SIP Challenge 180 – Thank You!

Happy New Year!! I had a busy month in December and didn’t have any time to craft which was not a good thing! I did manage to get a little crafty time in yesterday with Andrea on FaceTime, we haven’t done that in a while! One of the big things that happened to me was on Christmas Day. I was on my way to see a friend and hit a pothole on the Southern State Parkway. It broke the spring and some other important parts in the front of the car which in turn sliced the tire off of the rim. $1,700 later the car was fixed. That’s a lot of damage from a pothole! Merry Christmas to me, not! Other than that I had a good month and I have missed you guys! I plan to attempt to get back to being a little more crafty in the new year!

To start off the year we have a new challenge over on the Stamp, Ink, Paper Blog. We took a little time off and to start we are making thank you cards!

I used a whole bunch of dies and no stamps to make my card! The greenery uses dies from the Concord & 9th Season Of Cheer, Just Because and Beautiful Branches Sets and they are cut from Early Espresso, Soft Sky, Garden Green, Pear Pizzaz and Old Olive. My rectangle is cut from a piece of Desert Storm 80lb with the die from the Concord & 9th Just Because Dies. I cut the season from Silver Glitter Card and the of thanks from a piece of Dark Grey 110lb, both of those dies are from the Concord & 9th Season of Cheer Set. The greenery is added to a panel of Light Grey 110lb with Glue Tube. I adhered the season and of thanks to the rectangle and then added it to the panel with 3M Foam Tape. The panel is then adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I love all of the greenery behind the sentiment and the way it stands out against the grey background! I hope that you like my Design Team Card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see what the rest of the Team has come up with and share your card with us in the gallery! Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope that your year is off to a great start! ๐Ÿ™‚

Fab Friday 149

Hello friends and a very happy Friday to you! I had a nice day yesterday tile shopping with my friend Kelly. We picked out the shower, wall, floor and shower pan tile for her new bathroom and stopped at Chick-fil-a for lunch. After that I cleaned a little and watched some movies for the rest of the night. I’m off to see the kiddos and my windshield is being replaced today. Tristan and I will hit up McDonald’s for lunch later… if she’s good! LOL! ๐Ÿ˜€

On another fun note it’s time for a new challenge over on the Fab Friday blog…

I was inspired by this card that Debby Hughes had done the other day. I loved the colors that she used and I just felt like stamping a background myself! I used the Hero Arts Color Layering Grateful Leaves Photopolymer Stamp Set andย Soft Pool, Wet Cement, Pumpkin Pie Dye and Mulled Wine Hybrid Ink along with my Mini MISTI so I could stamp the images more than once to make them nice and crisp. The veining in the leaves is all stamped in Cup O Joe and then the background is adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My greeting is cut from Gold Glitter Card with the Hero Arts Thank You Pair Fancy Dies. I added it to a circle cut from 65lb Vellum using the Hero Arts Circle Infinity Nested Frame Cuts Dies with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. The circle is then adhered to the card with thin slivers of 3M Foam Tape. A little bling was needed in the form of Little Things by Lucyย Shimmering Pool Jewels and The Colors of Fall Sequin Mix! Love the colors of the leaves! I hope that you like my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG for more inspiration and share your card with us in the gallery! Thanks for visiting and enjoy the rest of your Friday! ๐Ÿ™‚

Paper Craft Crew 309

Ahh, halfway through the week! My brother is away this week so I have had the kiddos longer than usual. But they really are so good so I don’t mind at all. I’m off to PA for the long weekend early tomorrow morning. Last trip of the season which is a bummer. But we’ll make the most of it! Can’t wait to be in the country air again! ๐Ÿ™‚

Wednesday means it’s time for a new challenge over on the Paper Craft Crew blog…

I’m really loving navy lately! I started my card by adhering a piece of Silver Glitter Card to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Next I used the Concord & 9th Snow Flurry Dies and the circle from the Concord & 9th Globe Greetings Dies to cut out the negative of the small snowflake from a piece of Blueprint Curious Metallic and adhered it to the card with 3m Foam Tape. My greeting is from the Concord & 9th Snow Flurry Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Simon Says Stamp Ultra Fine Steel Navy Embossing Powder onto a piece of Galvanized Curious Metallic and then trimmed into to strips. They are adhered to the card with 3M Foam Tape and E-Z Runner. A few Little Things by Lucy Nautical Sparkle Sequins and Pearls complete the card! Love the negative snowflake in the circle and the sparkly silver background! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Check out the rest of the Team’s cards over on the BLOG and share your take with us in the gallery. Thanks for visiting with me! Enjoy the rest of your Wednesday! ๐Ÿ™‚

Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th – Spring!

Hello and a very happy Monday to you all! Did you have a nice weekend?! Mine was pretty good. Friday night at Brian and Kim’s was a lot of fun. It was nice to see everyone! Saturday I worked on some projects and then Sunday I sort of took it easy. The weather was pretty nice, although I’m still waiting for Spring! It’s not here yet and I saw this morning that there may be more snow later in the week! Winter just seems to have forgotten that’s it’s overstayed its welcome! ๐Ÿ˜€

It’s release day over at Concord & 9th so that means that it’s time for a new challenge over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th blog…

To me Spring means nice bright colors and lots of flowers. But it also means that wedding season is starting. I decided to make a pretty simple card that would be perfect to give to the new couple! To start I heat embossed the large floral from the Concord & 9th Wonderful Florals Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder onto a piece of Ivory 110lb Card Stock. It’s cut out with the Coordinating Die and added to a card base of Ivory 110lb with 3M Foam Tape. The letters are cut out with one of the other Dies in the set from Silver Glitter Card and adhered to the floral panel with more 3M Foam Tape. Nice and simple but with lots of bling! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this month’s Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Spring Challenge! We hope that you will take some time to share your creation with us! Head over to the BLOG for more inspiration! Donโ€™t forget that you can follow us on Instagram and Facebook! Thanks for starting your week off here with me! Have a marvelous Monday! ๐Ÿ™‚

Rainbow Unicorn Birthday – Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th!

Almost to the weekend! Yay! It’s chilly here on Long Island again, where oh where is Spring?! I have been keeping really busy with lots of projects, sometimes a little too busy but it does make the days go by quick! Everyone by me is doing well. Jim and I will be going over to Brian and Kim’s tomorrow evening for a little get together. Their house is finished so there is a nice big space for us all to hang out in! It will be fun to see everyone, just like old times! ๐Ÿ˜€

Now, It’s time for my April Solo Post over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Challenge Blog! I used a new set and an older one that I thought were made for each other!

I started by stamping the rainbow from the Concord & 9th Rainbow Wishes Photopolymer Stamp Set in Sugarplum, Fish Tank, Jalapeno, Sunflower, Carrot and Lobster Ink using my MISIT so I could easily line up the individual stripes. The greeting is then stamped in Jet Black. My unicorn is from the Concord & 9th Unicorn Awesomeness Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Jet Black and colored in with Copics. I added some Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Glitter Gloss Pen to the mane and tail and then used the Coordinating Dies to cut him out. For the clouds I used one of the dies from the Rainbow Wishes Die Set and cut the clouds out from Silver Glitter Card. They are adhered to the card with E-Z Runner and trimmed. All that was left to do was to add the unicorn with 3M Foam Tape and the card is done! Who doesn’t like a card with a  rainbow and a unicorn?!

I hope that you like the card for my April Solo Post for the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog! Donโ€™t forget that you can follow us on Instagram and Facebook! We are getting ready to start our next challenge on April 9th, be sure to come back to see what the rest of my talented teammates have to inspire you! Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy the rest of your Tuesday! ๐Ÿ™‚

Freshly Made Sketches 317

Well, I woke up to 3 inches of snow this morning! No thanks! LOL! It was so windy and cold here yesterday too! Is it too early to start complaining that I can’t wait for Spring?! Despite the frigid day I still got a lot done. Last night we had an early Thirsty Thursday at my house, Heather was a little tipsy so I drove her home and then took her car over to her this morning. I’ll be running more errands and checking more things off my to-do list today! ๐Ÿ˜€

I managed to get a card made this morning for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches Challenge

I wanted to use the December My Monthly Hero Kit again. First I used the Hero Arts City Skyline Fancy Die, an add-on, to cut out a piece of Gold Glitter Card. I adhered it to a piece of Black 110lb that I rounded the corners on with my We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper. The moon and the starts are from the Stamp Set included and are heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. Onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I added a strip of the Gold Glitter Card and then adhered my panel with E-Z Runner and Fun Foam. My greeting is also from the Stamp Set and is heat embossed in more White Embossing Powder onto a strip of Blue Jay. A few Black 3D Foam Squares hold it in place. The bottom looked a little plain so I added a few Nautical Sparkle and Brushed Gold Sequins along with some dots with my Gold Signo Gel Pen. Love that fun City Scape Die and the unusual greeting! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches Challenge! Thank you for your visit and I wish you all a super Thursday! ๐Ÿ™‚

Peace Out!

Happy Monday! I hope that you all enjoyed your weekend! I was nice and busy for most of mine. Saturday I spent the day with Heather and George. Heather and I ran a bunch of errands and then we had dinner and watched a movie. Yesterday Jim came over and we put up my Christmas Tree and ran a few more errands. I finished off the evening with a little binge of White Collar on Netflix. This morning I”m off to watch Daniel & Tristan! Not a bad way to start off the week! ๐Ÿ˜€

Today I have a funny card to share with you! Jim had someone that was leaving his company so he wanted a card to wish them well and this is what I came up with! Onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I stamped the pine branches from the Sunny Studio Holiday Style Photopolymer Stamp Set in Jalapeรฑo and Noble Fir. The peace is cut from Gold Glitter Card using the Essentials by Ellen Holiday Words Dies. I adhered it and some Pretty Pink Posh Gold Confetti to the card with Multi-Matte Medium. On the inside I used the Concord & 9th Sophisticated Script Photopolymer Stamp Sets to stamp the Out! LOL! Get it… Peace Out! We thought it was pretty funny and so did the person that he gave the card to! I hope that you like today’s card! As always, thanks for starting your week off with me! Have a magnificent Monday! ๐Ÿ™‚

Paper Craft Crew 271

A somewhat gloomy day here yesterday weather wise but those are good days to get stuff done! I completed a bunch of things in the morning, including getting some gifts ordered. Taylor came by around 5:00 and took Cali over to my Parent’s to have dinner with them. I ran out to a few stores with Heather and got some more gifts out of the way. Heather made a quick dinner and when I got home Cali was over at my Parent’s because my Mum didn’t like that she was alone! I think someone really likes the little dog! This morning I have some cleaning to do and then Jim will be by later for dinner. ๐Ÿ˜€

I squeezed in a card lasst night and it’s for this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge…

I definitely took a simple approach! I started by stamping the Hero Arts Snowy Scene Wood Mount Stamp in Hero Arts Lilac to Grape Purple Ombre Ink onto a piece of Solar White 80lb and trimming it so it had no border. It’s adhered to another piece of Solar White 80lb with a piece of Silver Glitter Card adhered on the left. The panel is then added to a card base of Solar white 110lb Card Stock with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My greeting is from the Hero Arts Poster Christmas Carols Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts Platinum Embossing Powder onto a piece of 65lb Vellum. I used some Kool-Tak Clear Foam Tape to adhered to the card. I still love that Snowy Scene stamp, it’s perfect for making a quick card! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! You can see more inspiration over on the BLOG and be sure to share your card with us in the gallery! Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful Wednesday! ๐Ÿ™‚

SIP Challenge 128 – Let it Snow!

What a nice day I had yesterday with Daniel and Tristan! They were both really good and had a lot of fun playing with Cali. She was a little nervous at first but warmed up to them after a while. It was also nice to see my Brother, we don’t get to see each other much anymore. I was home by 4:00 and got a lot of crafting done last night! This one of two posts for today! Bonus Tuesday! ๐Ÿ˜€

This morning’s post is for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

Now we all know that I’m not a big fan of snow, except on a card! I started with a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and covered the front with a piece of Blue Jay. My snowflakes are cut from White Glitter Paper using snowflake dies from Simon Says Stamp. I adhered them to the card with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. The greeting is cut from a piece of Solar White 110lb three times with the Simon Says Stamp Merry & Bright Dies and adhered to the card with Multi-Matte Medium. I added some Spectrum Noir Clear Glitter Brush Pen to the greeting and used my White Signo Gel Pen to add some more “snow”. I love the sparkly snowflakes against the blue background! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! There is plenty more inspiration over on the BLOG so go over and check it out. We hope that you will share your card with us in the gallery! Thanks for coming by this morning! Be sure to come back at 11:00 for a sneak peek at Concord & 9th’s December release! Until then have a great Tuesday morning! ๐Ÿ™‚

Paper Craft Crew 269

Happy pre-turkey day! I had a nice time in Manhattan yesterday visiting with Anna and Jane at The Ink Pad! I love that store!! So much fun stuff and I was really good and didn’t get anything, although that was really hard! LOL! Last night I went over to Jim’s and we worked on a few projects in the garage and then went out to grab some dinner at the diner. This morning I had a few phone calls to make before I get started on a whole bunch of errands. It’s going to be a busy day! ๐Ÿ˜€

Today’s card is for this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge…

I do love a vintage looking card but I’m not really great at making them, anyhow, this is what I came up with. The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. For the background I used a piece of paper from the DCWV Maps, Text & Ledgers 8×8 Paper Pad and adhered that to a piece of Desert Storm 80lb. My pine branches and berries are from the Essential by Ellen Poinsettia & Pine Die Set and are cut from Classic Cherry and Noble Fir. I adhered them to card with E-Z Runner. The joy is from the Essentials by Ellen Holiday Words Die Set and is cut from Silver Glitter Card. To add that to the card I used 3M Foam Tape. It needed just a little more sparkle so I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Rose Gold Sequins. Not super vintage but that paper definitely helps! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and share your with us by entering it in the gallery! Thanks for stoping by! Have a wonderful Wednesday! ๐Ÿ™‚
