Mojo Monday 446

I had a nice relaxing day yesterday! It felt good to do not too much! I did get my laundry done and managed to get a card made too. Other than that I spent some time watching YouTube and some TV too. It rained all day so it made you not want to do much. I think that it’s supposed to be rainy all week. Hopefully Spring will make a comeback soon! I miss it! Today I have a bunch of projetcs to get through and some other things to do around the house! Today will not be a lazy day! 😀

It’s Monday and that means that it’s time for this week’s Mojo Monday sketch…

Today’s card has lots of gold on it! The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. For the background I heat embossed the Hero Arts Confetti Bold Prints with some Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder onto a piece of Desert Storm 80lb and adhered that to the card with E-Z Runner. My greeting, from the Concord & 9th Being Classy Photopolymer Stamp Set, is heat embossed in more Gold onto a piece of Tim Holtz Watercolor Card. I then used my Mini Ink Blending Tool and some Peacock Feathers and Cracked Pistachio Distress Ink to add color to the paper blending it to an Ombre look. Along the bottom I adhered a piece of Gold Mirror Card Stock that used the Concord & 9th Bags and Tags Die along the bottom of. The panel is then adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My flowers are from the Concord & 9th Wildflower Photopolymer Stamp Set and are stamped in Onyx Black onto another piece of Watercolor Card. I used my Gansai Tambi Watercolors to color them in and was pleasantly surprised that they didn’t cover up any of the black ink! They are cut out with my Scissors and adhered to the card with Foam Tape. A little sprinkling of Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins and the card is finished! I love the sentiment panel with the ink blending and the coloring on the flowers is pretty neat! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Mojo Monday 444

Do you ever have one of those days? The kind where you have so much to get done and you just can’t pick a starting point so not much gets done! I hate when that happens! That was my Sunday! The weather was so nice I think that it may have played a part in my distraction! I kept wanting to be outside! I did get a few things done but no where near as many as I wanted! Oh well, we’ll try to finish up things today! I was supposed to take Heather to the airport this morning but she called me last night and apparently she has a 101 fever so she won’t be going anywhere. Feel better Heather! How was your Sunday?

Today is Monday and that means that it’s time for a new Mojo Monday sketch…

This card all began with the urge to watercolor and evolved from there! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Mama Elephant Sew Fancy Creative Cuts to cut out a piece of Solar White 80lb. It’s gives it that nice cross stitched detail around the edge. I then masked off the edge with some Post-it Tape and stamped the Simon Says Stamp Diagonal Stripe Background Stamp onto it using my MISTI and Simon Says Stamp Black Ink. It’s then adhered to the card with E-Z Runner. The three panels are Gold Mirror Card Stock and they are adhered with Foam tape and E-Z Runner. The flower and leaves are from the Mama Elephant Fresh Cut Florals Photopolymer Stamp Set and are heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto a piece of Tim Holtz Watercolor Card. I used my Gansai Tambi Watercolors to color them in and then used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out. A little more E-Z Runner adheres them to the card. My greeting is a piece of Black 110lb cut out with the Mama Elephant Hello Script Creative Cuts and adhered to the flowers and leaves with Multi-Matte Medium. It really is funny how hard it is to take a good photo of a card with Mirror Card Stock on it! The greeting really stands out in real life! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Head on over to the BLOG and see what the rest of the Team has come up with to inspire you and enter your card in the gallery so we can see your creative take! Thank you very much for starting your week off by stopping by to see me! Have a magnificent Monday! 🙂

Fab Friday 85

Another busy Thursday spent in front of the computer doing loads of research! Not that I mind it, it’s one of my favorite things to do besides crafting of course! I did get a lot accomplished and have a lot more to do but I’ll get everything in order eventually! My friend Heather went for a second opinion about her back issues and she may not have to have surgery after all! That was some good news! Daniel was at my parent’s yesterday but the poor little guy has a cold so he wasn’t in the mood for any pictures! I did have dinner with the family and then came home and tried to get some more stuff done. I know that I’m being a little cryptic about what’s going on but I’ll be able to share with you soon! Taylor and Kiera stopped by late last night. I haven’t seen Taylor all week, I said that it was nice to know that she remembered who I was! LOL! Today I have a lot of stuff to get accomplished and I hope that I can finish everything! Wish me luck!

Now for the Fab Friday Challenge! This week we have a nice sketch for you…

Fab Fri 85 4-15-2016

I had the urge to play with some watercolors again and a new Thank You stamp that I recently acquired! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I covered the front in one of my all time favorite blues, Midnight Muse. Across the top half of the card are a piece of Gold Mirror Card Stock and 80lb Solar White with both ends flagged. The greeting is the Hero Arts Thank You with Flourishes Wood Mount Stamp, it’s heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder and onto some Tim Holtz Watercolor Card. I taped it to a board with Blue Painter’s Tape and used my Gansai Tambi Watercolors to create a wash over the image. It’s dried with my Heat Tool and then trimmed before being adhered it to a piece of White Gold Curious Metallic. Some Fun Foam is adhered to the back of the panel. I adhered a Tea Lace Paper Doily towards the bottom and then adhered my panel to the card. What’s a card without some Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins and a few Basic Jewels Rhinestones added in for some extra sparkle?! I do really like that nice large Thank You, I can see it making a very nice set of cards for someone! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for the Fab Friday Sketch Challenge! Head on over to the blog and take a look at the rest of the Team’s cards and enter your one in the gallery so we can see what you do! Thanks for taking some time out of your day to visit with me! Have a fabulous Friday! 🙂

Freshly Made Sketches 231

H A P P Y   F R I D A Y   T O   Y O U ! I still loves me some Friday! It was a little drizzly and a little overcast and a little sunny here yesterday! Lot’s of weather in one day! I went out to Starbucks for coffee in the morning with Brian, we stayed in the store and sat and chatted for a bit. When I got back to the house I FaceTimed with Andrea and we worked on our projects. Later on I went over to my parents to see little Daniel. We had a tickle fight, I always win those! LOL! Around 5:00 Heather came and got me and we ran to BJ’s and OfficeMax. She dropped me off and I had dinner with my parents, brother and Daniel. I stopped back at my house and watched a little YouTube before heading over to Heather’s for Thirsty Thursday! We had a great time as always and watched some episodes of Lip Sync Battle. Today I have some errands to run and more crafting to get done! Looks it will be a good Friday!

Some of my crafty time from yesterday made my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge…

Freshly Made Sketches 231

I wanted to play with my Gansai Tambi Watercolors again! I finished swatching them out, so nice to have a peek at all of the cool colors in there! My card base for today is Ivory 110lb Card Stock. I trimmed my angle on the right of a piece of Copper Metallic Card Stock and adhered that to the front of the base. My flower is from The Ton’s Large Peonies Photopolymer Stamp Set and is heat embossed onto a piece of Canson 140lb Watercolor Paper with Ranger Copper Embossing Powder. I used my Gansai Tambi Watercolors to color in the image wetting it first to make sure that the color moved around. The greeting is from the same set, the hello is stamped in Versa-Fine Onyx Black and then heat embossed with Simon Says Stamp Clear Fine Detail Embossing Powder. I adhered the panel to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. The rest of my greeting is heat embossed in more Ranger Bronze on a piece of Black 110lb and adhered to the card with E-Z Runner and more Fun Foam. A sprinkling of Pretty Pink Posh Watermelon, Bronze and Pink Peony Sequins complete the card! I love that nice large flower, perfect for watercoloring and I’m so enjoying my new watercolors! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge! Thank you for spending a little time with me today! Have a fantastic Friday everyone! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 189

Happy mid-week peeps! It’s still freezing cold here and I’m not enjoying it one bit! If you have any hot weather that you can spare please send it my way! Brian stopped by yesterday to visit for a bit in the morning and then I made my way over to Scrap-A-Latte to see Renee. We had a nice little chat and from there I came back home and spent some time with Daniel. Taylor and Kiera stopped by, it was Taylor’s Birthday yesterday, she is no longer a teenager! Boy do I feel old! LOL! Last night Danielle came back over and we finished getting all caught up. I miss her but the stories of work make me glad that I’m not there! Today I need to get crafty, lots of projects to get finished, but you know how I love my crafty time!

Today I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew blog for this week’s sketch challenge…

PCCCS189 DT Sketch 4-06-2016

I wanted something bright, bold and quirky! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I spattered the front with some Heidi Swapp Gold Color Shine. The flagged piece is some Canson 140lb Watercolor Card Stock that I covered in Wilted Violet Distress Ink using my Mini Ink Blending Tool. It’s spritzed with water and then I dabbed it with a paper towel leaving that fun Distress Background. A piece of Vellum is cut out with the Simon Says Stamp Clustered Leaves Die and adhered behind the flagged piece. I then adhered that to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. Across the top is a piece of Gold Glimmer Paper and under that is some Purple Smooth Glitter Washi Tape. My feathers and greeting are from the Lawn Fawn Dream Photopolymer Stamp Set and are heat embossed in Clear Fine Detail Embossing Powder on more Watercolor Card Stock. I used my Gansai Tambi Watercolors to color them and then cut them out with the Coordinating Dies. They are adhered to the flagged piece with E-Z Runner. I stamped the greeting in Onyx Black from the same set in the lower right corner of the base. A few Pretty Pink Posh Amethyst, Gold, Ocean Spray and Peacock Feather Sequins are adhered around the feathers for some more sparkle! I think that I got a bright, bold and quirky card, how about you?! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see what the rest of the Team has come up with and enter your card in the gallery! Thank you for stopping by to see what I’m up to today! Have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂
