Mojo Monday 493

I hope that you all had a happy Easter! I had a nice day with my family, got to play with Daniel and Tristan and spend some time with Taylor too! The weather was lovely except for a little shower. The rest of the evening was spent relaxing, watching a little TV. Back to the Store today to get some more projects finished! 😀

The start of a new week always means a new Mojo Monday sketch…

My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I ran a strip of American Crafts Plum Glitter Tape down the left side. Next I stamped some images from the Concord & 9th Flourish Photopolymer Stamp Set in Black Licorice, Ballet Slippers, Lobster, Fresh Lavender, Grape Soda, Sugarplum and Freshly Cut Grass. To continue on with my love of fussy cutting I used my Scissors to cut out the images. My panel is a piece of Solar White 80lb backed with a piece of Purple Hearts. I stamped the greeting from the Concord & 9th By Your Side Photopolymer Stamp Set In Sugarplum and adhered it to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My images are adhered with 3D Foam Squares. I love the white space and simplicity of the card and the Flourish Set is still a favorite! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see what the rest of the Team has done with the sketch and enter your card in the gallery! Thank you for starting another week off here with me! Have an amazing Monday! 🙂

I know I say it all the time but the weekend goes too fast! It was a gorgeous day here. I had a nice time in Manhattan in the morning and ran to get the train, literally! Boy am I out of shape! LOL! Jim picked me up at the station and we came back to my house, saw my Parents for a bit and then jumped in my car, put the top down and went for a nice long ride along the north shore. It’s so pretty up there and the houses are so nice. We stopped at IKEA on the way back and had some Swedish meatballs for dinner and did a little shopping. When we got back to my house I helped him with some iPhone stuff. The rest of the evening was spent catching up with some other friends! So nice to speak to my peeps! 😀

Ahh.. Monday, it’s not such a bad day when you have a new Mojo Monday sketch to start your day…

My card starts off with the usual base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. The background is a piece of Kraft that I stamped with the Concord & 9th Barnwood Background Photopolymer Stamp and some Doe Ink. Next up is a piece of of Chinese Red with the hearts from the Concord & 9th Love Always Photopolymer Stamp Set heat embossed in Hero Arts Gold Embossing Powder. I adhered that to the background and then a piece of American Crafts Gold Glitter Tape across it. My greeting is from the Concord & 9th By Your Side Photopolymer Stamp Set and is stamped in Cranberry onto a piece of Solar White 80lb. I adhered that to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Gold, Raspberry and Sparkling Clear Sequins finish it off! You know that Barnwood Background Stamp is my fave and I love the falling hearts too! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Another weekend gone too soon! I had a very busy and really fun one so no complaints. Yesterday I had a quick trip into Manhattan to see my friends Jon and Mary. I left them around 12:20 and ran down to The Ink Pad to drop off some things for Anna and then headed back to Penn to get the train home. I was home by 2:10 and then ran over to Heather’s to see the new paint in the living room, very nice. We did a few errands and then hung out at my house for a bit. Daniel was at my Parent’s so we played with him for a while. I took Heather home and then Taylor came by for a visit. The evening needed with a little TV. Today it’s back to the Store and some crafty fun! 😀

We are starting the week off as we always do with a new Mojo Monday sketch…

My card starts with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. For my background I used a piece of Merman. The two panels are Lawn Fawn Blue Raspberry Perfectly Plaid and Birthday Candles Watercolor Wishes 12×12. I adhered the Watercolor piece with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. I stamped the greeting and the waves from the Lawn Fawn Float My Boat Photopolymer Stamp Set in Merman Ink onto a strip of Solar White 80lb and cut the left on an angle. It’s adhered to the card with 3D Foam Squares. My boat and seagulls are from the same set. The boat is stamped in Peacock and the seagulls in Hippo. More 3D Foam Squares adhere them to the card. Just a few Pretty Pink Posh Share Kindness Mix add a little sparkle! Love that little boat and the seagulls, just fun! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! We hope that you will share your take on the sketch with us in the gallery after you check out the rest of the Team’s cards that they have made to inspire you over on the BLOG! Oh, it’s Monday already. The weekend really does go so fast! I did have a very nice day off! I ran a few errands in the morning and then Jim came over with lunch and we worked on his crafty project a little more. The rest of the evening was spent watching a TV and just being. It felt so nice to do not much at all. Today back in the swing of things at the Store! 😀

It’s Monday and time for this week’s Mojo Monday sketch…

My card starts off with a base of Ivory 110lb Card Stock. The notebook paper is a piece of Authentique 12×12 from the Twisted Collection. I adhered it to a piece of Black and then added some May Arts Ribbon around the middle. A piece of Echo Park Wintertime This & That 12×12 is adhered to a piece of Chinese Red and that is adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My image and greeting are from the Hero Arts Welcome Home Photopolymer Stamp Set and are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black. I colored in the bunny with Prismacolor Pencils and adhered him and the greeting to the card with 3D Foam Squares. A few Pretty Pink Posh Raspberry and Sparkling Clear Sequins and the card is done! I love that simple cozy little bunny sitting on the pillow, so cute! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! The start of a new week and they are calling for about a foot of snow for tomorrow! Really?! It’s March people, enough already! LOL! I played hooky from the Store yesterday, I have so many things that I need to get done around the house and I just needed a real day off! I went over to Heather’s in the morning and her George and I had breakfast. After that she and I went food shopping. When we got back I helped George put up some crown moulding and then Heather and I came back to my house to a bit of cleaning. I’m happy to report that I have a dining room table! Around 4:00 Taylor stopped by and then my friend Jim came over. We went to BestBuy and BJ’s to pick ups a few things, picked up dinner and had a nice meal at said table! After that we worked on a little project. Today I’m back at the Store with a little catching up to do! 😀

Monday’s mean that it’s time for a new Mojo Monday sketch…

I played with some new stamps from Sunny Studio for today’s card! The base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with a strip of Bo Bunny Double Dot Wasabi Stripe Paper, torn on the top and bottom, adhered down the left side. My flowers and greeting are from the Sunny Studio Timeless Tulips Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the flowers and leaves in Lawn Fawn Ballet Slippers, Bubblegum, Lobster, Jalapeño and Noble Fir Ink with my Mini MISTI and used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out. My background is a piece of Solar White 80lb, I used my Mini Ink Blending Tool to add some Merman Ink to it and trimmed off the edges. The greeting is stamped in Noble Fir and the panel is adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My flowers are added with a Quickie Glue Pen and 3D Foam Squares. I was going to add some Sequins or Clear Drops but decided that I like the card just the way it was! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thanks for starting another week off here with me! Have a marvelous Monday! 🙂

What a Sunday that was! When I got to the Store in the morning there was water all over, apparently there was an issue with a pipe somewhere in the building and it caused a leak. Renee, Angie and I must have used the Shop-Vac 20 times to vacuum up the water, they finally got it fixed around 3:00. Needless to say I didn’t get much done! My friends Lori and Debbie did stop by the store to pick up some goodies and I was also very happy that Jodi Collins from the My Favorite Things Design Team came in! So nice to get to meet her and chat with her about crafty stuff! You can see her blog HERE! After work I had dinner with my Parents and then watched some TV and read for a little bit. Today I’m off to Manhattan to see my friend Ella and maybe take a little trip down to The Ink Pad! Should be a fun day! 🙂

It’s Monday and you know what that means… time for a new Mojo Monday sketch…

For some reason lately I have been into some really bright colors! My card starts off with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with a piece of Pale Aqua for the background. All of my images are from the Lawn Fawn How You Bean? Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped the jellybean outline repeatedly onto a piece of Crisp Green with Lawn Fawn Freshly Cut Grass Ink to use for my strip down the middle. Next I used the Hero Arts Infinity Circles and Lawn Fawn Zig Zag Circles Stackables Lawn Cuts to cut out a piece of Purple Hearts and Lawn Fawn Gummy Bears 12×12 Paper. I adhered them to a piece of Solar White 80lb and then to the card. The jar is stamped in Lawn Fawn Minty Fresh. I used the Coordinating Lawn Cuts to cut out the stamped jar, a piece of Acetate and another piece of Solar White 80lb. I then cut out the negative of the jellybeans from the stamped jar, lined it up with the blank one and stamped the jellybeans in Memento Tuxedo Black. They are colored in with my Copics. I adhered the acetate to the back of the stamped jar and then used 3D Foam Squares to adhere it to the colored image. For the lid I heat embossed the image onto a piece of Galvanized Curios Metallic with Hero Arts Platinum Embossing Powder. It’s also cut out with the Coordinating Lawn Cuts and adhered to the jar that is then adhered to the card. For my greeting I used the Lawn Fawn Happy, Happy, Happy Photopolymer Stamp Set and stamped the happy in Merman, used the Coordinating Lawn Cuts to cut it out, stamped the birthday also in Merman onto a strip of White and flagged the right side. The happy is adhered with more 3D Foam Squares and the birthday is tucked under the circle. I added a few Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear, Raspberry, Amethyst, Pewter and Lemon Drop Sequins for a little sparkle! The jar looks much better in person, with the Acetate it really does look like glass! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you for starting your week off here! Have a marvelous Monday! 🙂

Another pleasant day at the Store! Renee, Angie and I all worked on our respective projects in the morning. Renee had a class at 1:00 and one of our customers is a LuLaroe Rep so she had a Pop-Up event at the Store. Lots of people came in and bought things. I left around 2:30 and came home to find Taylor at my house. We chatted and waited for my friend Jim to come over. I’m helping him scan in pictures for an album that he’s working on. We had dinner and watched some TV before he left to pick up his daughter. I have been meaning to call Danielle and catch up with her and I finally did. I still miss her so much! Today I have my usual projects to get done, always a labor of love! 😀

It’s Monday so you know what that means, time for this week’s Mojo Monday sketch…

Yes, I played with yet some more of the new Lawn Fawn release for today’s card! My images and greeting are from the Lawn Fawn Sewn with Love Photopolymer Stamp Set. I stamped my images in Jet Black and colored them in with Copics. They are cut out with the Coordinating Lawn Cuts. My card base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock with the front covered in a piece of Purple Hearts. I used the Lawn Fawn Zig Zag Rectangles, Squares and Circles to cut out a piece of Lawn Fawn Gummy Bears 12×12 Paper, Chinese Red, Tropical Sea and Wildflower Honey. The Patterned Paper is adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. Next up is a piece of Ballerina Pink with some Yellow Embroidery Floss wrapped around it. On top of that I adhered the rest of the shapes and stamped the Lovely on the Yellow Circle. The Sew is stamped in Jalapeño and cut out again with the Coordinating Lawn Cuts. I adhered all of the images with 3D Foam Squares and added a few Pretty Pink Posh Sea Breeze, Pink Blush, Marshmallow and Sparkling Clear Sequins and the card is done! I think that the patterned paper and the Zig Zag Dies really add to the sewing theme of the card! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see what the other Design Team members have made to inspire you and add your card to the gallery! Thanks so much for starting your week off with me! Have a magnificent Monday! 🙂

It was the most glorious day here yesterday! It got up to 65 degrees and it was nice and sunny! We had a fun day at the Store. Renee and Angie had their tag class, I worked on projects and catching up on things. I did sneak out early so I could go for a ride in the convertible! Oh how I love that! After some pizza for dinner Taylor and I watched a movie and then ran to Target. Today apparently is a Holiday, I will be at the store! Renee has her Home Decor Class today, more fun! 😀

It is Monday and that means time for this week’s Mojo Monday sketch…

I’m really into the teals and purples lately and that is evident on today’s card! My base is Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. I used the Concord & 9th Beautiful Words Photopolymer Stamp Set to stamp the outline word beautiful onto a piece of Purple Hearts with some Lawn Fawn Sugarplum Ink repeatedly to create a background and adhered it to the card. On top of that is a piece of Bo Bunny Believe Devotion 12×12 Paper with a piece of American Crafts Peacock Glitter Tape adhered across the bottom. I slipped a piece of American Crafts Purple Baker’s Twine behind the stamped background and tied it in a bow. My flagged piece of Tropical Sea has the solid beautiful heat embossed in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder across the top and the YOU is die cut from Cyber Grape using the Concord & 9th Beautiful You Dies. It’s adhered to the card with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner. My butterfly is cut from more Cyber Grape using the Concord & 9th Floral and Flutter Dies. I adhered it with a sliver of a 3D Foam Square and fluffed up the wings and antenna. Some Pretty Pink Posh Enchanted Garden Sequins complete the card. I still love that butterfly after all of this time and the colors, some of my current faves! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and check out the rest of the Team’s card and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you for starting your week off with me! Have a marvelous Monday! 🙂

Mojo Monday 484

Crop weekends are definitely my favorite weekends at the Store! Everyone is working on projects and laughing! I try to demonstrate something to make creating easier and more fun, sometimes it’s a big hit! LOL! And despite the gloomy, rainy day it was bright and sunny inside! After work I came home and a little Chinese with the Parent’s and then spent the rest of the evening watching the Grammy’s. With the exception of a few performances it was ok. Adele was amazing! Her version of Fastlove was incredible. And good for her starting over because something went wrong! She said she would and did! Today, another day of creativity at the Store, nice way to start the week! 😀

Since it’s Monday we get to be creative with a new Mojo Monday sketch…

My card starts off with a base of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock covered with a piece of Chinese Red. I used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle Stackables Lawn Cuts to cut out a piece of Patterned Paper and then stamped the airmail edge from the Altenew Happy Mail Photopolymer Stamp Set In Crimson and Sapphire Crisp Ink. I added a piece of 48lb Vellum that I cut out with the Lawn Fawn Stitched Squares Stackables Lawn Cuts to the rectangle and then adhered it to the card base with Fun Foam and E-Z Runner Ultra Strong. A strip of Deep Blue is adhered down the left side. My images and greeting are also from the Happy Mail Set. I stamped the stamps and postmark in Memento Tuxedo Black and used my Copics to color them in. The hearts in the center of the postmark are stamped in Crimson and then that is cut out with the Hero Arts Infinity Circles Dies. I trimmed out the stamps with my Scissors and adhered them all to the card with 3D Foam Squares . For the greeting I stamped part in Sapphire and the love in Crimson and adhered it with more 3D Foam Squares. I do love the mail theme to the stamp set and the versatility too! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Head on over to the BLOG and see the rest of the cards that the Design Team has created to inspire you! We hope to see your card in the gallery! Thank you so very much for starting your week off once again here with me! Have a stellar Monday! 🙂

Mojo Monday 483

Mojo Monday 483

Well, my Sunday didn’t start off as planned, I woke up at 6:00am with a massive headache, I text Renee to tell her I would be late, took Excedrin and went back to bed. Thankfully when I finally woke up around noon it had gone. I had to make the dip for the Super Bowl Party so I went over to Heather’s and did that. We picked up Stephanie and drove out to Islip for the party. We had a great time and the people that hosted it were really nice! I got to spend some time with my peeps and I enjoyed the Half-Time Show! Today I have lots to catch up on at the Store. One day not being there isn’t a good thing! 😀

The one thing that I really like about Monday’s is the fact that it’s time for a new Mojo Monday sketch…

I had the flower for today’s card sitting on my desk so I decided that it needed to get used! For the card base I used a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock and covered the front with a piece of Slate. To create my background I stamped the flower outline from the Altenew Beautiful Day Photopolymer Stamp Set in Evening Gray Crisp Ink onto a piece of Solar White 80lb. Next I heat embossed the leaf outline in Hero Arts White Embossing Powder onto another piece of Slate. Across the lower half of the card is a piece of American Crafts Silver Glitter Card. The flower and leaves are from the same set and are stamped in Blush, Rouge, Crimson, Velvet, Frayed Leaf, Forest Glades and Evergreen Crisp Ink. I used the Coordinating Dies to cut them out and adhered them with E-Z Runner and 3D Foam Squares. My greeting is also from the Beautiful Day Set and is heat embossed in more White onto a piece of 48lb Vellum. I used a strip of Rose Chintz with a thin strip of the Silver Glitter Card and some more 3D Foam Squares to hold down the vellum. I love the way the grays really let the flower stand out on the card! I hope that you enjoyed my Design Team card for this week’s Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge! Stop by the BLOG and see the rest of the Team’s cards and enter yours in the gallery! Thank you so much for starting another week off with me! Have an amazing Monday! 🙂
