Paper Craft Crew 272

It has become seriously cold here! I woke up to 20 degrees this morning and lots of wind! Poor Cali was not happy on her walk this morning and neither was I! LOL! Yesterday I ran some errands then met up with Heather and Steph after dinner so that they could go and vote for Fire Commissioner. Heather and I stopped by to see Brian and Kim’s house, they are expanding it out to the side and up. It was pretty neat to see the construction, the shell went up really fast! When I got back home Taylor was here snuggling with Cali. Her and I ran a few more errands and then I called it a night. Not sure what I’m up to this morning but I know there will be some laundry in there somewhere! ๐Ÿ˜€

I did a little FaceTime crafting with Andrea yesterday and made my card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge…

I started my card by reaching for the Hero Arts December My Monthly Hero Kit. The vase is heat embossed in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder onto a piece of Canson 140lb Watercolor Card, colored in with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens and cut out with the Coordinating Die. I used the lattice window die to cut out a piece of Gold Mirror Card. For my background I spattered some Heidi Swapp Gold and Teal Color Shine onto a piece of Desert Storm 80lb and adhered it to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The two strips of patterned paper are from the DCWV Mariposa 12×12 Paper Pad. I heat embossed my greeting in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder on the teal strip and flagged both ends of the butterfly strip before adhering them to the card. Some Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive hold the lattice window in place and a little 3M Foam Tape secures the vase. All that was left to do was to add a few Pretty Pink Posh Sea Breeze and Gold Sequins and the card is done! I love the December My Monthly Hero Kit, so many fun things to use in it! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and enter your take on the sketch in the gallery! Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful Wednesday! ๐Ÿ™‚

Paper Players 363

Another Wednesday under our belts! I had a semi-productive day. Got a few things done in the morning and then did some laundry. It was another warm day, we had a little rain in the evening for a few minutes but all in all a good day! I stopped by my friend’s house and dropped off their newly formatted MacBook and helped them finish setting it up. The rest of the evening was spent relaxing and watching a little TV. I did watch the new episode of This is Us yesterday morning, man is that a good show! Today I’m off to spend some time with Sue! ๐Ÿ˜€

I got me a new Hero Set yesterday and decided to use it to make my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

I began by stamping the images from the Hero Arts Color Layering Poppy Photopolymer Stamp Set in Pale Tomato, Raspberry Jam, Red Royal and Black. The closed ones are stamped in Forever Green. I used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out and then stamped the stems in Forever Green onto piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My card base is the same and has a piece of paper from the DCWV Maps, Text & Ledgers Paper Pad adhered as the background. Some Fun Foam and E-Z Runner holds the panel with the flowers to the card. My greeting is from the same set and is stamped in Black, I flagged the ends and adhered it to the card with 3M Foam Tape. I love the poppies and the unexpected vintage paper for the background! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Paper Players Sketch Challenge! Thank you for visiting! Have an awesome Thursday! ๐Ÿ™‚

Paper Players 360

Well, I had a wonderful time in PA! I needed to get away from everything for a bit and that is one of the best places to do just that! It’s so peaceful and relaxing at Jim’s house up there. We spent some time antiquing, the afternoons by the lake and the evenings around the fire. I got to meet most of his family and they were great! I had so much fun! The ride home yesterday morning was actually pretty good despite the rain all the way. Traffic was light so I guess I’ll take the rain. I stopped by Jim’s for a little bit after I got home and then came back and had dinner with my Parent’s. The rest of my evening was spent doing a little more organizing with a little TV thrown in for good measure! I hope that you all had a great weekend too! I missed you all for the past two days! ๐Ÿ˜€

To start off this week I have my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

The card starts with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My background and piece of notebook paper are from the DCWV Maps, Text & Ledgers Paper Pad. I used the Simon Says Stamp Notebook Edges Die to cut the left side and adhered it on top of the map at an angle. The flowers are from the Simon Says Stamp Flowers on My Mind Photopolymer Stamp Set and are stamped in Pale Blush Pink and Green Apple onto Desert Storm 80lb. I cut them out with the Coordinating Dies and adhered them in the upper right. For the greeting I stamped the letters from the Simon Says Stamp Game Tiles Letters Photopolymer Stamp Set in Black onto die cut pieces of paper from the My Mind’s Eye Necessities Wood Paper Pad and adhered them to the card with 3D Foam Squares. I love the Scrabble Tiles and the map paper, makes for a fun card don’t you think?! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Paper Players Challenge! Thank you so much for starting your week off with me! Have a marvelous Monday! ๐Ÿ™‚

Freshly Made Sketches 289

Happy Saturday! What was supposed to be a rainy day turned out to be a very lovely day! It was partly cloudy but a lot sunny! I got a few things done around the house in the morning and then went out with Michael for the afternoon. We went all over, Pizza for lunch, A.C. Moore, Old Navy, Kohl’s and finally Target. I took him back to Sue’s and then came home and had dinner with my Parents. Taylor stopped by briefly and then I had some TV time. I’m going to get some more things done around the house and this morning and then who knows what the rest of the day will bring?! ๐Ÿ˜€

My little bit of craftiness that I have to share with you today is for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches Challenge

Theย card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I took a piece of paper from the DCWV Mariposa 12×12 Paper Pad and heat embossed my greeting from the Concord & 9th By Your Side Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder. The paper is thenย adhered to a piece of Island Indigo and then adhered to the card. I die cut the butterfly from a piece of Gold Glitter Card Stock using the Concord & 9th Floral & Flutter Dies. It’s adhered to the card with 3M Foam Tape. It needed a little something elseย so I took my Signo Gold Gel Pen and added some dots to the patterned paper. I love the nice subtle pattern on the paper and that butterfly is still one of my all time favorites! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches Challenge! Thanks so much for coming by today! Have a stupendous Saturday! ๐Ÿ™‚

SIP Challenge 100 – Card Makers Choice and Blog Candy!

What does one do when it’s Monday and rains all day?! Why you stay inside and get some crafting done, do a little cleaning, spend some time with the child and run a few errands. I spoke to a bunch of peeps and got the shoe portion of my closet cleaned out! There was a little TV thrown in there for good measure. I will be picking Heather up again from the Car Wash this morning. This time it’s the inside! Maybe we will go and get a little breakfast?! ๐Ÿ˜€

Today is a pretty big day for the Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! We have reached our 100th challenge!! That’s a lot of challenges! There will be a bunch of blog candy given out for the winners of this challenge so make a card and play along! Did I mention that it a nice easy one too?! Card Makers Choice…

I dug out some stuff that I haven’t used in a while! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. For the background I used a piece of Ivory 110lb and added a piece of DCWV Mariposa 12×12 Paper to the bottom. Around the top of the patterned paper is a piece of Stampin’ Up! 7/8″ Cotton Ribbon with a piece of Papertrey Ink Natural Twine tied in a bow. The panel is then adhered to the card with E-Z Runner Ultra Strong. My flower and leaves are die cut from Tangelo Twist and Island Indigo using The Ton Petal Cut Peonies Dies. I adhered the leaves to the card with Multi-Purpose Spray and adhered the flower to a piece of Gold Vellum withย the same. Using my Scissors I trimmed around the flower and adhered it to the card Kool-Tak Clear Foam Tape. My greeting is from the Mama Elephant Labeled Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts Gold onto a piece of Ivory, trimmed out with my Scissors and adhered to the card with 3M Foam Tape. I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Ocean Spray and Gold Sequins just for a little sparkle! The inspiration for the card came from the patterned paper and I love that Gold Vellum! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for the Stamp, Ink, Paper 100th Challenge! We hope that you will play along by entering your card in the gallery! Need some inspiration? The rest of the Team has some great ideas over on the BLOG! I thank you so much for coming by today! Have a thoroughly amazing Tuesday! ๐Ÿ™‚

Mojo Monday 464

Happy Labor Day my friends! I had a relaxing and fun day yesterday! I got up very late, 10:00AM, did some computer stuff, took a shower and went over to spend some time with my friend Kim and the kiddies. After that I came home and made my card for today. I still love crafting in the Stampin’ Galley and with two days off I got to unpack most of the stuff that I lug back and forth to the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store everyday! My Parents went over to my Brother’s to see the kids and I went over to Heather’s to help her get ready for a wedding that she and George went to. From there I ran a few errands and then came home and relaxed. I had a Lean Cuisine for dinner and around 10:30 I headed out to pick up Heather and Geroge. Today I was planning on going into Manhattan but I have had a headache for the past two days, I think it’s alleges, so I started taking Claritin to see if that helps. I think that I will stay in and have a crafty day instead!

Its Monday and you know what that means! It’s time for this week’s Mojo Monday sketch…

Mojo464

I had picked up this 12×12 Paper Pad a while ago and have been meaning to use it so I did just that on today’s card! The base is Ivory 110lb Card Stock. I cut up some of the paper from the DCWV Minty Lace 12×12 Paper Pad and used them for my background layers. The really cool black one with the holographic foil is adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. Next up is another piece of paper cut out with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Squares Lawn Cuts. I used some more Fun Foam and E-Z Runner to adhere it to the card. My flower is a combination of dies from the Spellbinders Makers Mart Monthly Kits. I cut the flower out of Solar White 80lb and Vellum with the center cut form Black 110lb. The leaves are cut from part of the 12×12 Paper and they are adhered to the card with a 3D Foam Square. My greeting is from the Hero Arts Many Everyday Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto a strip of Black 110lb with the right side flagged. I tucked it under the flower and added some Pretty Pink Posh Clear Droplets and Sparkling Clear Sequins to finish the card. I really love that Paper Pad, especially the holographic text sheet! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this weeks Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Fab Friday 95

We had a rainy Thursday here on Long Island. However, it’s always a nice day at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store! I got in my Crystal Katana Tools! Wow, are they amazing! Taylor and Kiera stopped by for a visit, they brought some Blaze Pizza with them. My Sister-In-Law came by with Tristan so that I could help her make some Thank You cards. We made quick work of them and I got to spend some time chatting with her. She is such a good mom and a nice person. Renee left early to go and babysit her grandson. After work I went straight over to Heather’s for Thirsty Thursday. Thankfully the rain stopped so Heather, Stephanie and I sat outside. I really do enjoy my time with them, so much fun! Today I have some more MISTI’s coming to the store and a little re-stock of Concord & 9th!

It’s an extra fun Friday this week because we have a new Fab Friday sketch challenge…

Fab Fri 95 9-02-2016

This was one of those where as soon as I looked at the sketch the card popped into my head! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I adhered a piece of paper from the DCWV Maps, Text and Ledges 8×8 Pad to the upper half of the card. Across the lower half of that is a piece of Washi Tape from Eyelet Outlet, I adhered it to some more Solar White 110lb for a little more depth. My piece of notebook paper is created using the Hero Arts Kelly’s To Do List Stamp & Cut. I used the die to cut out a piece of Black 110lb and then heat embossed the lines onto it with Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. The rest of the images and greeting are from the Hero Arts Acts of Kindness Photopolymer Stamp Set, except for the smiley face, he’s from the My Monthly Hero Kit for May. I heat embossed all of the images onto Coastal Cabana, Real Red and Sahara Sand. The Envelopes are cut out with my Scissors, the heart is punched out with a 3/4″ Circle Punch and the smiley with a 1/2″ Circle Punch. I adhered the greeting across the notebook paper and put a teal clothespin that I got from the Target Dollar Spot on the side. The notebook paper is adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner and the all but one envelope is adhered with 3D Foam Squares. I added a little Cranberry Stickles to the hearts on the envelopes and the card is finished. I love the mix of neutrals with the pops of teal and red and the greeting is still one of my favorites! I hope that you like my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you for coming by today! Have a fantastic Friday! ๐Ÿ™‚

Mojo Monday 459

The last of the headache from Saturday finally went away Sunday morning. That was a long one! It was a rainy overcast day here yesterday, still humid though. The Stamp, Ink, Paper Store was great as always! Renee had the Scrap Happy Sisters there to teach a class and my friend Sandy stopped by! Love my Sandy! I don’t get to see her as much as I would like to! She picked up some new crafty goodness, can’t wait to see what she makes with it! After work I stopped by my Parent’s and my Brother, Erika, Daniel and Tristan showed up. They were on their way back from PA. I visited with them for a bit before heading over to Brian and Kim’s for her brother Kevin’s Birthday. He got lots of stuff and was a very happy boy! Adam and Erin were there and Heather came by later on. Love my peeps! When I got home I put the finishing touches on my card for today and watched a little TV before calling it a night. Today, lots to do as always, but all good stuff!

How do we love to start a Monday… why with a new Mojo Monday sketch challenge…

Mojo459

I went with a little bit of a different color combo for today’s card! The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of My Colors Classic Cherry. The background is a piece of paper from the DCWV Maps, Text and Ledgers Paper Pad. I cut it to 4″ wide and then cut an 1/8th of an inch out of the middles and adhered them to the card with E-Z Runner. I heat embossed the images from the Altenew Botanical Garden Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder onto a piece of Tim Holtz Watercolor Card and used my Sakura Koi Pocket Field Sketch Box Watercolors to color them in. They are cut out with the Coordinating Dies and adhered to a piece of Black 110lb with Multi-Matte Medium and Foam Tape that is then adhered to the card with E-Z Runner and Fun Foam. My greeting is from the Altenew Sentiments & Quotes Photopolymer Stamp Set and is also heat embossed in gold onto another piece of Classic Cherry. I flagged the right and adhered it to the card with Foam Tape. Some Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins are added and the card is done! I love the Botanical Garden Stamps, espceaily watercolored and heat embossed! I also like the unusual mix of the deep red with the fun paper and bright yellow flower! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the other Design Team members takes on the sketch and add yours to the gallery! Thank you very much for starting your week off here with me! Have a super spectacularย Monday! ๐Ÿ™‚
