Paper Players 350

Paper Players 350

And back to reality! I did have one of the best weekends in recent memory! We all had so much fun at Jim’s country house on the lake! The traffic was a little horrendous on the way home but that’s New York! We did stop for a little lunch and I got back to my house around 4:30. I decompressed for a bit and then Taylor came by and we ran a few errands and got Wendy’s for dinner. I also made my card for today! This morning I’m off to Manhattan to see my friend Isabella! It’s been way too long! ๐Ÿ˜€

That card that I made is for this week’s Paper Players challenge…

My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Hero Arts Delicate Petals Stencil with my Stencil Brush and some Lime Green Ink to add a little color to the background. Down the left side is a strip of Night of Navy. The Hero Arts Infinity Circles Dies are used to cut out a piece of Lime and I adhered it to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner Ultra Strong. My butterflies are from the Hero Arts Color Layering Butterflies Photopolymer Stamp Set, I stamped them in Tide Pool and Navy using my Mini MISTI and then cut them out with the Coordinating Frame Cuts. The greeting is from the Hero Arts Many Everyday Messages Photopolymer Stamp Set. It’s heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto another strip of Night of Navy. All of the butterflies and greeting are adhered to the card with 3M Foam Tape. I really am enjoying my stencils and brush, such an easy way to add some color to a card! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge! Thanks for starting your week off here with me! Have a magnificent Monday! ๐Ÿ™‚

Freshly Made Sketches 293

Freshly Made Sketches 293

I’m sure that with all of the nice weather we have had here for the past few days we are due for some rain soon. I managed to get a lot of crating done in the morning yesterday and also did some wash. A quick dinner with the ‘rents and then a trip to Walmart with Taylor. After that I ran over to Jim’s to help him with some things. This morning I’m off to Manhattan to see Ella and then I’ll take the train back to Rockville Center, meet up with Jim and then head off to Pennsylvania for a long weekend! Ahh… to be away for a while will be good! ๐Ÿ˜€

Today I have a simple masculine card to share with you today for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge but before we get to that I want to thank Cรฉcile for choosing me as her King of Clean for last week’s challenge!

You can see my original post HERE and the winners post HERE! Now for this week…

To start I pulled out the piece of Black that was heat embossed with Hero Arts Clear and White Satin Pearl Embossing Powder using the Concord & 9th Triangle Turnabout Photopolymer Stamp, it was left over from a card that I made a few weeks ago. I adhered it to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. On the right is a piece of Galvanized Curious Metallic, I used the Concord & 9th Select-A-Size Edges Dies to trim the left side and then heat embossed the greeting from the Concord & 9th Happy Words Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Black Sparkle Embossing Powder. That’s it! A nice simple masculine card! I hope that you enjoyed my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! Thanks for visiting and hopefully tomorrow I’ll have some PA pics for you! Enjoy your Thursday! ๐Ÿ™‚

Paper Craft Crew 249

Paper Craft Crew 249

Wow! It’s Wednesday already?! We did have a very nice day here yesterday with lots of sun! I spent most of the day with Sue working on Etsy stuff. We went to Panera for lunch and I had my grilled cheese and tomato soup! In the evening Jim came by and I made us some nice big salads with grilled chicken, olives, avocado, tomatoes, cucumber, croutons and blue cheese dressing. Taylor came by and chatted with us for a bit and we finished the evening off with a few YouTube videos. Today I have a lot of stuff to get done! I found out that I will be away for the weekend! WEE! ๐Ÿ˜€

It’s Wednesday and that means it’s time for this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge…

I was going through my stamps and came across this old but goodie! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Hero Arts Wave Stencil and my Stencil Brush to apply some Tide Pool Ink to the lower left. Across the lower part is a piece of Copper Tape. My circle is cut from a piece of Blueprint Curious Metallic with the Hero Arts Circle Infinity Dies and adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. The images and greeting are from the Hero Arts July 2016 My Monthly Hero Kit. I stamped the coral and jellyfish in Tide Pool and did the second layer of the jellyfish in Copper Embossing Powder. They are cut out with the Coordinating Frame Cuts and adhered to the circle. My greeting is heat embossed onto a piece of 48lb Vellum with White Hero Arts Embossing Powder and adhered to the card with Kool-Tak Clear Foam Tape. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Rose Gold Sequins and done! I still love that jellyfish, makes for a nice different image on a card! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a wondrous Wednesday! ๐Ÿ™‚

SIP Challenge 104 – Colors!

SIP Challenge 104 – Colors!

It started out as a beautiful sunny day but around 5:00 the heavens opened and we had rain for the rest of the evening. I did get a little crafting done in the morning and then ran a few errands in the convertible! I also helped Jim with some computer stuff remotely in the evening and Taylor came by to spend some time with me. Later on we ran to BJ’s with Heather so she could use her coupons before they expired! She is too funny! I’m going to have breakfast with Heather this morning and then over to Sue’s for a little bit to work on some Etsy stuff! ๐Ÿ˜€

Now it’s time for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

A nice bright cheery group of colors, wouldn’t you say?! I’m still keeping it simple! To start my card is used my MISTI to stamp the solid part of the “feathers” from the Simon Says Stamp One With Nature Photopolymer Stamp Set in High Dive, Goldenlocks and Hot Mama ink. After they had dried I stamped the outlines in Versa-Mark and heat embossed them with Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder. They are cut out with the Coordinating Dies and adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My greeting is from the same set and is stamped in Hot Mama in the lower right corner. A few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear and Gold Sequins finish the card! I know that the “feathers” are trees but I think they work pretty well! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink. Paper Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and lets see yours in the gallery! I thank you for stopping by! Have a terrific Tuesday! ๐Ÿ™‚

Huge Thanks

Huge Thanks

Hey there! Happy Saturday to you! We had a rainy drizzly day here yesterday. I spent most of it in the house watching TV, it was just one of those kinds of days. I did go over and have dinner with my Parents and later on in the evening Taylor came by and we watched Dr. Strange. Today I’m off to Manhattan again this time to see my friend Kim! Should be a good day! ๐Ÿ˜€

My card that I have to share with you today uses the June My Monthly Hero Kit! I used my MISTI to repeatedly stamp some of the elephants in Wet Cement onto a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock along with a larger one onto a piece of Solar White 80lb. The single elephant is cut out with the Coordinating Die. I stamped the grass along the bottom to even out the card. The sunset die is used to cut out a piece of Orange Vellum and I heat embossed my greeting in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder in the upper left. The large elephant is adhered to the Vellum with 3M Foam Tape and then the vellum to the card with Vellum Adhesive. I love the outlines of all of the elephants, especially the big one in front of the sunset! I hope that you enjoyed today’s card! Thank you for visiting! Have a super Saturday! ๐Ÿ™‚

Paper Craft Crew 248

Paper Craft Crew 248

It was another hot one here yesterday but I’m not complaining! It’s supposed to be cooler today, but hopefully it won’t stay that way! I puttered around in the morning and in the afternoon I went over to Stephanie’s to dangle my legs in the pool for a while! After that I came back home and Jim stopped by around 5:00. We went next door to see my Parent’s for a bit and then ran to Lowes to look at pond stuff. A little TV before bed and that was my day! ๐Ÿ˜€

Let’s see… Wednesday and we have a new Paper Craft Crew challenge for you…

As soon as I saw this I knew exactly what I wanted to do! To create my background I stamped the images from the Concord & 9th Many Mandalas Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Aquatic and Green Apple Hybrid Ink using my MISTI onto a piece of Solar White 80lb. That is then adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. For the greeting I stamped the wishing you onto the card base in Black and then the rest is heat embossed in Hero Arts White onto a piece of Black 110lb. I cut the end on an angle and adhered it to the card with 3M Foam Tape. I hoarded some of the Pretty Pink Posh Share Handmade Kindness Sequins Mix and the colors worked perfectly with the ink so I added a few to complete the card! I love the green and blue together and the mandalas make a nice background! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Inspiration Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! I thank you for stopping by today! Have yourself a wonderful Wednesday! ๐Ÿ™‚

Freshly Made Sketches 291

Freshly Made Sketches 291

Ahh the weekend! What a lovely day we had here yesterday! It was in the 80’s and Sunny! I went for a ride with Stephanie in the convertible in the afternoon and hung out with her and Sophie for a while. We played Kid’s Monopoly, that’s a fun little game! I ran a few errands and then Andrew stopped by and so did Jim. We had a nice evening and today Jim and I are headed to New Hope, PA for the day! Just to do something different and get out of New York! Should be a really fun day! I’ll try to remember to take some pictures! ๐Ÿ˜€

My post for today is for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

I dug out and oldie but goodie! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. To create my background I used the Hero Arts Waves Stencil and my Stencil Brush to apply Some Tide Pool Ink to a piece of Solar White 80lb. I trimmed it to match the sketch and adhered it to the card. My goldfish, from the Hero Arts Color Layering Goldfish Photopolymer Stamp Set, is stamped in Light Ruby to Royal Red Ombre Ink for the second layer and the first layer is then stamped in Versa-Mark and heat embossed in Hero Arts Clear Embossing Powder. After I cut him out with the Coordinating Frame Cuts I adhered him to the card with 3M Foam Tape. The greeting is from the Hero Arts Hello Gorgeous Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Black right under my fish. All that was left to do was to add a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins! I still love that goldfish and the stencil brush makes inking the background easy! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches Challenge! Thank you for stopping by! Have a sensational Saturday! ๐Ÿ™‚

Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th – Layers!

Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th – Layers!

Hello again! I’m back for my second post for today! We have a new challenge over on theย Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blogย for the month of June! This time we ask you to create a a card with some layers!

I started my card by stamping the flower from the Pretty Petals Photopolymer Stamp Set in Lobster Ink. I then placed a piece of 29lb Vellum over the top and stamped the second layer of the flower in Versa-Mark and heat embossed it with Hero Arts White Satin Pearl. The Coordinating Dies cut out both layers, including a little Black 110lb for the flower center, and I adhered them to each other with E-Z Runner, hiding it behind the embossing. To make the background I cut a piece of Black 110lb with the Select-A-Size Edge Dies and adhered that to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. My greeting is from the Happy Words Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Black Licorice right onto the card base. All that was left to do was to adhere the flower to the card with 3M Foam Tape! I love how the vellum softens the bold red of the flower and the funky edge offset is pretty neat too! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this month’s Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Layers Challenge! We hope that you will take some time to share your card with us in the gallery. Be sure to stop by the BLOG for some inspiration from the rest of the Team! Thanks so much for coming by again! Enjoy the rest of your Friday! ๐Ÿ™‚

Ahh… the middle of the week. Once again zipping by! Another cloudy, misty, rainy day here. Lots of crafting in the morning, a little TV and some planning. I got to see Daniel and Tristan for a bit. My Brother and Erika went to see a concert at Jones Beach, Erika was quite excited about the night out! Taylor came by and we hung out for a while, I love my child, she’s such a good person! Hopefully it will not be raining today and I can get outside for a bit. I think I’m suffering from Sun deprivation! ๐Ÿ˜€

So what do we have for a Wednesday post? Why this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch of course…

Nice and simple! I started my card by heat embossingย the images from the Concord & 9th Many Mandalas Photopolymer Stamp Set onto 48lb Vellum and Blueprint Curious Metallic. I used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out and layered them on top of one another. To adhere them to my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I used some 3M Foam Tape. The happy birthday is from the same set and is stamped in Hero Arts Navy Ink onto the card base. A few sequins from the Little Things by Lucy Nautical and Brushed Gold Mixes and the card is done! I love that Mandalas set, especially heat embossed on the different papers! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! There is more inspiration over on the BLOG so go and check it out! Thanks so much for your visit! I wish you all a wonderful Wednesday! ๐Ÿ™‚

Farewell Mojo Monday

Farewell Mojo Monday

A very happy Monday to you all! I had such a great weekend! Yesterday morning I went to Target and picked up eightย chairs for Jim, you would be surprised what you can fit in a convertible with the top down, it’s like a little pickup truck! LOL! We unloaded them and set them up on the patio and then got a bunch of other projects finished. He made a late breakfast of omelets, they were delicious. We took a ride to HomeGoods and he got a really nice rug for his den. For dinner he made Chicken Marsala that was amazing. A little TV and then I came home to see Taylor for a bit. He gave me some of the leftover Chicken Marsala which Taylor absconded with! I’ll be getting some crafty things done this morning, I believe that it’s supposed to rain today, good day for that! ๐Ÿ˜€

It is with great sadness that I share with you my last card for the Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge. I can remember how excited I was when I found out that I was on the Design Team! It has been so much fun playing along each week with the rest of the Team. They are some of the nicest crafty peeps you could ever hope to know! And Julee is such a kind, sweet and talented person, I’m really going to miss her amazing sketches! But this is sketch 500 so I would say we have had a pretty good run!

I started my card off with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The background is two pieces of paper from the Jen Hadfield DIY Home 6×6 Paper Pad. I added two strips of Heidi Swapp Glitter Washi Tape across the lower half of the card. The two vertical pieces of paper are Blushing Bride and Pool Party. My greeting is actually a Reverse Confetti Promo Stamp that Jennifer DelMuro sent to me for a card class that I had a while back. I heat embossed it in Simon Says Stamp Rose Gold Embossing Powder onto a piece of Smoky Slate and adhered it to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. A fitting card to the end of an amazing challenge! I really hope that you enjoyed my final card for the Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Please head over to the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and share yours with us one last time! Thank you so much for sharing in my weekend and starting another week off with me! Have a marvelous Monday! ๐Ÿ™‚
