SIP Challenge 132 – Cake Walk!

Hello! I missed yesterday I know! I forgot that I was watching Daniel and Tristan and thought that I would have time to make a card in the morning! Oops! I’ll make up for it today as I will have another post at 11:00! I had a nice day with the kiddos, they are always so much fun and I really enjoy getting to spend time with them each week. Daniel was focused on playing Mario on his hi-Pad and Tristan and spent the better part of the morning dancing! LOL! She loves to listen to music! When I got home I watched a little TV, had dinner and then hung out with Taylor for a bit. I also spoke to my friend Greg in Indianan for a while, always good to catch up with him! I have a bunch of things to get done this morning and then Jim and I are going to see Star Wars tonight! 😀

The first post of this double post Tuesday is for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

I wanted to do a little bit of a masculine spin on my card! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the sprinkles from the Essentials by Ellen with Concord & 9th Sweet Sprinkles Photopolymer Stamp Set stamped in Doe and Fish Tank using my MISTI. I stamped the cupcake in the same colors. Using my MISTI made it easy for me to re-stamp the frosted part in Versa-Mark so that I could heat emboss it with some Hero Arts Sparkle Embossing Powder. The Coordinating Dies cut them out and the cupcake is adhered to my card base with 3M Foam Tape. A simple sweet card with a masculine spin! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Cake Walk Challenge! There is a lot more inspiration over on the BLOG and we hope that you will share your card with us in the gallery! Thanks for stopping by this morning! I’ll see you back here at 11:00, until then enjoy your morning! 🙂

United We Flourish – Ellen Hutson with Concord & 9th!

Hello! I’m honored today to be a part of the United We Flourish Release Blog Hop from Ellen Hutson in collaboration with Concord & 9th! These stamps and dies are designed by Concord & 9th and are available exclusively from Ellen Hutson! The set is called Sweet Sprinkles and is a fantastic set for making cards for all sorts cards for different occasions! I paired the set with another great one from Concord & 9th, the Sprinkles Turnabout.

I started my card by stamping the Sprinkles Turnabout Stamp in Doe Ink using my MISTI onto a piece of Solar White 80lb. I only stamped it for two turns. Next I stamped the ice cream cone in Doe and the ice cream in Minty Fresh with the oh so sweet stamped in Doe inside the ice cream scoop. They are from the Sweet Sprinkles Set and are cut out with the Coordinating Dies. For the strip I stamped the smaller sprinkles, also from the Sweet Sprinkles Set in Minty Fresh. I wanted a strip to go behind it that matched my card perfectly so I swiped my Doe Ink Pad across another piece of Solar White 80lb. The background and two strips are adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used 3M Foam Tape to adhered my ice cream and added some Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle Pen to the ice cream for a little sparkle! A sweet simple card, great for a birthday or just about any other occasion! I hope that you like my card for the Ellen Hutson with Concord & 9th United We Flourish Blog Hop! Peace Out!

Happy Monday! I hope that you all enjoyed your weekend! I was nice and busy for most of mine. Saturday I spent the day with Heather and George. Heather and I ran a bunch of errands and then we had dinner and watched a movie. Yesterday Jim came over and we put up my Christmas Tree and ran a few more errands. I finished off the evening with a little binge of White Collar on Netflix. This morning I”m off to watch Daniel & Tristan! Not a bad way to start off the week! 😀

Today I have a funny card to share with you! Jim had someone that was leaving his company so he wanted a card to wish them well and this is what I came up with! Onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I stamped the pine branches from the Sunny Studio Holiday Style Photopolymer Stamp Set in Jalapeño and Noble Fir. The peace is cut from Gold Glitter Card using the Essentials by Ellen Holiday Words Dies. I adhered it and some Pretty Pink Posh Gold Confetti to the card with Multi-Matte Medium. On the inside I used the Concord & 9th Sophisticated Script Photopolymer Stamp Sets to stamp the Out! LOL! Get it… Peace Out! We thought it was pretty funny and so did the person that he gave the card to! I hope that you like today’s card! As always, thanks for starting your week off with me! Have a magnificent Monday! 🙂

Global Design Project 115

Ah yes, Friday, the end of what has been a pretty long week. I managed to get through a few projects yesterday, not as many as I wanted to but I’ll see what I can get done today. I went over to Jim’s last night for dinner and to meet up with our friend Laura to start planning for next year’s fundraising event. Cali met Jim’s dogs and they were ok together, it will be a while before they are best buddies. Cali has a little bit of a Napoleon complex, small dog syndrome as I like to call it! She needs to be in charge! The more time she spends with other dogs the better she will get. I’m off to get a haircut this morning and then catch up with my friend Greg. 😀

I was looking around for a challenge yesterday and remembered the Global Design Project, haven’t done that one in a while and they have a nice simple one this week…

No stamps on today’s card, just some cool die cuts! Onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I added a piece of paper from the My Mind’s Eye Necessities Wood 6×6 Paper Pad. From a piece of Red Glimmer Paper I cut out the poinsettia from the Essentials by Ellen Poinsettia and Pine Dies and the JOY from the Essential by Ellen Holiday Words Dies. The pine branches are cut from some Garden Green and adhered with E-Z Runner. I left the negatives in the poinsettia and after I adhered it to the card with 3M Foam Tape I added Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins to the center. The JOY is also adhered with 3M Foam Tape and the card is done! I love the fun sparkly pop of red against the dark woodgrain background, makes for a fun holiday card! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Global Design Project Christmas Joy challenge! Thanks for finishing out your week with me! Have a fantastic Friday and an awesome weekend! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 269

Happy pre-turkey day! I had a nice time in Manhattan yesterday visiting with Anna and Jane at The Ink Pad! I love that store!! So much fun stuff and I was really good and didn’t get anything, although that was really hard! LOL! Last night I went over to Jim’s and we worked on a few projects in the garage and then went out to grab some dinner at the diner. This morning I had a few phone calls to make before I get started on a whole bunch of errands. It’s going to be a busy day! 😀

Today’s card is for this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge…

I do love a vintage looking card but I’m not really great at making them, anyhow, this is what I came up with. The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. For the background I used a piece of paper from the DCWV Maps, Text & Ledgers 8×8 Paper Pad and adhered that to a piece of Desert Storm 80lb. My pine branches and berries are from the Essential by Ellen Poinsettia & Pine Die Set and are cut from Classic Cherry and Noble Fir. I adhered them to card with E-Z Runner. The joy is from the Essentials by Ellen Holiday Words Die Set and is cut from Silver Glitter Card. To add that to the card I used 3M Foam Tape. It needed just a little more sparkle so I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Rose Gold Sequins. Not super vintage but that paper definitely helps! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and share your with us by entering it in the gallery! Thanks for stoping by! Have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

SIP Challenge 121 – Tic-Tac-Toe

A crisp good morning to you! We got a taste of Fall last night with temps in 40’s! I’ll take Summer back now thanks! I had a pretty productive morning yesterday which is always a good way to start the day! In the afternoon I got a text from Heather that one of her cats got out so me, Kim, Stephanie and George spent a few hours combing the neighborhood. They eventually found the cat and are going to get a GPS collar for her, she gets out a lot! I went back over to Heather’s later and we ran a few errands. My evening was finished off with a little TV. This morning I have a bunch of things to get to and some cleaning to do around the house. 😀

It’s Tuesday and that means it time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge…

I went diagonal from top left to bottom right on the Tic-Tac-Toe board. My card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card stock has the front covered in a piece of paper from the My Mind’s Eye Essentials – Wood 6×6 Paper Pad. I heat embossed a flower and two leaves from the Essentials by Ellen Bold Blooms Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts White and Copper Embossing Powder onto some 65lb Vellum. The Coordinating Dies are used to cut them out. My greeting is from the same set and is heat embossed in White Embossing Powder onto the woodgrain paper. The leaves are adhered with E-Z Runner and the flower with Kool-Tak Clear Foam Tape. A sprinkling of Pretty Pink Posh Copper Sequins completes the card. I love the nice pop of white against the dark woodgrain! The card would work well for a wedding, don’t you think?! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge! There are some more great cards over on the BLOG so be sure to stop by and take a look! We hope that you will share your take in the gallery with us! Thanks for coming by today! Have an amazing Tuesday! 🙂

OSAT September Blog Hop – Throwback Thursday!

We have had nice Summer like weather for the past two days, it got up into the 80’s and was nice and sunny too! I went over to see my friend Sue during the day to help with some of the Etsy orders! If you haven’t checked out her store you can by clicking HERE! There is a ton of fun stamping goodness with more being added all the time! When I got home around 5:00 Taylor stopped by for a bit and then I went over to see Heather. We ran up to IKEA to get a few things and then sat and chatted in her backyard. Tonight I’m headed into Manhattan to see Kinky Boots with my friend Kim. She got the tickets for my Birthday! That should be loads of fun! 😀

For my projects today I’m participating in a blog hop with a bunch of my friends from one of the Facebook groups that I belong to. It’s called One Stamp at a Time Cards and More. If you have arrived here from the talented Marisa Gunn’s blog, welcome! This month we have a Throwback Thursday Theme! I base my card on one that I did a while ago. You can see it below…

To start I stamped the images from the Essentials by Ellen Mistletoe & Holly Photopolymer Stamp Set in Memento Tuxedo Black onto some Solar White 80lb and colored them in with Copics. They are all cut out with the Coordinating Dies. My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and I adhered some of the images with Tombo Dot Runner and 3M Foam Tape. The greetings for both the card and tag are cut from Gold Glitter Card with the Essentials by Ellen Holiday Words Dies. I adhered the Peace to the card with more Foam tape and added a few Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins to complete it.

My tag is cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Large Tag Die from more Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Again I added the images with Dot Runner and 3M Foam Tape along with the Joy and a few more Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins.

They coordinate but don’t match exactly and I like that you can do that with just a change of the greeting!

I hope that you enjoyed my card and tag for the OSAT Throwback Thursday Blog Hop! You can click on the next button below to go back to the start and see clever Andrea Tracy-Tucker has come up with!! Thank you so much for stopping by to see me today. Have a thoroughly awesome Thursday! 🙂

Paper Players 361

Another week starting off with Monday! LOL! I like it better when they start with Tuesday! The weekend was pretty good. Yesterday I went over to Jim’s and we worked on some more projects and got them done. Taylor stopped by when I got home and we ran to Target to get a few essentials. I have to go to the DMV this morning to renew my license, I forgot that it expires tomorrow! Oops! That should be fun, possibly not! 😀

To start off the week I have a card for the Paper Players challenge…

I decided that I would keep it super simple and use some of my favorite dies from Ellen Hutson! Those dies are the Bold Blooms and I cut them out of Pink Pirouette and Pear Pizzaz. They are adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. To keep the greeting nice and simple I cut out the Ellen Hutson Brushstroke Love Die from a piece of Silver Glitter Card and I adhered that with little bits of 3M Foam Tape. Every card is better with a few Pretty Pink Posh Sequins and today’s are Silver! Nice and simple! Aren’t those dies great?! I hope that you like today’s card for this week’s Paper Players Challenge! Thank you for starting another week off with me! Have a marvelous Monday! 🙂

Sparkly Bold Blossom

Ahh… the start of another week and new possibilities! It was a gorgeous day yesterday, I tried to get some things done in the morning but was thwarted by wanting to use a stamp set that I couldn’t find! You know when you have that idea for a card in your head and it needs to get out but you can’t find what you’re looking for! LOL! I did have a nice afternoon, Jim came by and we hung out on the couch and watched some Beach House Hunters episodes. Today I have a lot of stuff to get done and I will! No TV! 😀

My card that I have for you is a rather simple one, just dies! I started by cutting some Silver and Gold Glitter Card Stock with the Essentials By Ellen Bold Blooms Stand Alone Dies. They are adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I cut it so that when I folded it it was 5 1/4″ by 3 3/4″ so I could let the die cuts hang off the edge and it would still fit in a standard envelope. A strip of Black 110lb is adhered over the flowers and leaves. My greeting is also cut from Gold Glitter Card Stock using one of the word dies from the Essentials by Ellen Zipper Panel Dies. It’s adhered to the black strip and a few Pretty Pink Posh Gold and Silver Sequins complete the card! I do love all of the sparkle and the flowers and leaves are faves of mine! I hope that you like today’s card! Thank you so much for starting your week off with me! Have a magnificent Monday! 🙂

Paper Players 325

It was overcast and dreary all day yesterday. The Stamp, Ink, Paper Store was good like it always is, I got some things done and Renee and Angie worked on their projects all day. I snuck out a little early so that I could get the plastic ornaments that I needed for today’s class. After I did that I had dinner with my Parents and then came home and worked on today’s card. The dreary weather took a turn for the worse, it snowed last night! It’s way too early for that! Today I have my Ornament Class at the Store, that will be fun! 😀

Since there is no Mojo Monday for the rest of the year I get to share my card for the week’s Paper Players challenge…

paper-players-325

It’s their last challenge for the year too! I knew what I wanted to use for the card, I just wasn’t sure exactly how I wanted to use it! I got a few goodies from Ellen Hutson the other day, I just couldn’t resist some of the new stamps and dies that they had! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Essentials by Ellen Poinsettia & Pine Dies to cut out some Brushed Silver Metallic Card Stock and Dark Gold Glitter Paper. I adhered the pine branches to the card with 1/8″ Score-Tape and the pinecones with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. The peace is from the Essentials by Ellen Holiday Words Dies and is cut from a piece of Pluto Stardream Metallic and two pieces of Black 110lb. I adhered them to each other with more Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive and then to the card with 3M Foam Tape. All that was left to do was to add a few Platinum and Gold Pretty Pink Posh Sequins! I do love the dies, especially the Poinsettia & Pine, love those scribbly pinecones! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Paper Players Challenge! Thank you for starting your week off with a visit here! I wish you all a very happy Monday! 🙂
