Sending Favorite Hugs

Hello peeps and happy Friday! I’m off to PA for the weekend because it’s my birthday on Sunday! It’s supposed to be a nice weekend weather wise too. Maybe a hike or stroll through town?! Definitely some top down time in the convertible!

As I have mentioned I’m really loving the coordinating stamps and stencils that Pinkfresh has. I used one of those sets today for my card. I started by heat embossing the large floral image from the Pinkfresh You are my Favorite Stamps Set in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. To color in the image I used the coordinating Pinkfresh You are my Favorite Stencil and some Concord & 9th Buttercup, Stardust and Sprout Ink with my Blending Brushes. The image is then die cut with the coordinating Pinkfresh You are my Favorite Die. I cut the image in half and added it to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb with Foam Tape. My greeting is from the Pinkfresh Perfect Sentiments Hot Foil Plate and it’s foiled in Gold Glimmer Foil and cut out with the coordinating Pinkfresh Perfect Sentiments Die. To make it stand out a bit more I cut out a piece of Vellum with the circle die from the Pinkfresh Mini Slimline Essentials Bundle. I adhered the sentiment to the vellum and then to the card with Bearly Arts Glue.

I do love a slimline specific set especially when you can alter it to work on a standard A2 card!

I hope that you enjoyed my card for today and got some ideas on how you can stretch your supplies a little! Thanks so much for coming by and I wish you a wonderful weekend!

Old Parisian Floral Greetings

Happy mid-week peeps! The weather has been nice here, warm but good convertible weather which still is my favorite way to get around! I did get a different car, still a convertible, and I love it even more! Also high on the agenda, I have been trying organize the Craft Closet and it’s a little overwhelming! It’s so hard to part with anything. LOL! But sometimes you come across something that you completely forgot about and remember how much you loved it. I used just such a find on my card for today!

I started out by using the Spellbinders Diamond Floral Frame Set from Yana. All of the flowers and frame are foiled with Spellbinders Gold Hot Foil using my Crafter’s Companion Foilpress and Gemini Jr onto two shades of green and two shades of purple 110lb Card Stock. I used Neenah Solar White 110lb for the frame. The coordinating dies in the set are used to cut out all of the elements. My greeting is from the Spellbinders Yana’s Sentiments Hot Foil Set. It’s also foiled in gold and I cut out three blanks to add to it to give it some dimension. The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb and to that I added a piece of Purple 110lb Card Stock that I embossed with the Cuttlebug Old Paris Embossing Folder. It’s an oldie but still so cool! Next I added the elements to the card with Bearly Arts Glue and 3D Foam Tape. To finish it off I added some Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins.

I do really still love that Embossing Folder, unfortunately it’s hard to find as it’s from 2015! But you can always do a google search and get it! I hope that you enjoyed today’s card and I thank you for stopping by! Enjoy the rest of your Wednesday!

Indigo Wreath Woven Hello

Hello there and happy Labor Day! I hope that you all are enjoying your three day weekend! I had my friend Kim come out on Saturday. I went into Manhattan in the afternoon and met her for lunch and then we drove back out to my house. Sunday morning we went over to Long Beach and met Jim for a nice walk along the boardwalk which we finished just before it started to drizzle. She took the train home yesterday afternoon and I spent the rest of the day relaxing. I’m hoping to get into the Craft Closet today and play with some new goodies that I recently acquired!

The other day I was digging through my stash and came across one of favorite products from back when I had the store! I decided that it would make a fun background for some new goodies. To start my card I used the Pinkfresh Indigo Vines Washi Tape and added it to a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the coordinating Pinkfresh Indigo Vines Die to cut it out. My card base is also Neenah Solar White 110lb. The background is a piece of Grey 110lb that I embossed using the We R Memory Keepers Next Level Woven 3D Embossing Folder. It’s added to the card base with Bearly Arts Glue. I used 3M Foam Tape to add the wreath. My greeting is from the Pinkfresh Perfect Sentiments Hot Foil Plate. I used Crafter’s Companion Aurora Hot Foil on a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb and cut it out with the coordinating Pinkfresh Perfect Sentiments Die. More foam tape is used to add the greeting to the card and for a little sparkle I added Pinkfresh Stargazer Jewels and some sequins from Little Things by Lucy. A quick simple card thanks to the Washi Tape and sentiments!

I hope that you enjoyed my card for today! I want to thank you for sharing a little bit of your time with me! Enjoy the rest of your Labor Day!

Embrace Silver & Blues

Hi there peeps and a happy Monday to you all! I had a nice weekend and did something that I haven’t done in a very long time. On Saturday I took a ride into the city and picked up my friend Kim. We went downtown so I could go and see The Ink Pad’s new location. They have been there for well over a year but because of everything that has been going on I haven’t really been in the city. The new shop is nice and packed with fun stuff! Unfortunately Anna wasn’t there but I did get to see Patrice. I of course picked up a few things! LOL! Yesterday my friend George helped me do some things to my car and then Heather made a delicious dinner. A nice weekend indeed!

My card for today uses the Pinkfresh Small Butterflies Hot Foil Plate again! I think I’m a little addicted to hot foiling!I used my Gemini Jr. and the Gemini Foilpress along with the Pinkfresh Small Butterflies Hot Foil Plate and some Silver Glimmer Foil to create the butterflies.

Next up I used the coordinating Pinkfresh Small Butterflies Stencil and Concord & 9th Midnight, Peacock, Oceanside and Aqua Sky Ink to add color.

I then cut them out with the coordinating Pinkfresh Small Butterflies Dies. For the background I cut a piece of Dark Blue Card Stock with the Pinkfresh Slim Diagonal Stitched Plaid Die. It’s trimmed to 8 1/4 by 3 1/4 and adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb. For the leaves I used the Pinkfresh Curvy Leaves Die and cut them from Silver Foil Card Stock. They are added to the card base with Bearly Arts Glue. The butterflies are adhered with Foam Tape. My greeting is from the Pinkfresh Butterflies Stamp Set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts Silver Embossing Powder onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb. It’s also adhered to the card with Foam Tape. For a little more sparkle I added a few Crystal Confetti. I don’t use much silver or blue and I actually really love them together! I hope that you enjoyed my card for today! I appreciate your visit and wish you a pleasant day!

Eclectic Day

Happy Friday the 13th! I didn’t realize it was Friday the 13th until I looked at my phone this morning. It has been extremely hot and humid here for the past few days. It rained yesterday evening for about 20 minutes and was even more humid after that! It’s supposed to be a little better today but not much. Maybe some more time in the craft closet today to stay out of the heat?!

My card for today features a layering die set from Concord & 9th and is a mini slimline. I started by creating my background ink blending some Distress Oxide Inks in Mermaid Lagoon and Mowed Lawn onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with my Blending Brushes. That is adhered to a card base cut to 6 1/4 by 6 1/2 and folded in half. The finished card base is 6 1/4 by 3 1/4. Next up I used the Concord & 9th Plaid Card Front Thin Die to cut a piece of Black 110lb Card Stock. I trimmed it from it’s A2 size to fit better on my mini slimline card and adhered it with Bearly Arts Glue. My flowers are cut out using the Concord & 9th Eclectic Garden Dies from Rose Chintz and Garden Green. I added the flowers to the stems and leaves and then used my Prismacolor Pencils to add some details. They are also adhered to the card with Bearly Arts Glue. For the sentiment I heat embossed one from the Concord & 9th Eclectic Garden Stamp Set in Hero Arts White Embossing powder onto another piece of Black 110lb and trimmed it with my Paper Trimmer. It’s added to the card with 3M Foam Tape. It needed something more so I dug through my stash and found some Goosebumps that I got years ago and added them to the flower centers.

I love the envelope dies from Pinkfresh so I made a coordinating envelope using the Mini Slimline one. A nice simple card that would perfect for a birthday! I hope that you enjoyed my project for today. Thanks so much for spending a little time here and I hope that you have a fabulous weekend!

SIP Challenge 183 – All My Love!

Hello my friends! It was incredibly cold here yesterday! Like in the minuses with the 40 MPH winds that we had. Thankfully we didn’t get any of the snow on Saturday but boy that cold was nasty. I had to put the spare tire back in the car where it belongs, only took a month to do that, and picked the coldest day so far to do so, and I thought my ears fell off! LOL! It’s to be a little better today but not nice and in the 40’s like we have been having. I’m done with Winter, anyone else?! ๐Ÿ˜€

Tuesday and time for a new challenge over on the Stamp, Ink, Paper blog…

To start my card I stamped the Concord & 9th Triangle Turnabout Photopolymer Stamp using my MISIT in Minty Fresh Ink once onto a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My tag is cut from Desert Storm 80lb using the Concord & 9th Little Love Tags Dies. The greeting is from the Concord & 9th Little Love Tags Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Amalgam Ink. I cut the the luggage tag part from Grey 110lb and slipped it thought the hole in the top of the tag. The heart is from the same set and is cut from Real Red Glitter Card. The elements behind the heart are from the Concord & 9th Everyday Bouquet Die Set that is exclusively included in the Concord & 9th Everyday Bouquet Turnabout Toolkit. I cut them from Merman, Gold Mirror Card and Galvanized Curious Metallic. They are added to the back of the heart and the heart is attached to the tag with 3M Foam Tape. I added the tag to the card base with more 3M Foam Tape. A few Faceted Acrylic Jewels finish off the card. I love the heart with the elements peeking out and the fun subtle triangle background! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this weeks Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! Head on over to the BLOG for more inspiration from the rest of the Team. Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a nice rest of your Tuesday! ๐Ÿ™‚

SIP Challenge 182 – Tic-Tac-Toe!

Hi there! It’s been getting progressively colder here and we are supposed to get some snow over the weekend. Not feeling that at all. You know how I love Winter! I’m already counting down the days until Spring! LOL! ๐Ÿ˜€

It’s time for what has become my lone weekly post! A new challenge over on the Stamp, Ink, Paper blog…

We haven’t had a Tic-Tac-Toe in a while! I went across the top row. To start, I heat embossed the heart from the Concord & 9th Sending Love Photopolymer Stamp Set in Simon Says Stamp Antique Gold Embossing Powder onto a piece of Calypso Coral and then used my Scissors to cut it out. Onto a piece of Solar White 80lb I heat embossed the arrow. The hearts with the xo and the small heart cluster are from the Concord & 9th Little Love Tags Photopolymer Stamp Set and are stamped randomly in Hero Arts Fresh Peach. The panel is then adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I added the large heart to the card with 3M Foam Tape. It needed a little bling so I added some Peach Sequins and a few Basic Jewels Rhinestones. I do love a stamped background and that gold embossed heart pops nicely on the Coral! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards including our newest member, Lisa Mackey! Thank you for spending a little of you day with me! Enjoy the rest of your Tuesday! ๐Ÿ™‚

SIP Challenge 175 – Gratitude!

Hello my friends! It was a dreary Monday and that has continued into a dreary Tuesday. A good day to stay in and get some stuff done around the house. The kiddos are off from school and wanted to spend the day at my parents so I’ll have them tomorrow. I did go over and have breakfast with them this morning. Now to get some stuff done here! ๐Ÿ˜€

Tuesday and that means that it’s time for another Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge…

I felt like doing some heat embossing so I did just that… and a lot! My background is created using the Concord & 9th Deck the Halls Turnabout Photopolymer Stamp. I put it into my MISTI and used Versa-Mark to stamp it each time onto a piece of Grey 110lb Card Stock. It’s coated with Hero Arts Gold, Platinum, Copper and Brass Embossing Powder and heat set then trimmed to 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″. My card is a piece of lighter Grey 110lb Card Stock and I adhered the background to the front. For my greeting I used the Concord & 9th Grateful Leaves Dies to cut out the grateful from three pieces of Grey 110lb. They are adhered to each other with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. Before adding it to the card I used my Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen to add some sparkle. A pretty simple card with a big impact thanks to all of that metallic embossing powder! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Gratitude Challenge! Check out the rest of Team’s cards over on the BLOG and share your take with us in the gallery! Fab Friday 149

Hello friends and a very happy Friday to you! I had a nice day yesterday tile shopping with my friend Kelly. We picked out the shower, wall, floor and shower pan tile for her new bathroom and stopped at Chick-fil-a for lunch. After that I cleaned a little and watched some movies for the rest of the night. I’m off to see the kiddos and my windshield is being replaced today. Tristan and I will hit up McDonald’s for lunch later… if she’s good! LOL! ๐Ÿ˜€

On another fun note it’s time for a new challenge over on the Fab Friday blog…

I was inspired by this card that Debby Hughes had done the other day. I loved the colors that she used and I just felt like stamping a background myself! I used the Hero Arts Color Layering Grateful Leaves Photopolymer Stamp Set andย Soft Pool, Wet Cement, Pumpkin Pie Dye and Mulled Wine Hybrid Ink along with my Mini MISTI so I could stamp the images more than once to make them nice and crisp. The veining in the leaves is all stamped in Cup O Joe and then the background is adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My greeting is cut from Gold Glitter Card with the Hero Arts Thank You Pair Fancy Dies. I added it to a circle cut from 65lb Vellum using the Hero Arts Circle Infinity Nested Frame Cuts Dies with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. The circle is then adhered to the card with thin slivers of 3M Foam Tape. A little bling was needed in the form of Little Things by Lucyย Shimmering Pool Jewels and The Colors of Fall Sequin Mix! Love the colors of the leaves! I hope that you like my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG for more inspiration and share your card with us in the gallery! Thanks for visiting and enjoy the rest of your Friday! ๐Ÿ™‚

SIP Challenge 172 – Sketch!

Monday done! How did you all fare?! I did pretty good. Daniel was good as always and Tristan wasn’t the little she devil that she has become! LOL! It was rainy here most of the day yesterday but should be nice today. I snuck into Manhattan on Saturday to go and see my friend Kim and then went to October Fest at the Firehouse with Kim and Brian. Saturday was the first day that I wore pants since April!! I’m not liking that fact! It’s getting chilly and that means that my least favorite season is coming! ๐Ÿ˜€

It’s Tuesday and time for a new challenge over on the Stamp, Ink, Paper blog…

My card is super simple! I used the Concord & 9th Snowflake Turnabout Photopolymer Stamp and some Soft Pool Ink with my MISTI to create my background. I stamped each turn twice to make the ink a little more intense. My greeting is from the same set and is heat embossed in WOW! Rich Pale Gold Embossing Powder onto a piece of Vellum. To cut it out I used the Concord & 9th Lovely Blossoms Dies. I adhered my background to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and then added the sentiment with teeny tiny pieces of 3M Foam Tape. All that was left was to add a few Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins. Like I said, simple but the heat embossing gives it a little oomph! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and share yours with us in the gallery! Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your Tuesday! ๐Ÿ™‚
