Oh Happy Day Balloons

Oh Happy Day Balloons

I have been wanting to have a lazy Sunday morning for a while so that’s just what I had this morning! I woke up around 8:00 but laid in bed reading Apple News on my iPad. A good way to start the day. Yesterday was nice, Taylor came by in the evening and we grabbed some dinner. She was off to Manhattan with some friends after that. I watched TV and tried to find a book to read. Any suggestions for a really good book? I’m waiting for the new Dan Brown one but that’s not until October! How is your weekend going? 😀

Ok, I apologize for my obesession with the Concord & 9th Happy Balloons Set! I have another card to share with you today using it! It’s such a great set for quick cards and just some stamping! I do love to just do some stamping! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I stamped the balloons from the set in Jalapeño, Mermaid and Sugarplum in the upper left corner. My greeting is from the Concord & 9th Enjoy it All Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Black Licorice using my Mini MISTI, I like to use to the MISTI to make sure that my sentiments are lined up! For the strings I used a Coptic Multi-liner and my ruler to draw them in. Some Pretty Pink Posh Amethyst, Lucky and Sea Breeze Sequins add a little sparkle and finish the card. Another quick simple and fun card with not too many supplies! I hope that you like today’s card! Thanks for spending some of your Sunday with me! Enjoy the rest of your day! 🙂

Magic Unicorn – Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th

Magic Unicorn – Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th

Another productive day yesterday! I got a lot of things checked off my to-do list and enjoyed the weather. It’s supposed to be rainy here this morning but clear up by the afternoon. Last night was a relaxing TV and read a book kind of night. Today I have some more around the house things to do and then when the weather clears up I think I will go and take a ride somewhere! 😀

It’s time for my Solo Post over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog! You can also see this post over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog at 11:00AM today. Be sure and stop by there too! It’s Concord & 9th’s 2 year anniversary this month so they will have lots of fun things panned! Look forward to celebrating along with them!

My card starts with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I heat embossed the Concord & 9th Sunshine Turnabout Photopolymer Stamp with Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder onto a piece of Soft Sky and trimmed it to cover the front of the card. The unicorn is from the Concord & 9th Unicorn Awesomeness Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black. I colored in the horn, mane, tail and hooves with Copics and used the Coordinating Dies to cut it out. My clouds are cut out with another one of the Dies from the Unicorn Set. I adhered the back one with E-Z Runner and the top one with 3M Foam Tape. The unicorn is added and the greeting, also from the Unicorn Set is stamped in the lower left. That unicorn really is a great image and I especially like him with the sun rays and clouds! I hope that you like the card for my August Solo Post for the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog! Don’t forget that you can follow us on Instagram and Facebook! We are getting ready to start our next challenge on August 9th, be sure to come back to see what the rest of my talented teammates have to inspire you for that one and help us celebrate two years of fantastic and innovative products from Concord & 9th! A very happy Friday to all of you! It was another beautiful day, especially since I was in Manhattan for the early part of the day! I saw my friend Ella in the morning and then went down to meet up with my friend Chantal. I went up to her office and got to see my friend Maureen for a bit. We got all caught up and then Chantal and I headed out to lunch. We went to Empellón and had amazing guacamole and tacos! I managed to make it back to Penn and caught the 1:14 train back out to the Island. There wasn’t anyone to pick me up so I walked back home, only about 25 minutes, not bad. I could use the exercise too! Later on Jim came by and we changed the cabin air filter in his daughter’s car and got some BK for dinner. Taylor came by and hung out with us for a bit and then we watched a little TV. I’m going to make an attempt to get some projects done today! We’ll see how that goes! 😀

I have been having fun with stencils and the stencil brush lately so I have another card to share with you today using them! To my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I added some Soft Granite Ink over the Hero Arts Map Grid Stencil using my Stencil Brush. Down the left side is a piece of Black Glitter Washi Tape. I used the Hero Arts Infinity Circles Dies to cut out a piece of Desert Storm. The greeting is from the Hero Arts City Adventure Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped it onto the circle and two of the coffee cups from the same set onto Solar White 80lb. The bands on the cups are colored in with Copics and I cut them out with my Scissors and adhered them to the circle with 3M Foam Tape. The circle is then adhered to the card with E-Z Runner and Fun Foam. That’s it! Another simple card stepped up a little with the fun stenciled background! I hope that you like today’s card! Thanks so much for stopping by and spending some of your Friday here! Have a fantastic day! 🙂

Detailed Blooms Two Ways – Concord & 9th May Guest Designer

Detailed Blooms Two Ways – Concord & 9th May Guest Designer

Yay for Friday! It was a pretty nice day here yesterday, sunny and warm enough for some shorts! I worked on a few things in the morning, took a quick ride to Target with Stephanie and then did some laundry. Another fun and exciting day! LOL! After dinner I watched Valentine’s Day, I know, a little late, but is it never too late for a little does of love! This morning I think I will go over to see Heather and get her to make me some breakfast, yup… that sounds like a good plan! 😀

Today I have my last set of cards to share with you as a Guest Designer for Concord & 9th. We are all featuring the Enjoy it All Stamps and Detailed Blooms Dies! Love them both and I have a few other examples of the sets HERE and HERE. You can see the sets below…

So without further ado lets get to today’s two cards! Up first is a nice simple one! I die cut the Detailed Blooms Die from some Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and used my Copics to color it in. It’s adhered to a card base of more Solar White 110lb with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. My greeting is from the Enjoy it All Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Black Licorice and the card is done! Super simple card but coloring in the die cut gives it some big impact!

My second card uses two of the Detailed Blooms Die Cuts and they are cut from Opal Curious Metallic Card Stock. I adhered them with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Next up I used the Globe Greetings Dies to cut out a circle of Solar White 110lb. I stamped the greeting and the flowers from the Globe Greetings Photopolymer Stamp Set in Frayed Leaf, Forest Glades, Morning Frost, Evening Gray and Jet Black. The circle is then adhered to the card with 3m Foam Tape and I added some Sequins and Pearls to give it a little sparkle! I think this one would make a fun Wedding card, don’t you?!

I hope that you can see how versatile all of these products are from my cards today! I had a really great time Guest Designing for Concord & 9th this month and I hope that they will have me back again! Make sure that you stop by the BLOG and check out the other Guest Designer’s projects! Thank you so much for coming by to see what I’ve been up to! Have a fantastic Friday! 🙂

Just a gorgeous day here yesterday! I charged up the MacBook and sat outside on the patio for most of the day. It was warm with a nice breeze, perfect! Today is supposed to be a bit warmer and I’m fine with that! I’ll be sitting outside again! I went over to have dinner with Heather and George last night and it was delicious! The espresso martini was pretty good too! We sat outside and enjoyed a lovely evening! Today I have some orders to get out, yay! 😀

I ventured into the Stampin’ Galley yesterday and one of the cards that I made is for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

I did another single layer card! Up in the left corner I stamped some flowers and leaves from the Concord & 9th Wildflower Photopolymer Stamp Set in Memento Tuxedo Black. I masked off the large flower and stamped the rest around it. To color them in I used my Copics and then used the C01 Marker to put a light gray outline around the cluster. My greeting is from the Concord & 9th All About You Photopolymer Stamp Set and is also stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black using my Mini MISTI so I could double stamp it to make it nice and bold. I added just a few Enamel Dots and the card is done! I love that greeting and the fun bright colors of the flowers! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players Challenge! Thanks for stopping by and visiting with me today! Have a fun Thursday! 🙂

Oyster & Pearl – Hero Arts

Oyster & Pearl – Hero Arts

Well, it rained all day yesterday just as they promised so I had myself a crafty day! I also got a few movies in too. It’s Mother’s Day today so Happy Mother’s Day to all of you Mom’s out there! I hope that you will be spending the day with your loved ones! I’ll be seeing my Mum and maybe the kiddies too!

I had this card in my head for a while and it finally came together yesterday! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I spattered the front in Heidi Swapp Gold, Bronzer, Navy and Teal Color Shine and set it aside to dry. My oyster is from the Hero Arts May My Monthly Hero Kit, I stamped it in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored it in with Copics. The greeting is heat embossed in Hero Arts Platinum Embossing Powder onto a piece of 48lb Vellum. I cut the oyster out with the Coordinating Frame Cut and the greeting with the Hero Arts Infinity Circles Dies. The oyster is adhered to the Vellum and to the card with 3M Foam Tape. To give it a little more sparkle I added some Sequins from the Little Things by Lucy Nautical, Platinum and Brushed Gold Mixes and a little Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen to the pearl. A nice simple card with a really neat greeting! I hope that you like today’s card! I thank you very much for spending some of your day with me! Have a fantastic Sunday! 🙂

Fab Friday 112

Fab Friday 112

A very happy Friday to you! I had another productive day yesterday. I did some cleaning, some laundry and played with Tristan and Daniel. We all had dinner together at my Parent’s. I came home for a bit and then went over to meet Heather and Stephanie at Brian & Kim’s for Thirsty Thursday. So good to see the peeps! This morning I’m going with Heather to drop off her car for inspection and then we are going to have some breakfast. A fun way to start the day!

This is one of two posts from me today! I’ll have another post shortly with a fun announcement!

It’s a Fab Friday this week and we have some colors to inspire you…

I got my May My Monthly Hero Kit the other day and these colors seemed to work perfectly with it! To start I used the Stencil in the Kit and some Blueprint Sketch and Seedless Preserves Distress Ink along with my Mini Ink Blending Tool to add color to a piece of Solar White 80ob. That is then adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The mermaid is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored in with Copics, I cut her out with the Coordinating Die along with some coral and seaweed from a piece of Calypso Coral. The greeting is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black onto another piece of Solar White 80lb that I cut out with the Hero Arts Infinity Circles Dies. All of the die cuts are adhered to the circle and the circle is adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Blue Lagoon and Amethyst Sequins and some Hero Arts Clear Gems finish the card! I do love that stenciled background, so easy and such a nice way to showcase the mermaid! Freshly Made Sketches 286

Freshly Made Sketches 286

Happy Friday my friends! Yesterday was my last day at the Store for a while. I need to regroup and take a little time to do some other things that I have been putting off. The on-line Store will stay open and I hope to get some more products up there soon. I want to thank all of you for your continued support and for stopping by here everyday to see what I have been doing. This blog started off as a way for me to share my hobby and has grown into so much more and I really can’t express how much it means to me. So many of you take the time to leave a comment everyday and I have even had the pleasure of meeting some of you in person. Even the ones that I have never met I feel like I know personally. You all share so much with me and each other! I look forward to making my card and typing my post everyday and that will not change. As a thank you I’m going to have a little sale over the weekend just for you guys, more on that tomorrow! I finished off my day yesterday with a visit with my buddy Daniel and sweet Tristan. After that it was over to Jim’s for dinner with his Mom and daughter including a little Fro-Yo after and some TV. Today I have a lot of planning and organizing to do, fun Friday! LOL! 😀

I have two posts for you today. There will be another one at 11:00am! This one is for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

A super simple card! I stamped the candles from the Concord & 9th Eat Cake & Celebrate Photopolymer Stamp Set in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored them in with Copics. The Coordinating Die cut them out. A piece of Black is cut out with the Hero Arts Infinity Circles Dies. I adhered the candles to the circle with 3D Foam Squares. My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the greeting from the same set stamped again in Memento Tuxedo Black. All that was left to do was to adhere the circle to the card with more 3D Foam Squares! I do love a nice simple Birthday card, especially one that would work for anyone! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches Challenge. Come back at 11:00am to my Solo Post for the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Design Team! In the mean time enjoy your Friday morning! 🙂

Paper Players 341

Paper Players 341

I managed to have a nice productive day at the Store, it’s nice to have a day to myself but I do miss Renee. I spoke to her last night and she got all of her stuff done for the baby shower that she needed to! My Parent’s came by the Store with Daniel for a bit, that was a nice surprise! I also got to see him when I got home. I had some left over Greek food for dinner and then spoke to Andrew for a bit. Some TV and that was the day for me. Today I have some peeps coming in to make the step card and then I’m off to a friends for dinner tonight! 😀

I have my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge to share with you today…

I had gotten one of the add-ons from the April My Monthly Hero Kit release and hadn’t inked it up yet so I decided to use it on today’s card! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I adhered a strip of dark peach down the center. On my panel I stamped the image and greeting from the Hero Arts Dress Up Stamp & Cut Photopolymer Stamp Set in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored the girl in with Copics. The dress is a piece of Echo Park Summer Party Blazing Floral 12×12 Paper that I cut with the dress die in the set. I folded it and adhered it to the card with E-Z Runner. The panel is then adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Rose Gold Sequins complete the card! It’s a nice fun set and the pleated dress is pretty cool! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge! Thanks you for visiting with me today! Have a fun Thursday! 🙂
