Stars Love Galaxy

I had an actual lazy Sunday! I stayed in bed late, didn’t really do much of anything but watch TV. Taylor came by for a little while after she got off of work. I did make a card for today and that was my day. Today I will be spending lots of time in front of the computer, my to-do list just keeps getting longer! πŸ˜€

I felt like doing a little ink blending yesterday and thats where this card started. I did that ink blending on a piece of Bristol Smooth Card Stock with Hero Arts Navy, Grape Juice and Charcoal Ink using my Mini Ink Blending Tool. It’s spattered with Heidi Swapp White and Tinsel Color Shine and dried with my Heat Tool. I used the Hero Arts Milky Way Fancy Die to cut out a piece of Shadow Curious Metallic Card Stock and as I was taking out the middle I thought that it would actually look pretty cool on the card instead of the outside. My sentiment is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto the die cut and adhered to the card with 3M Foam Tape. For some sparkly stars I added Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins and that finished the card. I actually do love the inside of the die cut galaxy. It looks like a swirly space oddity! I hope that you like today’s card! Thanks for starting another week off with me! Have an absolutely awesome Monday! πŸ™‚

My greeting is also heat embossed in Gold onto a piece of Solar White 110lb that is cut out with the banner die from the set. Fab Friday 119

Fab Friday 119

It’s Friday already?! That was another quick week! I had a fun day with my friend Sue. We worked on Etsy stuff and went out to have some lunch. There was a little stop at Marshall’s before we headed back to her house to finish up a little more stuff before I headed home. Last night we had Thirsty Thursday at Heather’s. Stephanie was there and Taylor stopped by for a few. This morning, more things to cross off my to-do list! πŸ˜€

It’s a Fab FridayΒ week and we have a fun sketch for you…

I got my August My Monthly Hero Kit and had to have a little play! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Galvanized Curious Metallic. I used the large die from the Hero Arts My Monthly Hero Kit to cut out a piece of Black 110lb. The little boy on the moon is heat embossed in Hero Arts Sparkle Embossing Powder onto another piece of Black 110lb and cut out with the Coordinating Die. I adhered the large Black die cut to the card with Black 3D Foam Squares and the boy on the moon with E-Z Runner. My greeting is also from the set and is heat embossed in Hero Arts Black Sparkle Embossing Powder onto another piece of Galvanized Curious Metallic. I flagged the right side and used a few more Black 3D Foam Squares to adhere it to the card. For some more sparkle I added Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins! I love the August Hero Kit, so much fun! I hope that you like my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Sketch Challenge! Check out the rest of the Team’s cards over on the BLOG and let’s see your take on the sketch in the gallery! Thanks for stopping by this morning! SIP Challenge 112 – Travel!

SIP Challenge 112 – Travel!

Another fun filled Monday! LOL! I did get some things done and helped out a few friends in the morning too! We had an extra early Thirsty Thursday last night over at Heather’s! Stephanie was there and George joined us too! We always have such a good time laughing and catching up! This morning I have to get working on my to-do list for the week! I have been putting off way too much stuff! πŸ˜€

So it’s Tuesday and what does that mean?! Well, it’s time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

I’m always looking for a reason to use that Eiffel Tower Die from Hero and this seemed like the perfect opportunity! To start my card I die cut the Hero Arts PaperLayering Eiffel Tower from a piece of Gold Mirror Card. I used a die from the June 2016 My Monthly Hero Kit to cut out a plane from a piece of Silver Glitter Card Stock. They are positioned onto a piece of Black 110lb so that I knew where to heat emboss my sentiment, also from the Hero Arts June My Monthly Hero Kit, in Hero Arts Platinum Embossing Powder. The black panel is adhered to a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and then the Eiffel Tower and plane are adhered with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. It needed a little more sparkle so I added Pretty Pink Posh Silver Sequins! I do really love that Eiffel Tower and the plane too! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you for stopping by today! Have an excellent Tuesday! πŸ™‚

Cupcakes & Sprinkles

Cupcakes & Sprinkles

Yay for the weekend! I had a pretty busy day yesterday. Got my haircut in the morning and spoke to my friend Greg for a little while. I went over and saw Heather, we had lunch and I ran a few errands. The evening was quiet, just a little TV. Today it’s supposed to be rainy so maybe some crafty time?! Good way to spend a rainy day! πŸ˜€

I have another card to share with you today that uses the Concord & 9th Sprinkles Turnabout Set! The background is stamped with it using my MISTI with Freshly Cut Grass and Merman Ink onto a piece of Solar White 80lb. I adhered the trimmed piece to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The cupcakes are stamped in Black Licorice for the outline and the same two ink colors to fill them in. My tag is cut out from a piece of Mermaid Card Stock with the Concord & 9th Sprinkles Tag Dies along with the cupcakes. My greeting is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto the bottom of the tag. I tied a piece of Natural Green Twine through the top and adhered it to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. The cupcakes are adhered with 3D Foam Squares and a little drop of Multi-Matte Medium holds the twine in place! I’m loving that Sprinkles Turnabout, confetti sprinkles in any colors! I hope that you like my card for today! Thank you so much for visiting! Have a spectacular Saturday! πŸ™‚

Sprinkled with Love – Concord & 9th Guest Designer for Feature Friday!

Sprinkled with Love – Concord & 9th Guest Designer for Feature Friday!

Happy, happy Friday peeps! Yes, another beautiful day, and yes I spent a good part of it outside. The morning was spent catching up on things around the house, I do need to be somewhat productive! It was a quiet day all in all. I finished the evening off by watching Collateral Beauty, not the best movie I have seen but not terrible. It’s going to be cooler today but no rain so we should be ok for the day! πŸ˜€

I have the extreme pleasure of being a Guest Designer for Concord & 9th this month along with the rest of the fabulous Design Team over on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog! For the next four Friday’s we will be featuring a new product from the August Release! This week it’s the fantastic Sprinkles Turnabout Stamps and the Sprinkles Tag Dies!

As soon as I saw the Sprinkled with Love greeting in the set I knew just what I was going to do! I started my card by using the Sprinkles Turnabout Photopolymer Stamp to heat emboss in Hero Arts Gold and stamp in Ballet Slippers, Peachy Keen and Bubblegum Ink onto a piece of Solar White 80lb. It’s trimmed to 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 and adhered to a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Next I used the solid heart die from the Heartstrings Dies and the small heart from the Sprinkles Dies to cut out a large and two small hearts from a piece of Guava. I heat embossed the sprinkles in Hero Arts Gold and White Embossing Powder and the greeting in White onto the hearts. They are then adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. Those Turnabout Stamps are just so cool and this one is no exception! Love it along with the greeting! I hope that you enjoyed my Guest Designer card for Concord & 9th! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of talented Teammate’s projects! I thank you so much for stopping by! Have a fantastic Friday! πŸ™‚

Paper Craft Crew 255

The gloomy Tuesday morning turned into a nice day around 1:00PM! I can deal with that! I did get a few things around the house completed in the morning and then I took my MacBook and sat outside in the afternoon! I do love a little sit outside! In the evening I went over to Jim’s for some dinner and more furniture refinishing! We are working on some chairs and an end table. Pictures when we are done of course! πŸ˜€

The world is from the same stamp set and is heat embossed onto another piece of Black 110lb with Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. Before IΒ adhered the globe to the card base with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner I added a piece of Copper Washi Tape. Paper Players 356

Paper Players 356

Monday already huh?! Another weekend zipped by! I did end up going to the beach with Heather in the morning yesterday, we stayed for a few hours and then ran a some errands. She made me a turkey burger for dinner and then her and George had to go to a wake so I headed back to my house. Later on Taylor came by and we watched TV for a bit. This morning I have a bunch of things to get finished on the computer and it’s supposed to rain so it will be the perfect day for it! πŸ˜€

I made a quick card late last night and it’s for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

To begin my card I stamped the Concord & 9th Tree Ring Background Photopolymer Stamp onto a piece of Smoky Slate with Doe Ink and used my Scissors to cut it out. The card base is a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with a piece of Desert Storm 80lb adhered to the front. I used Fun Foam and E-Z Runner to adhered the tree ring to the card. The little tree rings are from the Concord & 9th Cozy Up Photopolymer Stamp Set and are stamped randomly in Yeti Ink onto the background. To finished the card I added Pretty Pink Posh Marshmallow Sequins! As you can see from the picture that Tree Ring is a very well loved stamp! Sweet Blackberry Birthday Wishes

Sweet Blackberry Birthday Wishes

What a nice Saturday I had! It rained for a little while in the morning but stopped by 10:00. I took a ride over to Jim’s to drop off some things and we ended up working on another project. This time we took two old wooden crates that he had in the garage and sanded the paint splatters off of them. We did a wash of a grey paint and then he had the genius idea of going over it with some black shoe polish to darken it up a bit! Here is what they looked like before we started…

And here is the finished product…

We just need to put legs on it and then it will be an end table for his den! I love the way the piece turned out! Who knew that refinishing furniture could be so much fun?! πŸ˜€

I was inspired by the color of the wood from yesterday’s project for today’s card! The background is a piece of Smoky Slate that I stamped the Hero Arts Designer Woodgrain Background on in Black. It’s adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My images and greeting are from the Hero Arts Color Layering Ice Cream Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the cone in Soft Brown and Cup O joe and the ice cream in Passion Flower and Grape Juice. They are cut out with the Coordinating Frame Cuts. My greeting is heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto a strip of 65lb Vellum and adhered behind the background. I added the cone and ice cream with 3D Foam Squares and a few Pretty Pink Posh Amethyst and Sand Sequins to finish the card! I love the fun gray woodgrain with the neat ice cream cone! I hope that you like today’s card and the end table! Thanks for stopping by to see what I have been up to! Have a simple Sunday! πŸ™‚
