Paper Craft Crew 244

It was a gorgeous day yesterday and promises to be even nicer today! I managed to get some things done around the house in the morning and then I headed over to Heather’s for lunch. We sat outside and ate on her new patio set and enjoyed the beautiful day. I came home for a bit and then headed back over there to run a few errands with her. Taylor came by later on and the three of us ran to BJ’s. Lots of stuff to get done today but it will be really hard to stay indoors! 😀

Wednesday and we have a new Paper Craft Crew challenge for you…

Nice and simple so I kept my card really simple! The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I stamped the flower from the Concord & 9th Brushed Blossom Photopolymer Stamp Set in Soft Pool, Pool and Navy Ink, it’s cut out with my Scissors. I then stamped the leaves in Mint Julep and the spatter in Navy right onto the card base and then adhered the flower with 3M Foam Tape. My greeting is from the Concord & 9th You’re My Person Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Pool using my Mini MISTI so that I could double stamp it to make it nice and bold. It’s also cut out with my Scissors and adhered with more 3M Foam Tape. All that was left to do was to add some Little Things by Lucy Nautical Sparkle Sequins Mix around the flower. I really like the blues and soft green for the flower and that greeting is still one of my all time favorites! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and let’s see what you do with the sketch, share your card in the gallery with us! Thanks you very much for your visit! SIP Challenge 79 – Anything But Christmas!

Yes, another freezing cold day! What a way to start the week… NOT! Luckily when I got to the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store my Lawn Fawn and MFT orders were delivered early so I got those checked in. Almost all of the Lawn Fawn is gone! Guess I’ll have to do a re-order on that one! I had to run to the Post Office to mail out some orders and the line was crazy long but I ended up talking to lady in front of me which made for a nice wait. When I got back to the store I worked on my card for today which was a lot of fun to make! After work I went over to Geroge’s to have dinner with Heather and him. From there Heather and I went out to see Patty and Tom for a bit. When we got back to Geroge’s we hung out for a while, watched some TV and then I came home. Today I have a lot that I want to get accomplished, I would like to start working on my cards for next month’s class and get a Newsletter out! 😀

It’s Holiday Sale time over at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store! Use discount code SIPHOLIDAY16 and take 25% off everything in the Holiday 2106 Collection!

Today I have the pleasure of sharing my card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper challenge…

I don’t know about you but I’m all Christmas’d out at this point! LOL! Plus now is a good time to get a head start on all of those thank you and birthday cards that you will need for the new year! I used the December My Monthly Hero Kit to make a very sparkly birthday card! My base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. To create my background I used the Hero Arts Party Confetti Fancy Die to cut out a stencil from a piece of Solar White 80lb. I taped the stencil over the card front with some Washi Tape and used my Mini Ink Blending Tool to apply Grape Juice Ink. Next up I cut out a frame from a piece of Gold Glitter Card using the Hero Arts Infinity Rectangles Dies and adhered a piece of Acetate and a perimeter of 3m From Tape to the back. Some Little Things by Lucy Purple Velvet Sequins Mix is added to the card front and the frame is adhered over the top to seal in all of that sparkly goodness! My images and greeting are from the December My Monthly Hero Kit. I stamped the images in Memento Tuxedo Black and colored them in with Copics and used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out. The greeting is cut from a piece of Gold Glitter Card and two pieces of Solar White 110lb, they are adhered to each other with Multi-Purpose Spray Adhesive. All of the images and greeting are then adhered to the Acetate with more 3M Foam Tape. I do love all of the sparkle from the Gold Glitter Card and Sequins! What a fun birthday this will be to send to someone! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Stamp, Ink, Paper Anything But Christmas Challenge! Stop by the BLOG to see what the rest of the Design Team has to inspire you and let’s see your card in the gallery! This challenge will run for two weeks so you have plenty of time play along! Thank you for stopping by! Have a super Tuesday! 🙂

Paper Craft Crew 217

Hello my friends! We have reached the mid-way point in the week! It is warming up here again! Yay! The heat is back on in my apartment and it has been 86 degrees for the past two days. A little too warm for inside the house! I was nice and busy at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store yesterday! I got some cards made for this month’s Card Class and Renee had her Monthly Memories Class. After work I headed home and had a quick dinner with my Parent’s and then headed over to Heather’s. We ran to BJ’s and then hung out at her place waiting for the new tenant to come by. Heather is selling most of the furniture and it kind of works out perfectly because the girl that’s moving in is coming from her parent’s so she doesn’t have much! Today I will finish the rest of the cards and work on some more upcoming classes. Love my job! 😀

If it’s Wednesday then I’m over on the Paper Craft Crew blog for this week’s sketch challenge…

pcccs217-dt-sketch-11-02-2016

I have been wanting to use the Altenew Coffee Love Photopolymer Stamp Set again for a while and it worked perfectly with the sketch! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I stamped the Hero Arts Fabulous Flourish Background onto a piece of Blue Mint with Hero Arts Navy Ink and then adhered it to the card to cover the entire front. Some Champagne Curious Metallic is cut out with the Spellbinders Triple Tear Nestabilities and adhered over to the left. On top of that is a piece of Navy that I cut out with the die from the Hero Arts Kelly’s To Do List Stamp & Cut Set. It’s adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My images and greeting are from that Altenew Coffee Love Photopolymer Stamp Set. I heat embossed the Espresso Pot in Hero Arts Platinum Embossing Powder onto a piece of Galvanized Curious Metallic and the cups in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto some Slate. They are cut out with my Scissors and adhered to the card with 3D Foam Squares. The greeting is heat embossed onto another piece of Slate in more White and adhered under the panel with more 3D Foam Squares. I added some Little Things by Lucy Nautical and Platinum Sequins Mix randomly and the card is done! I love that Coffee Love Set and I have been really into the blues lately! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the cards from my other Teammates and enter your card in the gallery! I thank you for your visit today! Have a wonderful Wednesday! 🙂

Paper Players 318

Remember when I said yesterday that I was going to be one tired boy today… I was right! LOL! I didn’t get much accomplished at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store. Renee and I had our friend Evelyn stop by to work on a project and Taylor came by to see me again. After work I came home and waited for my Parent’s to get back from the closing on my Grandmother’s house in Pennsylvania. We had dinner and then I came home and watched TV. I was too tired to do anything else! Today I feel much better and will continue to work on getting some more projects finished. 😀

Thankfully I worked ahead and have a card to share with you today that is for this week’s Paper Player Sketch Challenge

paper-players-318

My card base is Ivory 110lb Card stock. I took a piece of Shale and inked the edges with some Hero Arts Navy Ink and a mini Ink Blending Tool. Down the right is a piece of Authentique Strong Collection 12×12 Paper. My little buildings are from the Hero Arts Kelly’s It’s Christmas Time Photopolymer Stamp Set. I heat embossed it with Hero Arts Platinum Embossing Powder onto a piece of Navy that I cut out with the Lawn Fawn Dotted Circles Stackables Lawn Cuts. It’s adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. I stamped my greeting from the Hero Arts Kelly’s Warm & Cozy Photopolymer Stamp Set in Navy, flagged the ends and inked the edges. It too is adhered to the circle with more Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. To complete the card it just needed some sparkle so I added a few Little Things by Lucy Nautical Mix Sequins and Rhinestones! And to think that this card all started because I wanted to use the Crossword Paper! I also happen to love that little set of buildings! I hope that you like my card for this week’s Paper Players Sketch Challenge! I appreciate you coming by today! Have an amazing Thursday! 🙂

Silver Snow Holidays

It was chilly and rainy here for most of the day yesterday. I was glad to be at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store, Renee had her no-frills crop! I had a little mini Card Class with Elyse, Nancy and Barbara and that was a lot of fun! A few orders had to be entered into the system since the register was down for most of the day yesterday. After work I had some Chinese food for dinner with my Parents. When I got home I made the mistake of turning on the TV and got sucked into Gods of Egypt. It was actually a pretty good movie! Today I want to get my newsletter done and then I need to clean up the house a bit when I get home! Fun Sunday stuff!

I had started working on a collage card at some point last night and then decided that I didn’t like it! So I made this one instead! My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb and I covered the front in a piece of Lawn Fawn Bluejay that I cut out with the largest Stitched Rectangles Stackables Lawn Cuts. The Snowflakes are cut from Galvanized Curious Metallic using the Lawn Fawn Stitched Snowflakes Lawn Cuts. I adhered them from upper left to lower Right with Multi-Matte Medium. A circle is cut out from some 48lb Vellum with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Circles Stackables. I heat embossed the greeting from the Lawn Fawn Love You a Latte Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts Silver Embossing Powder. The coffee cup is from the same set and I used Copics to color it in and the Coordinating Dies to cut it out. It’s adhered to the card with Foam Tape. A large snowflake is adhered to the back of the Vellum and then the circle is adhered to the card with more Foam Tape. For a healthy dose of Sparkle I added Little Thing by Lucy Nautical Sparkle Sequin Mix and a few Rhinestones. You know how I love a non-traditional Holiday card and this one definitely fits the bill! I hope that you like today’s card! I thank you for stopping by and I wish you all a very nice Sunday! 🙂

Paper Players 317

Oh boy did I have a nice day yesterday! Apart from getting up at 5:30! I haven’t been up that early in a really long time! I made sure that I took the 7:01AM train from Bethpage, it’s starts the station before so you are guaranteed a seat! I saw my friend Pat on the platform which was a nice surprise! By the time I got up to 77th Street I still had about 40 minutes before I had to meet Ella so I placed a mobile order at the Starbucks on 78th and sat down and enjoyed the city for a bit. I was an absolutely glorious day, high of 84 and lovely and sunny! Ella and I got all of the things accomplished on her list and a few extras. After I left Ella I met my friend Patrice on 77th. She had wanted a stamp set from the store and to borrow one of mine. It was so nice to see her, she is such a wonderful person, funny and always smiling! I just made it back to Penn Station in time for my train out to Lindenhurst. Sue picked me up at the station at 1:16 and we stopped at Taco Bell so I could get some quick food. When we got to the store Jean was waiting so I could make her a custom stamp. Once that was finished Sue and I set out to get the cutting done for class. Before heading back over to my house we stopped at Bed, Bath & Beyond so I could get a new Keurig! LOL! I needs my coffee!! Sue’s husband Joe met us for dinner and then Sue and I came back to my house for a bit. I’m not gonna lie, I was really tired last night and even went to bed early! Today is the first day of the Lawn Fawn Card Class at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store! Fun, fun, fun!

Thankfully I had planned ahead and made today’s card for this week’s Paper Players challenge on Tuesday! Before we get to this week I want to say a big thank you to Joanne for choosing me as a her Cut Above in last week’s challenge! You can see the winner’s post HERE and my original post HERE! Now on to this week, a Clean and Simple Leaf from Nance….

paper-players-317

My card is pretty clean, maybe not that simple! The card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. For the background I heat embossed the Concord & 9th Barnwood Background Photopolymer Stamp onto some Slate with Hero Arts White Embossing Powder. It’s cut to 4″ x 5 1/2″ so that little bit of white peeks out from either side. The leaves are die cut from Solar White 110lb using the Concord & 9th Layering Leaves Dies. I heat embossed each one three times with Hero Arts Gold, Platinum, Brass, Silver and Copper Embossing Powder. They are adhered to the card with Dot Runner Adhesive. A strip of Battleship Gray has the thanks from the Concord & 9th Give Thanks Photopolymer Stamp Set heat embossed in more Hero Arts White and it’s adhered over the top of the leaves to the card with Fun Foam and Tombo Extreme Adhesive. A little scattering of some Little Things by Lucy Sequins completes the card! I have said it before and I’ll say it again, that Barnwood Background Stamp is my favorite woodgrain stamp and I clearly love the Layering Leaves Dies and the Give Thanks Stamps, I think I have used them more than any other set I own! I hope that you enjoy my card for this week’s Paper Players challenge from Nance! Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a simply wonderful Thursday! 🙂

City Night Sky Santa

It started off chilly here in the morning but warmed up as the day went on. The Stamp, Ink, Paper Store and Scrap-A-Latte were filled with peeps having fun with Renee’s wine glass candle holder projects! Taylor came up to the store and hung out for the day too! I got a few cards made and that is always a good day! After work my friend Marianne followed me home and we went up to IKEA. I had to get some pillowcases, I really like their sheets, they are 100% cotton! I also ended up getting a new area rug for the living room and Marianne picked up a few more things than she planned. After IKEA we went and had a little dinner at Noodles & Company. From there is was off to A. C. Moore, Marianne had a few things that she needed to get. When I got back to my house I sat down in the Stampin’ Galley and worked on today’s card! Today I have a bunch of things to get accomplished at the Store, I’ll be off tomorrow for Heather’s Dad’s funeral.

There was a nice little surprise waiting in the mailbox for me when I got home yesterday, the My Monthly Hero Kit finally arrived so of course I had to have a little play with it! The card base is the usual Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I covered the front in a piece of Black. To create my background I masked off about 1 1/4″ of the bottom of a piece of Solar White 80lb and used my Mini Ink Blending Tool to apply some Hero Arts Cornflower and Navy Ink. I then moved the mask and applied Grape Juice and Navy to the top part. I took a picture of the panel when I had finished my ink blending. You can see how it looks a little blotchy…

ha-ink-blending-wm

As you will see on the final card the ink evens out nicely after about 20 minutes! I used my heat tool to make sure that the ink was completely dry, I wanted to heat emboss the Santa and sleigh from the October My Monthly Hero Kit with some Onyx Black and Hero Arts Clear Embossing Powder. Next I die cut the cityscape and bridge from the Hero Arts Skylines Fancy Dies. The buildings are cut from Black and the bridge from Ionized Curious Metallic. I adhered the buildings with Dot Runner Adhesive and the bridge with Black 3D Foam Squares. My greeting is also from the stamp set included in the kit and is heat embossed in Hero Arts Platinum Embossing powder onto another piece of Black. The left side is flagged and more Black 3D Foam Squares adhere it to the card. The sky needed some stars so I picked a few out of the Little Things by Lucy Platinum Mix and adhered them with Multi-Matte Medium. I really do love the way the Hero Arts Inks blend,  just a little patience and you get amazing results! I hope that you enjoyed my little city Holiday card today! I appreciate you coming by and wish you all a simple Sunday! 🙂

Fab Friday 98

I got my new Concord & 9th and Mama Elephant yesterday at the Stamp, Ink, Paper Store and got it all checked in. I couldn’t wait to play with the new Concord & 9th as you’ll see by today’s card! I did get some very sad news, Heather’s Dad Arthur passed away. Unfortunately Heather was in Boston when it happened and had to come home but didn’t get to the hospital in time. She was very close to her Dad and is very upset. He was a very nice man with a great sense of humor. I was lucky enough to get to know him through family vacations and holidays. He will definitely be missed. My toothache is no better, I think I may ask someone to run over my head and that’s where I’m at! 😀

It’s an extra good Friday because it’s a Fab Friday. This time we have a timely color combo…

fab-fri-98-10-14-2016

Like I said, I used some new Concord & 9th goodies on today’s card! The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Black where I heat embossed the greeting from the Concord & 9th Happy Words Photopolymer Stamp Set in Hero Arts White. To make the shaker I used the new Concord & 9th Happy Card Frame and Mistletoe Card Frame Add-On Dies. It’s cut from Crisp Green with the bow from Purple Hearts and the berries from Candied Yam. I backed it with some Acetate and Foam Tape. My shaker filling is Spring Green and Purple Velvet Sequin Mixes from Little Things by Lucy. I added it to the card font and then adhered the window to it. I love the way that the Card Frame Dies work! They are so cool and I can’t wait to see what additional dies they come out with. I hope that you enjoyed my Halloween Holiday card for the Fab Friday Color Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you for coming by to see me today! Have a fabulous Friday! 🙂
