SIP Challenge 170 – Colors!

Hello everyone! I hope that you enjoyed your weekend and that your week is off to a good start! I can’t believe that it’s October already! It’s been cooler here but not cool enough to put away the shorts just yet! I’ll be off to PA at some point this week for Columbus Day weekend. Last weekend up there for the season until next Spring. Boy did this Summer fly by! πŸ˜€

Another Tuesday another challenge over on the Stamp, Ink, Paper blog…

I pulled out one of the little sets from Concord & 9th’s September release to make my card. I started by stamping the joyful from the Merry & Bright Photopolymer Stamp Set in Juice Box and then fussy cut it. Onto a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I stamped it again in Minty Fresh to help with my placement of the pine branches. They are stamped in Minty Fresh and Noble Fir. I then adhered the fussy cut joyful with 3M Foam Tape and used my Stylus and the Juice Box Ink to add the little dots. Summer simple card with lots of white space! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! Head on over to the BLOG for more inspiration and share your creation with us in the gallery! Thanks for coming by and spending some time with me today! Enjoy the rest of your Tuesday! πŸ™‚

TGIF Challenge 179

Hi everyone and a happy Saturday to you! I had a nice day with Daniel and Tristan. Daniel had picture day at school so I made sure that he looked all spiffy before he left! Last night I went over to Jim’s for dinner, he made homemade pizzas and they were delicious! Not sure what I’m up to today but I’m going to see if I can squeeze in some crafty time! πŸ˜€

I was playing around the other day with Distress Oxides and and made two backgrounds, one on Solar White 80lb and another on Bristol Smooth. I ended up using the one on the Bristol Smooth to make a card. I noticed that they have a background challenge over on the TGIF Challenge and I think this card fits the bill!

Here are are the two backgrounds side by side, the one on the left is Solar White 80lb and the one on the left is Bristol Smooth…

I made them by using my Mini Ink Blending Tool to add Peacock Feathers and Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide Ink. To get the spots I flicked some water onto the panels and then dried them off with a paper towel. For my greeting I used the Concord & 9th Hearts & Love Dies to cut out a piece of Super Gold Curious Metallic and Gold Metallic Vellum. The thin love is adhered to the outline with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive and then to the card with Kool-Tank Clear Foam Tape. The hearts are adhered with Multi-Matte Medium. Super simple card but I do love those Distress Oxide Inks for making a quick and fabulous background! I hope that you enjoyed my card for the TGIF Challenge! Thanks for spending some of your Saturday with me! πŸ™‚

Fab Friday 147

Another early day with the kiddos but it’s Friday!! I spent the day on Wednesday looking for a new clothes dryer. We have some scratch and dent places around here but most of the stuff there looked like it fell off of the back of a truck doing about 80 MPH! LOL! I settled on a new one, it ended up only being about $100 more than one of the banged up ones. Not sure what’s going on for the weekend, but that’s ok, I do like a surprise from time to time! πŸ˜€

In my effort to try and get back into creating mode I have a card to share with you today for the new Fab Friday challenge…

More fun with the new release from Concord & 9th! I started my card by heat embossing the large snowflake from the Concord & 9th Snow Flurry Photopolymer Stamp Set twice in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder onto a piece of Blue Print Curious Metallic and then used the Coordinating Die to cut it out. My greeting is also from the Concord & 9th Snow Flurry Set and is heat embossed in Simon Says Stamp Ultra Fine Steel Navy Embossing Powder onto a piece of Super Gold Curious Metallic. I added a few of the snow flakes and then used the rectangle die from the Concord & 9th Just Because Dies to cut it out. I also cut it from a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock to frame it. The snowflake is adhered to a card base of Solar White 110lb. I used another die from the Concord & 9th Just Because Dies to cut out the pine branches from Gold Metallic 27lb Vellum. Some 3M Foam Tape is added to the back of the greeting and the pine branches are added tot he back before it’s added to the card. To finish it off I scattered some Little Things by Lucy Nautical Sparkle Sequins and a few Hero Arts Clear Gems. I love that Steel Navy Embossing Powder and the blue and gold together! I hope that you like my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and get some more inspiration and share your card with us in the gallery! Thanks for visiting with me today, I hope that you all have a fabulous Friday! πŸ™‚

Paper Craft Crew 308

Hello there! Two days in a row! LOL! Woo hoo! It was a gloomy rainy day here, had to take Daniel to the bus stop in the car. Tristan and I had a nice day playing in the house. We both took a little nap on the couch! Last night I went into the Stampin’ Galley to make today’s card and had a little accident, I cut my middle finger with the tip of a pair of scissors and it bled like crazy all over the card! After I got it to stop bleeding and the fainting feeling passed I went back in and remade the card. I will refrain from sharing a pic of the Merry and Bloody card with you! LOL! πŸ˜€

That card is for this week’s Paper Craft Crew sketch challenge…

I used an impressive amount of goodies for such a simple card! I started by die cutting my tag using the Concord & 9th Holiday Cheer Tags Dies, the banner using the Concord & 9th Holly Jolly Banner Dies and the tree using the Concord & 9th Cozy Christmas Dies all from different shades of Grey 110lb. The tree is from the Concord & 9th Cozy Christmas Photopolymer Stamp Set and the greeting from the Concord & 9th Merry & Bright Photopolymer Stamp Set, top part stamped on the tag and the bottom on the banner, all heat embossed in Simon Says Stamp Antique Gold Embossing Powder. I also stamped the pine leaves from the Concord & 9th Merry & Bright Photopolymer Stamp Set in Smoke onto the tag. My snowflake is from the Concord & 9th Snow Flurry Dies and is cut from a piece of Silver Glitter Paper from the Concord & 9th Neutrals Glitter Paper Pack. The snowflake and banner are adhered to the card with Glue Tube and the tag and tree with 3M Foam Tape. A little sprinkle of Pretty Pink Posh Pewter, Gold and Silver Sequins complete the card! I do love all of the different shades of grey with the gold embossing! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! I’m sure that I’ll remember making this one for a while! LOL! Stop by the BLOG to see the rest of the Team’s cards and share your with us in the gallery! Thanks for visiting with me today! SIP Challenge 169 – Background Stamps!

Another Monday done! I had a nice time with the kiddos and Tristan was a delight! That’s not always the case lately! Terrible two’s are no joke! LOL! I took part in the crafty garage sale on Saturday and managed to send a lot of crafty goodness to new homes! I also got to see some peeps from the store and that was really nice! I’m still cleaning and organizing the Stampin’ Galley but it’s coming along nicely! πŸ˜€

It’s time for a new challenge over on the Stamp, Ink, Paper blog…

I got to play with some of the goodies from this month’s Concord & 9th release! I started my card by stamping pieces from the Concord & 9th Cozy Christmas Photopolymer Stamp Set in Simon Says Stamp Lake Shores and Rosie Cheeks Ink using my MISTI onto some Solar White 80lb. That is then adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My greeting is cut from a piece of Glitter Paper from the Concord & 9th Neutrals Glitter Pack and two pieces of Solar White 110lb Card Stock using the Concord & 9th Merry & Bright Die. I used Multi-Purpose Spray to adhere them together and then added it to the card. A sprinkling of Shimmer Pool Gems from Little Things by Lucy finish off the card. I love the nice soft colors and big bold sentiment! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Background Stamps Challenge! SIP Challenge 168 – Tic-Tac-Toe

Hi there! Did you all have a nice weekend?! I did! Saturday night I had dinner with Jim and Sunday I went into Manhattan to see my friends Jon and Mary and then met up with Kim. We had a quick lunch and then she took me to see the final performance of the play Carousel on Broadway for my Birthday! It was a beautiful day too so we wandered around a bit. I ended up walking seven miles! A good weekend indeed! πŸ˜€

It’s Tuesday and time for a new challenge over on the Stamp, Ink, Paper blog…

I went diagonally from the bottom left to the top right! I started my card by stamping the background using the Concord & 9th Happy Plaids Photopolymer Stamp Set in Merman and Freshly Cut Grass using my MISTI onto Solar White 80lb. Next I die cut the tag and pocket from Kraft and Vellum. Onto both I heat embossed my greeting from the Concord & with Holiday Cheer Tags Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder. A piece of Fun Foam is adhered to the back of the Vellum pocket. I added Gold Thread and some pine that I die cut from Noble Fir using a die from the Concord & 9th Happy Holidays Label Dies. For my card base I added a piece of Kraft to Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The background is adhered and then the tag. A simple and fun card using my favorite colors for the Holidays! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! You can stop by the BLOG for more inspiration and we hope to see your card in the gallery! Paper Craft Crew 307

Happy Wednesday to you and a Happy Birthday to me! LOL! I’m looking forward to having a nice relaxing day today and seeing my favorite person later! The rain did finally let up for a bit yesterday and the sun tried to peek out but it wasn’t as successful as I had hoped! I managed to get some more organizing done in the Stampin’ Galley and made a card! Not bad for a Tuesday! πŸ˜€

That card that I made is for this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge…

Ahh… coffee!! I dug out a few Concord & 9th Sets and Dies to create my card! To start I heat embossed the Concord & 9th Butty Burst Turnabout Photopolymer Stamp in WOW! Rich Pale Gold Embossing Powder onto a piece of Grey 110lb. While I had it in my Mini MISTI I stamped my greeting from the Concord & 9th Grateful for Everything Photopolymer Stamp Set in Storm Cloud. Next I used the Concord & 9th Confetti Card Dies to get the fun pinked edge around my panel. My coffee cups are from the Concord & 9th Cozy Up Photopolymer Stamp Set and are heat embossed in more Rich Pale Gold Embossing Powder. I used the Coordinating Dies to cut out the cups and the steam die to cut out some White Gold Curious Metallic. The panel is added to a card base of Grey 110lb. I used 3M Foam Tape to add the cups and Multi-Matte Medium for the steam. For a little more sparkle I coated the cup with Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen. A nice simple, fun card!

I hope that you enjoyed my little card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Inspiration Challenge! We hope that you will share your project with us in the gallery so head over to the blog for more inspiration from the Team! Thanks for coming by to see me today! Enjoy the rest of your Wednesday! πŸ™‚

SIP Challenge 167 – Large Sentiment!

Hi there and a happy Tuesday to you all! I hope that you all had a nice weekend, I did! Although, it has been raining here since Saturday night and looks it will be raining through the rest of the week. Thankfully I have been getting a little more of my MOJO back so spending time in the Stampin’ Galley will be fun! I also got some Polychromos Pencils and Alcohol Ink and I need to try them! LOL! πŸ˜€

Since it’s Tuesday it’s time for a new challenge over on the Stamp, Ink, Paper blog…

I have a few of the Concord & 9th Turnabout Stamps that I haven’t had the chance to play with so I pulled one out to have a little play! My background is stamped on a piece of Solar White 80lb with Hippo, Freshly Cut Grass, Merman and Fresh Lavender Ink using the Concord & 9th Lovely Blossoms Photopolymer Stamp and my MISTI. It’s adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. For my greeting I used the FRIEND from the Concord & 9th Posie Fill-In Die and cut it out from Black 110lb. It’s adhered to a piece of Vellum with Glue Tube. To add it to the card I cut some Black 3D Foam Squares and hid them behind the letters. Just a few Basic Jewels Rhinestones scattered across from top left to lower right complete the card! I really do love those Turnabout Stamps, you can make awesome backgrounds in any color that you want!

I hope that you enjoyed my card! Be sure to stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s projects and share yours with us in the gallery! Thanks so much for visiting and have a terrific Tuesday! πŸ™‚

Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th – Color Inspiration!

Hello there my friends! I hope that you are enjoying your weekend! It’s a little rainy here so I have been spending some time cleaning out the Stampin’ Galley. I’ll be participating in a craft sale on September 22nd in Oceanside to help with my ongoing purge! I’ll share more details with you as we get closer! I think that there are 12 of us in total so there will be some great goodies for sale! πŸ˜€

It’s release day over at Concord & 9th so it’s time for a new challenge over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th blog…

Some nice soft Fall colors! I started my card by creating the background using the Plaid Background Photopolymer Stamp and my MISTI. It’s stamped in Mint Julep and Cup O Joe onto a piece of Solar White 80lb. The background is adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Next I used the Lovely Blossoms Dies to cut out a piece of Calypso Coral and Early Espresso. I adhered the Calypso Coral die cut to another piece of Calypso Coral and used Glue Tube to add back in the you are lovely and frame. The excess is trimmed off with my Scissors. The tails are two pieces of Wood Textures 6×6 Paper. I added them behind the die cut and the added a piece of Fun Foam. To soften the background a bit I trimmed a piece of Vellum to 4″ x 5 1/4″ and and added that to the back of the die cut and then adhered the whole thing to the card with E-Z Runner Ultra Strong. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Espresso, Lemon Drop and Lime Sorbet Sequins and a die cut flower also from the Lovely Blossoms Dies cut from a piece of So Saffron complete the card!

Thankful Leaf – Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th!

Happy September! Hopefully the warm weather stays around for a while longer even though technically the Summer is over. I had a great week up at the lake last week, a nice way to end the Summer for sure. I started watching my Niece and Nephew again, Daniel goes to full day kindergarten so it’s just me and Tristan for most of the day. I’m not looking forward to the cooler weather at all! How bout you?! πŸ˜€

It’s time for my August Solo Post over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Challenge Blog! The Thankful Leaves Dies are definitely my favorite from last month’s release! I love that leaf die so I used it again on today’s card. I was watching one of Jennifer McGuire’s videos and decided that I wanted to try one of her shadowbox cards! I did all of the steps to make the box for the card using Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. For the die cut inside I used just the outline of the Leaf Die. For my background I stamped the Thankful Leaves Turnabout Photopolymer Stamp in Freshly Cut Grass and a Sunflower, twice with each color, onto Solar White 80lb. The panel is trimmed to fit inside the card. On the front of the card I used the Leaf Die again with the inside piece to cut out some Lime Glitter Paper from the Summer Glitter Paper Pack. It’s adhered to the card front with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. Along the bottom I stamped the THANKFUL, also from the Thankful Leaves Turnabout in Freshly Cut Grass. To go inside my die cut leaf on the inside of the card I used a piece of Heat Resistant Acetate and heat embossed another greeting in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder. It’s adhered to the back of the die cut panel with Scor-Tape. All that was left to do was assemble the card. I’ll definitely be making more shadowbox cards, love the way they look!

I hope that you like the card for my September Solo Post for the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog! Don’t forget that you can follow us on Instagram and Facebook! We are getting ready to start our next challenge on September 9th, be sure to come back to see what the rest of my talented teammates have to inspire you! Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy the rest of your Wednesday!!
