Well, either it’s not as cold as it has been or I’m finally becoming immune to it! LOL! I don’t think that I will ever become immune to the cold, just not my kind of weather! It was a little warmer yesterday, got up into the 30’s which melted a teeny bit of the snow. I ran my errands in the morning and did a little cleaning too. Jim and I went to see Star Wars – The Last Jedi in the evening and it was really good. This morning I’m off to watch Daniel and Tristan again! ๐Ÿ˜€

It’s Wednesday and time for a new sketch from the Paper Craft Crew

Keeping with my simple cards I did a one layer one today! Onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I heat embossed the brushstrokes and thank you from the Concord & 9th Painted Thank You Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder. On a diagonal across the lower half of the card I added a piece of Gold Sparkle Washi Tape. It needed a little something more so I took out my Pretty Pink Posh Gold Sequins and added just a few for a some bling. Another super simple but easy to mass produce card! The gold heat embossing makes it a little more special don’t you think?! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG to see the rest of the Team’s cards and share yours with us in the gallery! Thank you for coming but today! Have a wondrous Wednesday! ๐Ÿ™‚

Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th – Use Your First Concord & 9th Set!

As promised I’m back! This time it’s for the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Challenge for January! We ask that you use your first Concord & 9th Stamp Set! I really had to think about that one! I have so many from them so I went back through my emails and found my very first order from August of 2015! Saving all of those emails finally paid off! LOL! Here is this month’s challenge badge…

The very first set that I got was the Being Classy Photopolymer Stamp Set! My card is nice and simple and uses just the stamp set and Coordinating Dies! I stamped the thoughtful in Fresh Lavender, Grape Soda and Sugarplum onto card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with my MISIT. The you’re is stamped in Sugarplum at the top. On another piece of Solar White 110lb I stamped the thoughtful again in Sugarplum and Versa-Mark. It’s then heat embossed with Hero Arts Sparkle Embossing Powder and cut out with the Coordinating Die three times. The dies cuts are adhered to each other and to the card with Multi-Matte Medium. Another very simple but fun and easy to mass produce card!

I hope that you like my Design Team card for this month’s Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Use Your First Concord & 9th Set Challenge! SIP Challenge 132 – Cake Walk!

SIP Challenge 132 – Cake Walk!

Hello! I missed yesterday I know! I forgot that I was watching Daniel and Tristan and thought that I would have time to make a card in the morning! Oops! I’ll make up for it today as I will have another post at 11:00! I had a nice day with the kiddos, they are always so much fun and I really enjoy getting to spend time with them each week. Daniel was focused on playing Mario on his hi-Pad and Tristan and spent the better part of the morning dancing! LOL! She loves to listen to music! When I got home I watched a little TV, had dinner and then hung out with Taylor for a bit. I also spoke to my friend Greg in Indianan for a while, always good to catch up with him! I have a bunch of things to get done this morning and then Jim and I are going to see Star Wars tonight! ๐Ÿ˜€

The first post of this double post Tuesday is for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge

I wanted to do a little bit of a masculine spin on my card! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the sprinkles from the Essentials by Ellen with Concord & 9th Sweet Sprinkles Photopolymer Stamp Setย stamped in Doe and Fish Tank using my MISTI. I stamped the cupcake in the same colors. Using my MISTI made it easy for me to re-stamp the frosted part in Versa-Mark so that I could heat emboss it with some Hero Arts Sparkle Embossing Powder. The Coordinating Dies cut them out and the cupcake is adhered to my card base with 3M Foam Tape. A simple sweet card with a masculine spin! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Cake Walk Challenge! There is a lot more inspiration over on the BLOG and we hope that you will share your card with us in the gallery! Thanks for stopping by this morning! I’ll see you back here at 11:00, until then enjoy your morning! ๐Ÿ™‚

Simple Love – Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th!

Simple Love – Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th!

Hello again!! I’m about to go outside and see if can dig out my car and get the heck out of this house!! I have a touch of cabin fever from being home all day yesterday! It’s time for my January Solo Post here on the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Challenge Blog! The next big card making holiday coming up is Valentine’s Day so I figured that I would get a jump on making some cards for it! I’m really loving the Concord & 9th Love You So Stamp Set, perfect for just such cards!

For my card base I trimmed a piece of Gray Card Stock to 11″ x 3 5/8″ and folded it so it was 5 1/2″ tall. Using my MISTI I stamped the LOVE from the Love You So Photopolymer Stamp Set in Wet Cement down the left side. For my greeting and hearts I used the Love Always Frame Dies to cut out some Classic Cherry and Solar White 110lb. They are adhered to the card base with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. A nice simple card with some stamping and a few die cuts!

I hope that you like the card for my January Solo Post for the Where Creativity Meets Concord & 9th Blog!ย Donโ€™t forget that you can follow us onย Instagramย andย Facebook! We are getting ready to start our next challenge on January 9th, be sure to come back to see what the rest of my talented teammates have to inspire you! Thanks for stopping by! Fab Friday 128

Fab Friday 128

A whole day stuck in the house is definitely not for me! When the snow finally stopped around 6:00PM the final total was around 10 inches! But that wasn’t the end of it, the wind is terrible still so it’s blowing all over the place. Have I mentioned how much I dislike the Winter! LOL! I did manage to get some things accomplished and even got some crafty time in! This morning I will be digging my car out and going somewhere… anywhere! ๐Ÿ˜€

It’s time for the first Fab Friday challenge of 2018…

A super quick card using minimal supplies! Onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I stamped the congrats from the Hero Arts Congrats Stamp & Cut in Crimson Hybrid Ink. The sequins are from the same set and stamped in Crimson Hybrid, Lemon Yellow and Emerald Green. I added some Clear Sparkle Pen over all of the sequins for a little shine and done! I have said it before, I love to just stamp a card, nothing else! I hope that you like my Design Team car for the Fab Friday Color Challenge! You can see the rest of the Team’s cards over on the BLOG and we hope that you will share yours with us in the gallery! I’ll be back at 11:00 with another post so until then thanks for stopping by and enjoy your Friday morning! ๐Ÿ™‚

Did you know that I moved to Antarctica?! Me either but that’s exactly what it feels like here! I woke up to 12 degrees and it hasn’t been above 25 in over a week! Oh how I love the Winter… NOT! To make things even more fun we are to get some snow tomorrow. No thanks! I did have a productive day yesterday, I went over to Jim’s in the morning and we undecorated his house and had lunch. I was back home by 3:00 and took down Christmas at my place too. Today I have some laundry to do and cleaning, all things that can be done without going outside! LOL! ๐Ÿ˜€

It’s Wednesday and time for a new challenge over on the Paper Craft Crew blog…

I have had the Concord & 9th Dahlia Turnabout Stamp for a while and I finally inked it up to make today’s card! Using My MISTI and someย Minty Fresh, Merman, Peacock and Hippo Ink to stamp it onto a piece of Solar White 80lb. The greeting is from the same set, I stamped it in Black Licorice and then offset it and heat embossed it in Hero Arts Platinum Embossing Powder. The panel is adhered to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. For a little sparkle, some Pretty Pink Posh Platinum Sequins and a few Basic Jewels Rhinestones are added to the centers of the larger ones! A nice simple card to let someone know that you think they are amazing! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and share yours with us in the gallery! Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful Wednesday! ๐Ÿ™‚

SIP Challenge 131 – Emboss It!

SIP Challenge 131 – Emboss It!

Hey there, remember me?! I have been MIA for a little bit over the Holidays. I just lost my Mojo and didn’t make a card for about two weeks!! That’s the longest I think I have ever gone. Plus I think that I just needed a break after five years of almost daily posts. Hopefully I will get back into the swing of things! Oh, Happy New Year!! Can’t believe that 2017 is done! I did have a good year and a wonderful time over the Holidays! I hope that all of you are doing great and that your year is off to a great start! ๐Ÿ˜€

It’s Tuesday and time for the first Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge of 2018…

I used a new to me stamp set that I have wanted for a while, it was a little prezzie from Jim! To start I heat embossed that gorgeous leaf from the Neat & Tangled Oak Leaf Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder onto a piece of Canson 140lb Watercolor Card. I colored it in using a Light Green Zig Clean Color Brush Pen and a Waterbrush. It’s cut out with the Coordinating Die. Onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I adhered a piece of Solar White 80lb that I embossed with the We R Memory Keepers Wave 3D Embossing Folder. My greeting is from the same set and is also heat embossed in Hero Arts Gold onto a strip of Solar White 80lb. I added the leaf and greeting with 3M Foam Tape and a sprinkling of Pretty Pink Posh Gold and Sparkling Clear Sequins completes the card. I do love that leaf especially watercolored! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge! There is more inspiration over on the BLOG so check out the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you so much for coming back after my little hiatus! Have a terrific Tuesday! ๐Ÿ™‚

Kind Hearts – Concord & 9th Guest Designer for Feature Friday!

Kind Hearts – Concord & 9th Guest Designer for Feature Friday!

Yay for Friday! Most of the snow is still here because it was freezing yesterday. I ran over to see Heather in the morning, she went in late to work and had her work Holiday party last night so there was some outfit choosing to be done! When I got back home in the afternoon I did a few things around the house including a little laundry. Taylor stopped by after dinner and we ran some errands. I made marshmallow snowmen that will be added to eggnog martinis for the party on Saturday. Today I will be at Jim’s helping get the house ready for said party. A busy but fun day! ๐Ÿ˜€

I have the pleasure of Guest Designing for Concord & 9th again this month! It’s Feature Friday and this week we are focusing on the Polkadot Turnabout Stamp!

I have also used the Quilted Heart Die on my card which is a FREE gift with any $60 purchase from them this month! To create my background I heat embossed the Polkadot Turnabout Photopolymer Stamp in Hero Arts Copper Embossing Powder onto a piece of 43lb Vellum. I slightly offset the stamp in my MISTI so that the polkadots wouldn’t be perfectly lined up. My hearts are cut from Classic Cherry using the Quilted Heart Die and the greeting using the Kind Card Frame Add-On Die. I adhered the hearts to the background with E-Z Runner and the kind with Multi-Matte Medium. A little more E-Z Runner and Multi-Matte Medium behind the die cuts adheres the background to my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Isn’t that Polkadot Turnabout fun and the Quilted Heart is fantastic! I hope that you like my Guest Designer Card for this week’s Concord & 9th Feature Friday post! Thank you so much for coming by! Have a fantastic Friday! ๐Ÿ™‚

Freshly Made Sketches 317

Freshly Made Sketches 317

Well, I woke up to 3 inches of snow this morning! No thanks! LOL! It was so windy and cold here yesterday too! Is it too early to start complaining that I can’t wait for Spring?! Despite the frigid day I still got a lot done. Last night we had an early Thirsty Thursday at my house, Heather was a little tipsy so I drove her home and then took her car over to her this morning. I’ll be running more errands and checking more things off my to-do list today! ๐Ÿ˜€

I managed to get a card made this morning for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches Challenge

I wanted to use the December My Monthly Hero Kit again. First I used the Hero Arts City Skyline Fancy Die, an add-on, to cut out a piece of Gold Glitter Card. I adhered it to a piece of Black 110lb that I rounded the corners on with my We R Memory Keepers Corner Chomper. The moon and the starts are from the Stamp Set included and are heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. Onto my card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock I added a strip of the Gold Glitter Card and then adhered my panel with E-Z Runner and Fun Foam. My greeting is also from the Stamp Set and is heat embossed in more White Embossing Powder onto a strip of Blue Jay. A few Black 3D Foam Squares hold it in place. The bottom looked a little plain so I added a few Nautical Sparkle and Brushed Gold Sequins along with some dots with my Gold Signo Gel Pen. Love that fun City Scape Die and the unusual greeting! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Freshly Made Sketches Challenge! Thank you for your visit and I wish you all a super Thursday! ๐Ÿ™‚

Paper Craft Crew 272

Paper Craft Crew 272

It has become seriously cold here! I woke up to 20 degrees this morning and lots of wind! Poor Cali was not happy on her walk this morning and neither was I! LOL! Yesterday I ran some errands then met up with Heather and Steph after dinner so that they could go and vote for Fire Commissioner. Heather and I stopped by to see Brian and Kim’s house, they are expanding it out to the side and up. It was pretty neat to see the construction, the shell went up really fast! When I got back home Taylor was here snuggling with Cali. Her and I ran a few more errands and then I called it a night. Not sure what I’m up to this morning but I know there will be some laundry in there somewhere! ๐Ÿ˜€

I did a little FaceTime crafting with Andrea yesterday and made my card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew challenge…

I started my card by reaching for the Hero Arts December My Monthly Hero Kit. The vase is heat embossed in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder onto a piece of Canson 140lb Watercolor Card, colored in with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens and cut out with the Coordinating Die. I used the lattice window die to cut out a piece of Gold Mirror Card. For my background I spattered some Heidi Swapp Gold and Teal Color Shine onto a piece of Desert Storm 80lb and adhered it to a card base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The two strips of patterned paper are from the DCWV Mariposa 12×12 Paper Pad. I heat embossed my greeting in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder on the teal strip and flagged both ends of the butterfly strip before adhering them to the card. Some Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive hold the lattice window in place and a little 3M Foam Tape secures the vase. All that was left to do was to add a few Pretty Pink Posh Sea Breeze and Gold Sequins and the card is done! I love the December My Monthly Hero Kit, so many fun things to use in it! I hope that you like my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and enter your take on the sketch in the gallery! Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful Wednesday! ๐Ÿ™‚
