Paper Craft Crew 236

It was a beautiful day here yesterday, a little taste of Spring! The Store was pretty busy, I did get the Lawn Fawn order in and emailed everyone to let them know that their goodies had arrived. I got to see Sandy for a bit and then Sue stopped by and right after that Debbie! Today I have to get my butt in gear and make sure that I have all of the projects for upcoming classes ready! I’m even going to send out a newsletter!! Gotta get back into the swing of things! Last night my friend Jim came over. We ran a few errands and picked up dinner, we even put the top down in the car! A little time was also spent working on a special project! It’s going to be great when it’s finished! 😀

It’s Wednesday today so time for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge…

I actually made the tag for this card a few weeks ago and then made it into a card. I dusted off some older Lawn Fawn sets too! The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Lawn Fawn Grassy Hillside Borders to cut the top and bottom of a piece of Herb Garden Card Stock and adhered that across the center. My circle is a piece of Kraft that I cut out with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Circles Stackables Lawn Cuts. The tag is cut from a piece of Solar White 80lb with the Lawn Fawn Tag, You’re It Lawn Cuts, I tied a piece of Natural Twine through the hole and adhered it to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. All of the images except the worm and branch are from the Lawn Fawn Love you S’more Photopolymer Stamp Set and are stamped in Jet Black and colored in with Copics. The worm and branch are from the Lawn Fawn Bugs and Kisses Photopolymer Stamp Set, I used the Coordinating Dies to cut out all of the images and then adhered the to the card with 3D Foam Squares. I love those stamp sets and I’m so happy with the way the marshmallows tuned out! They look nice and toasty! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s card and let’s see yours in the gallery! Thank you for spending some time with me today! Have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

Freshly Made Sketches 276

Well, that was a very busy day at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store! The Lawn Fawn order came in and went right back out! I couldn’t have gotten it all done with the help of my friend Sue! We worked all day on making sure that everything was sorted, packed and mailed. Everyone that placed an order had their packages mailed out yesterday! I stopped at the Post Office and dropped them off and the lady couldn’t have been nicer! From there it was home to have a little dinner and then off to Heather’s for Thirsty Thursday! We ended up running to Target and met up with Stephanie there. Back to the house for a lot of laughter! Taylor stopped by and George even hung out with us for bit! I do love my peeps, they are pretty awesome! Today I will input the extra Lawn Fawn and get it back up on the Store site! 😀

I have my card for they week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge to share with you today…

I started by stamping the flowers and leaves from the Altenew Magnolias for Her Photopolymer Stamp Set in Jet Black Crisp Ink. To color them in I used my Prismacolor Pencils, I’m getting better but am far from where I want to be with them! I did really enjoy the coloring and blending and that’s what it’s all about right?! After they were colored in I used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out. For my card I started off with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The panel was actually left over from a card that I made a few weeks ago. I heat embossed the Hero Arts Designer Woodgrain Background Stamp in Hero Arts Clear Embossing Powder onto a piece Kraft. My greeting is from the Sentiments & Quotes Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto a strip of 48lb Vellum. I wrapped the Vellum around the back of the woodgrain panel and then adhered it to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. The leaves and single flower are adhered with more E-Z Runner. I choose to forgo the sequins to keep the focus on that pretty flower! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! Thanks for coming by to see me today! Have a fantastic Friday! 🙂

Paper Players 332

I can definitely say that I’m enjoying the weather, it was in the 50’s yesterday! I’ll take that! I had a nice quiet day at the Store. Worked on projects, saw customers and spoke to friends. My Lawn Fawn order will be arriving today. It will all get checked in and packaged up to be sent out with the help of my friend Sue! I’m happy that she is coming, there are a lot of packages to get together! I spoke to my friend Jim on the way home from work and then had dinner with my Parents. I sat and watched this week’s episode of This is Us and then Andrew came by for a visit! His group Satellite Lane has an album coming out soon and he gave me a little preview! It’s great and I’ll be sure and let you all know when it’s available! After he left I watched a movie and then called it a very late evening. Can’t wait to get to the store today and get all of those goodies sent out! 🙂

I have a fun set of cards to share with you for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

I used the Altenew Painted Flowers and Halftone Hello Photopolymer Stamp Sets to make four one layer cards! The hello on all of them is stamped in Velvet and Jet Black Crisp Ink using my Mini MISTI. I then stamped the flowers randomly on each of the cards using Jet Black, Frayed Leaf, Blush, Rouge, Crimson and Velvet Crisp Inks. After the flowers were stamped I added the second parts of the sentiments. They needed a little something more and I was going to use sequins but I really wanted to keep them nice and flat, easy for mailing, so I added some dots with my Uniball Gold Signo Gel Pen. It gave them that something more without adding any bulk to them! I really am happy with the way they came out and can’t wait to give them to someone as a gift! I hope that you enjoyed my cards for this week’s Paper Players Challenge! Thank you very much for stopping by! Have a crafty Thursday! 🙂

Paper Players 331

Hello my friends! We had another pretty nice day and next week we are to get up into the 60’s again! Can’t wait for that! It was another fun day at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store, Renee and I got some of our many projects worked on and Isa came by to scrapbook and my Parent’s stopped by too! After work I had a quick dinner and then went over to Heather’s. She had made Arepas for dinner last night and saved me one! It was delicious. We saw George for a bit and then headed over to pick up Stephanie so we could run to the Walt Whitman Mall. Heather had to exchange her Michael Kors bag and Stephanie wanted a new one! I got Starbucks so I was happy! We also did an early Thirsty Thursday since I have Card Class tonight. Always a good time with my ladies! 😀

Some of my time at the Store was spent making my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

I love those colors! I started off by heat embossing the images from the Altenew Lotus Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Copper Embossing Powder onto a piece of Ballerina Pink and Slate. They are cut out with the Coordinating Dies and put aside while I worked on my base. To create it I used on of the Hero Arts Acetate Note Cards and added some Solar White 80lb to the front, inside front and back. So there would be somewhere to write the greeting I adhered a folded piece to the inside back. My flowers and leaves are then adhered to the card front with E-Z Runner and 3D Foam Squares. The greeting is from the Altenew Label Love Photopolymer Stamp Set and is also heat embossed in Copper onto another piece of Ballerina Pink and cut out with my Scissors. Some more 3D Foam Squares adhere it to the card. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins and the card is finished! It was actually a pretty simple card to make, I love the Acetate Note Card and the simple look of the heat embossed images! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Paper Players Challenge! Thank you for stopping by! Have an excellent Thursday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 86 – Colors!

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! I have to admit that I’m a big romantic at heart! A lot of people think that Valentine’s Day is just a made up Holiday but I think that it’s the perfect day to show someone that you care a lot about how much they mean to you! Not that you should have to wait for Valentine’s Day to do that, you should make it point to do it as often as possible! If we all focused more on love and less on hate what a wonderful world this would be! And to that I had a lovely day at the Store yesterday. Renee and I do manage to have a good time in between all of the work and planning! When I got home I had a quick dinner with my Parents and then went out with Heather to Stop & Shop and then back to her house. My friend Louis stopped by to pick up some cards for his loved ones and I got to see George for a bit before I left. Renee is off today so I will be manning the Store. Stop by and show me some love if you are in the area! 😀

Today we have a new Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge for you, this time it’s colors…

I haven’t watercolored in a while and I wanted to so that’s what I did on today’s card. I started by heat embossing the rose and stem from the Altenew Sketchy Rose Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto a piece of Arches 140lb Cold Press Watercolor Paper. To add my color I used my Mijello Mission Gold Watercolors and #2 and #4 Silver Paint Brushes. I used my Heat Tool to dry the layers in between adding color and adhered the panel to a background of Black. The greeting is from the same set and is stamped in Onyx Black. All that was left to do was to adhered the panel to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I do love that rose image and I’m so happy with the way the shading turned out! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Color Challenge! We hope to see your card in the gallery after you stop by the BLOG for some more inspiration from the rest of the Team! Thanks so much for visiting! Have a romantic Tuesday! 🙂

Mojo Monday 484

Crop weekends are definitely my favorite weekends at the Store! Everyone is working on projects and laughing! I try to demonstrate something to make creating easier and more fun, sometimes it’s a big hit! LOL! And despite the gloomy, rainy day it was bright and sunny inside! After work I came home and a little Chinese with the Parent’s and then spent the rest of the evening watching the Grammy’s. With the exception of a few performances it was ok. Adele was amazing! Her version of Fastlove was incredible. And good for her starting over because something went wrong! She said she would and did! Today, another day of creativity at the Store, nice way to start the week! 😀

Since it’s Monday we get to be creative with a new Mojo Monday sketch…

My card starts off with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock covered with a piece of Chinese Red. I used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle Stackables Lawn Cuts to cut out a piece of Patterned Paper and then stamped the airmail edge from the Altenew Happy Mail Photopolymer Stamp Set In Crimson and Sapphire Crisp Ink. I added a piece of 48lb Vellum that I cut out with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Squares Stackables Lawn Cuts to the rectangle and then adhered it to the card base with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner Ultra Strong. A strip of Deep Blue is adhered down the left side. My images and greeting are also from the Happy Mail Set. I stamped the stamps and postmark in Memento Tuxedo Black and used my Copics to color them in. The hearts in the center of the postmark are stamped in Crimson and then that is cut out with the Hero Arts Infinity Circles Dies. I trimmed out the stamps with my Scissors and adhered them all to the card with 3D Foam Squares . For the greeting I stamped part in Sapphire and the love in Crimson and adhered it with more 3D Foam Squares. I do love the mail theme to the stamp set and the versatility too! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Head on over to the BLOG and see the rest of the cards that the Design Team has created to inspire you! We hope to see your card in the gallery! Thank you so very much for starting your week off once again here with me! Have a stellar Monday! 🙂

Freshly Made Sketches 274

Some people like a snow day, I’m not one of those people! I feel trapped! LOL! I don’t have a problem staying in the house unless I feel that I don’t really have a choice, and a snow day is just that! I did have a productive day. I spent a lot of time organizing the house, cleaned out under the bed, threw out lots of stuff. I watched some TV and trudged next door for dinner. This morning I have a haircut and then off to the Store! 😀

Today I have a nice clean card to share with you for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

My card base is a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I added a piece of Photoplay This Guy 12×12 Paper to piece of Cyber Grape and added the flags to the left side with Purple Hearts. It was at this point that I decided that I wanted my greeting in the lower right of the panel, put that aside for now! My butterfly is from the Altenew Painted Butterflies Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Soft Lilac, Lavender Fields and Deep Iris using my Mini MISTI. I cut it out with the Coordinating Dies. The greeting is from the same set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto the Woodgrain Paper. I then adhered the the panel to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner and the butterfly with 3D Foam Squares. A few Pretty Pink Posh Amethyst, Orchid and Sparkling Clear Sequins finish the card! I love that butterfly in the soft purples against the bold woodgrain, but then I always like a woodgrain! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! Thank you for stopping by to see me! Have a fantastic Friday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 85 – Love!

What a nice Monday that turned out to be! The weather was pleasant, it won’t be later in the week, and the Store was busy! Renee had her Christmas Card Club Class and there were some new ladies in it! A very funny and group indeed! I got some projects completed and still have a ton more to do! After work I had dinner with my Parents and then came home and continued the purge! Feels so good to get rid of things and have less clutter! Can’t wait to do some more tonight! Renee is off from the Store today and my friend Sue will be coming by to spend some time with me! 😀

Tuesday and we have a new Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge for you…

Ahh… love! And just in time for Valentine’s Day! I have been a little obsessed with stamped backgrounds lately and today I have another one! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Black. To create my background I used the Altenew Painted Flowers Photopolymer Stamp Set. The flowers are stamped in Jet Back, Soft Lilac, Lavender Fields and Deep Iris and the leaves in Frayed Leaf Crisp Inks. I trimmed the panel to 5 1/4 by 4. My greeting is from the Altenew Super Script 2 Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder along with the hearts from the set onto a piece of 48lb Vellum. I cut the bottom at an angle and folded the top over the stamped background, the whole thing is adhered with E-Z Runner. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins finish the card! I really love that Painted Flowers Set, it’s one of the more forgiving layering sets and I think it creates a very nice background! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Love Challenge! Take a minute to go over to the BLOG and see the rest of the Design Team’s creations and enter yours in the gallery to share with us! Thank you so much for stopping by today! Mojo Monday 483

Well, my Sunday didn’t start off as planned, I woke up at 6:00am with a massive headache, I text Renee to tell her I would be late, took Excedrin and went back to bed. Thankfully when I finally woke up around noon it had gone. I had to make the dip for the Super Bowl Party so I went over to Heather’s and did that. We picked up Stephanie and drove out to Islip for the party. We had a great time and the people that hosted it were really nice! I got to spend some time with my peeps and I enjoyed the Half-Time Show! Today I have lots to catch up on at the Store. One day not being there isn’t a good thing! 😀

The one thing that I really like about Monday’s is the fact that it’s time for a new Mojo Monday sketch…

I had the flower for today’s card sitting on my desk so I decided that it needed to get used! For the card base I used a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and covered the front with a piece of Slate. To create my background I stamped the flower outline from the Altenew Beautiful Day Photopolymer Stamp Set in Evening Gray Crisp Ink onto a piece of Solar White 80lb. Next I heat embossed the leaf outline in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto another piece of Slate. Across the lower half of the card is a piece of American Crafts Silver Glitter Card. The flower and leaves are from the same set and are stamped in Blush, Rouge, Crimson, Velvet, Frayed Leaf, Forest Glades and Evergreen Crisp Ink. I used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out and adhered them with E-Z Runner and 3D Foam Squares. My greeting is also from the Beautiful Day Set and is heat embossed in more White onto a piece of 48lb Vellum. I used a strip of Rose Chintz with a thin strip of the Silver Glitter Card and some more 3D Foam Squares to hold down the vellum. I love the way the grays really let the flower stand out on the card! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you so much for starting another week off with me! Have an amazing Monday! 🙂

Freshly Made Sketches 273

Hello my friends! It’s getting chilly here again, guess Winter is back for a little while. The Store was a good time yesterday, projects were worked on, Angie was in and Marianne came by to work on her Home Decor Projects. After work I stopped and saw Heather for a bit and then came home, had some dinner and listened to some music. Jim stopped by and so did Heather. What a nice way to end a Friday! I have a lot more projects to get finished up at the Store today, as always, so much fun! 😀

My card that I have to share with you is SUPER Clean and Simple and it’s for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

To start the card I stamped the celebrate from the Altenew Super Script Photopolymer Stamp Set in Sapphire, Persian Blue and Caribbean Sky Crisp Ink using my Mini MISTI so I could double stamp them to get a nice crisp image. The three are then cut out with the Coordinating Dies. I lined them up on a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and stamped the happy birthday from the same set in Sapphire. The lightest one is adhered to the card with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive and the other two with 3D Foam Squares. I was going to add a few sequins but decided that I liked it just the way it is! I hope that you like my Clean and Simple card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! I thank you for coming by and visiting today! Have a super Saturday! 🙂
