things in the store and finish up prep for class, just a few small things left to do. I also have another Hero order coming today, hopefully! Fingers crossed! I really hope to get to have some time to play with the new goodies that came in!

My card that I sat down and made last night is for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

Paper Players #299

I had no Dapper Denim so I went with Night of Navy! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. For the background I used a piece of paper from the DCWV Maps, Text & Ledgers Stack. It’s adhered to a piece of Night of Navy and then adhered to the card. The little die cuts are from the June My Monthly Hero Kit and are cut from more Night of Navy. I scattered them about the card and adhered them with Foam Tape. The greeting is from the Stamp Set that came with the kit and is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto a piece of Real Red. I flagged the left side and adhered that to the card with more Foam Tape. I’m a sucker for a map background and those die cuts go so perfectly with it! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players Color Challenge! Thank you for your time today! I wish you all a lovely Thursday! 🙂

Yes, we had another nice day here! Top down in the car on the way to the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store! I was very productive at work and even got my card made for today which was a good thing! Heather surprised me and stopped by the store with Starbucks and she stayed and did some school work. We had Blaze Pizza for lunch. She text me after she left to say that a rock had hit her windshield. That was an understatement! It almost went through the windshield. She had the car towed back to her house. Around 6:30 she called and told me that her dad was taken to the hospital so I left the store and took her over to see him. We stayed until around 8:00 and then I dropped her off at her house. She is leaving this morning for New Orleans with George for a little get away and I think that she needs it bad! Hopefully she has a good flight and a relaxing time while she’s away! Today I’ll make the final preparations for my Stamping 101 class and get some more samples made!

Midweek and the means that I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew blog for this week’s color challenge…

PCCCS198 DT Colors 6-08-2016

Toady’s card base is Ivory 110lb Card Stock. I used all Waffle Flower goodies for the card! The funky background is a piece of Mint Macaroon cut out with the Waffle Flower Tribal Pattern Die. My flowers are cut from So Saffron for the mats and Calypso Coral for the flowers using the Waffle Flower Lacy Flowers and Lacy Flower Mats Dies. I used Elmer’s Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive to adhere the background to the card and the flower pieces together. The large flower is adhered to the card with Foam Tape and the others with Dot Runner Adhesive. I used the Waffle Flower Tiny Butterfly Die to cut out a piece of Black 110lb and adhered that to the card with more Foam Tape. My sentiment is from the Waffle Flower Doily Circle Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Onyx Black. Renee had some Dew Drops so I adhered a few yellow ones in the middles of the flowers and the card is finished! I really do love the intricate and unusual dies that Waffle Flower has, makes for a nice change! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Color Challenge! Hmm… my week is a little off! I thought that today was Tuesday because we had off Monday?! I guess my excitement that Friday will be here before I know it will make up for all of that confusion!! LOL! So happy Wednesday! Before I headed over to the store this morning I stopped by Heather’s and fixed her mouse on her work computer. I was thanked with a nice breakfast of eggs, sausages, hash browns and toast! SO much for that diet! But, I was good for the rest of the day! On the way to work there was traffic on the parkway and there usually isn’t. Well, low and behold some truck driver decided that he would use a bridge as a can opener! As I drove by the scene the roof of the truck was still laying in the road. I know I saw a sign about clearance, guess he didn’t! The store was busy and Renee and I both worked on different projects. We also had salad for lunch, we are starting a new healthy eating kick! After I got home, top down in the car again, I had a sandwich for dinner and then ran to BJ’s the get some things before settling in for the evening. Today I have some more product coming into the store and a lot of paperwork related stuff to do! I’m going to try and get some crafty time in too!

Since it is Wednesday that means that I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew blog for this week’s sketch…

PCCCS197 DT Sketch 6-01-2016

My card is way out of my comfort zone today! I used some really bright colors! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I masked off the square with Post-it Tape and used my Mini Ink Blending Tool to apply some Twisted Citron Distress Ink. I used the same method to apply Mermaid Lagoon and Wilted Violet to two pieces of Canson 140lb Watercolor Card. They are adhered to the card at angles to match the sketch. My cityscape is a piece of Black 110lb cut out with the Impression Obsession City Landscape Layers Dies and is adhered on top of the inked panels. The little taxi and greeting are from the Hero Arts City Adventure Photopolymer Stamp Set and are both heat embossed in Black Embossing Powder, the taxi on Hello Honey and the greeting on Desert Storm 80lb. I flagged the left side of the greeting and used Foam Tape to adhere them both to the card. A sprinkling of Pretty Pink Posh Amethyst, Marigold, Lime Sorbet and Onyx Sequins complete the card! I have to say that I really do love the bright colors against the subdued colors of the taxi and greeting and that City Die is so cool!! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see what the rest of the Designer’s have done and enter your card in the gallery! Mojo Monday 450

Another sunny day here yesterday, a little on the humid side but that’s because our streak of luck has run out! It’s supposed to rain all day today. Oh well, it was great while it lasted! I spent the day crafting, actually getting a little ahead! I managed to make three cards! Yippie! I also had to go for a ride and enjoy the weather so I headed over to Barnes & Noble in search of a magazine but I alas they didn’t have it. I’ll have to see if I can stop by one in Manhattan today, that’s where I’m headed. I guess I’ll have to be sure and bring my umbrella, wonder where that is?! Oh Happy Memorial Day to all my peeps in the states, it’s going to be a washout here but hopefully you will have nice weather where you are and get to enjoy a BBQ with your friends and family!

Today, like every Monday, lucky boy that I am, I’m over on the Mojo Monday blog for this week’s sketch challenge…

Love a Tall & Skinny!! My card base is Neenah Solar White 100lb Card stock. For my background I stamped a piece of Melon Mambo with the Hero Arts Confetti Bold Prints Background using Hero Arts Raspberry Jam Ink. Down the left side is a piece of Gold Mirror Card and my greeting, along with all of my images, is from the Hero Arts Color Layering Flower for You Photopolymer Stamp Set. I heat embossed the greeting on a piece of 46lb Vellum and wrapped it around the panel before adhering it to the card with E-Z Runner. The flag is a piece of Solar White 80lb with the outline of the flower image stamped in Ultra Pink and that’s adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. The main flower is stamped in Bubble Gum, Ultra Pink and Raspberry Jam with the leaves stamped in Lawn Fawn Freshly Cut Grass Ink and Forever Green. I used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out and adhered the leaves with Dot Runner and the flower with Foam Tape. Around the top I tied a piece of American Crafts Brights Hemp Twine in a bow to finish the card. I love that Flowers for You Set and the fun Confetti Background! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for his week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Take a minute to stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter your creation into the gallery! Thank you for starting another week off here with me! Have a fantastic Monday! 🙂

Fab Friday 88

Hi all and a happy Friday to you!! Another amazing day weather wise here yesterday! Another top down to and from work day! The store was quiet yesterday but Renee and I got a lot accomplished. I started my cards for next month’s class and Renee got organized! Taylor and Kiera stopped by, she brought my Copics up because I forgot them at home and they stayed until the store closed. I had dinner at my parent’s and got to see my brother and Daniel! He has such a great laugh! You can’t help but smile when you hear him start giggling! After dinner I came home and made my card for today and then ran out to Target to pick up a few things. Thankfully there are open until midnight! I also got to chat with Heather, she is back at school so there will be no thirsty Thursday’s for a while, bummer! She’s going to try and come by the store for lunch tomorrow, that will be fun!

Well, it’s a Fab Friday this week so I’m over on the blog for our color challenge…

Fab Fri 88 5-27-2016

I needed to make a quick card, going forward I’m going to make an attempt to work on Design Team stuff ahead but it’s taking a while to get acclimated! I had the base of this card sitting on my desk for about three months so I decided that it was high time I finished it! Speaking of the base it’s Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Simon Says Stamp Thanks Scallop Border Die to cut the bottom of a piece of Solar White 80lb that I inked with Simon Says Stamp High Dive using my Mini Ink Blending Tool. It’s adhered to the card with E-Z Runner. The thanks is cut from Black 110lb and inlaid back into the die with Multi-Matte Medium. My tree branches are cut from Chocolate Chip with the Memory Box Branching Out Die. I adhered them onto the card with more Multi-Matte Medium. The flowers are punched out from Blackberry Bliss and Hello Honey using an old EK Tools Mini Flower Punch and I adhered them to the branches with Mini Glue Dots. Finally I added Pearls to the middles of all of the flowers with Bling Glue Dots and the card is finished! Nice and simple and I love when I get to find a use for something that has been siting on my desk for a while! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Color Challenge! Go and check out the rest of the Team’s cards over on the BLOG and enter your card in the gallery! Thanks for coming by today! Have a fun-tabulous Friday! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 196

Another fun day at Stamp, Ink, Paper! Renee got a new line of paper in that moved like hotcakes! My second half of my Lawn Fawn order arrived, I entered it in the system, priced it and put it out. I got in touch with the customers that wanted it and they came in throughout the day to pick it up. Renee and I bounce ideas off of each other all day and she called me after she left with a really good one!! Can’t wait to share it with you! When I got home I had dinner, mum made chili! One of my favorites! My friend Sue stopped by and we chatted for a while and I subjected her to my latest YouTube obsessions! After she left I sat down and made my card, it was going to be a quick card… ummm… not really! Does that happen to you? You set out to make a simple card and end up using half of the supplies that you have?! LOL!

Today I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew blog for this week’s sketch challenge…

PCCCS196 DT Sketch 5-25-2016

When I saw the sketch I remembered that I had a butterfly die that I had picked up a while ago on one of my trips with Sue and Michael to a craft show. About time I used it! The card base today is Ivory 110lb Card Stock. I splattered some Heidi Swapp Tinsel Color Shine on the front and worked on the rest of the card while that dried. A piece of Gold Mirror Card (yes, again! LOL!) is cut out with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Squares Lawn Cuts and adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My butterfly is a two piece die from Paper Artist. I cut the back out from a piece of 36lb Vellum and the top from a piece of Basic Gray. A tiny piece of Scor-Tape holds the two together and also adhered it to the Mirror Card. Another piece of Mirror Card is cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Loopy Circles Craft Die and adhered to the butterfly with Multi-Matte Medium. The greeting is from the Hero Arts Many Everyday Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Ranger Liquid Platinum Embossing Powder onto a piece of 48lb Vellum. I used the Lawn Fawn Everyday Sentiment Banners to cut it out and used a piece of Kool-Tac Clear Foam Tape to adhere it to the card. Yes, I’m obsessed with that Mirror Card, but you have to admit it does look pretty cool! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge! Stop by the blog and tale a peek at the rest of the Team’s projects and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you for taking a little time out of your day to visit with me! Have a happy Wednesday! 🙂
